  • I don't want that gun... I NEED that gun!

  • who makes the rail and where did you buy it

  • Bad ass vid-you did a great job! F-me was that a Phantom style flash suppessor on that FAL? What that puppy cost you? PS that cammo pattern rock's! I think your the only one who took the time to explain how this rifle operates!

  • wow i love the digital pixel skin on this FAL

  • Love the digital camo you put on that gun.

  • What size barrel does that one have?

  • What pistol grip are you running? Much better than the stock heavy raked angle grip.

  • Talagang Cool. Ma Galing na man, my Filipino Bro!

  • what kind of rail is on the foregrip?

  • i have a standard SA-58, and i have a problem with it not fully ejecting the spent cartridge. I use South African surplus ammunition. it may just be that the rifle needs to be broken in

  • @FALpwn change the gas port setting.

  • i liked you vid, what kind of grip is that?

  • I thought about getting one. But, kept my Springfield m1a instead. The m1a is more left handed friendly.

  • great camo o:

  • OMG great weapon.

  • well im bolivian, i can say the one time The FAL really stood out as a great rifle was stopping "el che" which for some may not be so great ( including myself) but it was proven to be a powerful, versatille and overall a great weapon, not common in large, first world countries, but here in south america, is almost as common as an AK in africa

  • It looks like a toy weapon. Is it a toy weapon? An Airsoft maybe? Or is it real?

  • I love tutorial videos made by awkward people that speak poorly! Good to know there are tons of unqualified people out there making instructional videos featuring firearms! Kudos to you good sir!

  • @drgonzo212 dont be a douche. He never gave credentials and he never claimed to be an expert, just an enthusiast. And the info he gave was fine.

  • so the PARA version has a folding stock and shorten barrel? and if so were did you buy yours and how much? and how did you make that sweet camo?

  • @oR3VoLUTioNz dsa offers the camo on there site dsa arms its called duracoat camo they have many designs have a look

  • its actually third the hk g3 another nato rilfle you forgot to mention

  • Hell of a rifle. 7.62 is a round that will actually stop bad guys, instead of just pissing them off like 5.56.

  • Good vid,who did the digi camo scheme?Thats badazz!

  • Great video

  • You know every little about the history of this assualte rifle. NATO never addopted FNFAL as it’s assualte rifle. The United States, France, and Germany along with several other NATO countries used other 7.62mm assualte rifles.

  • The DSA PARA FAL is a superb rifle and This weapon platform is next on my "to do" list..I think I am going to go with the 13 inch OSW SBR and set it up as a CQB rifle. setting up from 75 - 300 yards.Although it'll be good out to at least 700 yards with decent accuracy from a 13in barrel and 168gr Hornady TAP,Advance Armament QD 762-SD "Can",Probably scoped w/ an ACOG T11 and a Wilson Combat back-up sight

ZOMBIES BEWARE! Hell Comes At The End of a PARA FAL 7.62MM, Wait for Flash!

  • 7.62x54 is a russian rimmed cartridge moron. 7.62x51 and .308 are interchangable in most situations. Much like a 5.56x45 and a .223 God damn some people are retards.

  • informative video. next time include a lot of shooting though :)

  • very cool, thanks for the video.

  • @MrLegorampage nop it fails....i would have died years ago if this was true

  • @MrLegorampage FLAGGED!

  • what about the German G3 seirs of rifle are the varntitys on the fn fal?

  • You know very little about weaponry it seems. There was also the G3 which was adopted by even more countries.

  • i live near fabriek nationaal (FN) :P FTW!

  • in Brazil this model is called para-fal becouse is used by the paratroopers

  • Bad ass rifle bro

  • Is there a way to not lock the bolt back? like you just do not press the nub or is there something else?

  • with that camo makes it look like its made out of lego. camo or not people can still see the gun. especially with gray. it think it would look better plain old black. but what am i saying.....im way to poor to buy this type of stuff lol =(

  • @shallstr

you cant swap out para sights on a standard rifle. The para sights are a permanent part of the para lower receiver.

  • another failed asian tutorial

  • What an ugly FAL :|

  • Informative video, really helps when you're shopping.

  • Is this the virginia tech guy?

  • Isn't barrel supposed to be pointed up?

  • the perfect FAL...I WANT ONE!!!

right arm of the free world baby.

  • we cant have weapons like this in europe .. you are aware the guy that made the vid that what you just fondeled with is the best of any kind of weapon a civilian can own anywhere any place in the world and probably not even have to have it registered where you live? You lucky bastard.

  • Great video and I agree with the earlier poster about your fal having one of the coolest camo jobs I've seen.

  • also the design is for camouflage to not give you away due to reflections. whats the point of camoflaging the gun and not the mag. the mag not being camo'ed will give you away and get you shot..lol

  • Have you thought about getting the 30 round mags? They would look really cool on your DSA

  • Is that an 18"? I cant tell

  • that is sick looking. and good paint job if its custom. way better than a AK

  • That's probably the coolest looking FAL I've ever seen.

  • Its so fucking lame that in Canada semi auto FALS are illegal =(

  • i never understood......... why do they put designs on the mag if ur just going to throw it away anyways....

  • @halorunescaper after its empty you genrally put some bullets back in it or take it home and refill it you dont just throw a $20 - $50 piece of equipment away

  • @hamcheesesalami i mean like if ur in an armed force in a foreign country and u use it then u cant just go pick it back up and its a waste of paint and time lol

  • @halorunescaper they genrally have pouches which they put the mag back into and when they get back to base they relfill it...

  • @halorunescaper who the hell throws away their mags when some cost $50 bucks or more. in combat even soldiers dont throw their mags away. You watch to many movies dude.

  • @reesie0414

Agreed, thats what clips are for =P

Incidentally, the FALs are one of the few guns with detachable mags that can top load with stripper cips xD

  • what is the difference between the $1700 "SA-58" $1200 "imbel" FAL and the $1095 "STG55"? they are all they same basic rifle right? the only differnece I can notice is the furniture...so what the hell?!

  • @D3VENSTATION The SA58 is more expensive, since it's all made from brand-new parts. Imbel FALs and Stg58s are cheaper, because they have some original parts coming from import, while others are new and made in the USA.

  • the safety on the rifle is a British comonwealth design not aftermarket

  • Do you see the little lever, see the little lever. :)

  • im thinkin about gettin the shorty! i cant wait!!!

  • 23 views before modern warfare came out

  • Is this a short version? I saw some guys with FAL even longer?

Longer less kick I know that? Is your gun Semi-auto only? Wonder Bristish and Argentina shoot each other at Falkland, who is winner? (kidding)

    - In Vietnam and Africa they use this FAL for shoot wild water buffalo and Elephant in the head ..1 shot surely 1 kill

    - Nice color, good instruction....Hope you have fun with your toy..also good for deer too!

  • Thanks for posting video's focusing on guns. It seems every other you tuber trying to do this gets off in the weeds on politics, religion, raising kids etc. BTW if I had $2,000 to spare I would definitely get me a DSA SA58. Guess I need to keep saving!

  • @AERO1779

Under $100.00 USD get Moisin Nagant 7.62x54R (in the middle of .308/30-06

    Laminated stock and cheap AMMO

Deers and Hippo...Elephants or Water Buffalo had a hard time to stand up when HIT!

    - Save Money for AMMO....if you guys want $2,000 rifle to hang on the wall and show off are difference things ( World War 2 , Soviet Union Sniper Riffle)

  • @CharlieDoan Not a bad decision at all I've owned 2 the carbine and the long rifle. That round is a cruise missle.

  • sick camo job!!!! did you do it or pay to have it done ? how much if so ?

  • @turbodave420

    u mean K I S S ??

  • did you camo your rifle , if so any tips . if not how much ?

  • @shallstr I have the PARA model, so that has different sights than the standard one. I like it better, feels sturdier than the standard sights.

  • which one is better a 7.62 nato or 308. round fal's

  • @101JAYDAY The difference between a 7.62 NATO and the .308 is like the difference between a 5.56x45mm and a .223. They are considered more-or-less the same round. But if you're asking about 7.62x39mm which is what the AK47 uses, then 7.62x51mm (NATO) or the .308 is definitely superior in my opinion.

  • @slagman5 Have you heard of anyone breaking their SA58s recievers?

  • @1ohtaf1

i have heard a lot of people breaking recievers but only the aluminum ones.

  • @slagman5 Yes, dimensionally, their the same. NATO rounds are military ammos. They operate in higher pressure. So, you should never load a 55.6NATO on a barrelchamber marked 223Remington. It's dangerous!

  • @slagman5 Although there is no difference between the 7.62X51 NATO and the .308 Win, there is a difference in the 5.56X45 NATO and the .223 Rem. From what I understand, the 5.56 brass is somewhat heavier than that of the .223 because of the propellant the military used. The use of 5.56 NATO in earlier .223 chambered rifles could result in the breach failing and injury to the operator.

Depending on the application either round mentioned has it's advantages.

  • @slagman5 The 7.62X51 is a full on rifle cartridge, as I'm sure you know and was essentially a shortened .30-06. This was possible because of advancements in gun powder. If accuracey to distances over 400m's is req's then yes, the 7.62X51 is a great choice. If full auto capabilites are a requirement then an intermediate cartridge is req's. The operator would have to be Chuck Norris to thug a full auto FAL around all day. The cartridges mentioned aren't even in the same class.

  • @101JAYDAY

    7.62x51 = Equivalent to NATO .308

-Look in Machinist charge for more details

    - For me = look for somethings CHEAP for target....for hunt $ then OK for more expensive! because 1 shot surely 1 kill,, you don't want deer or elephants run around 4-5 hours hurt and you get in to: HARD TO FIND HUNTING CASE...kk

  • @101JAYDAY There are differences between the NATO / OTAN 7.62x51 and the Winchester .308, so please be guided as to applicability to a particular firearm by the gun manufacturer's recommendations, if they are a well established and reputable company. As to suitability for a particular use, that is a how long is a piece of string question, as for example a police SWAT team member will have different requirements in taking out a hijacker in an aircraft cockpit to private sport shooting of deer.

  • @101JAYDAY i'm pretty sure a 7.62x54 and a 308 is the same thing

  • @Redmond91 308 is 7.62x51 not 7.62x54 and there is a lot of difference, Don't try to chamber a 7.62x54r into your daddy's 308 rifle because it isn't going to work, and if you happen to get it chambered, you will destroy your rifle!

Pay attention to what the hell you are doing before you blow your face off!!!Or kill someone else!

  • @308stoner jesus man i messed up the measurements stop taking this shit so seriously

  • @101JAYDAY same size round but .308 is loaded at different pressures, mostly higher. always get it chambered in .308

however for .223 its different. they are loaded at much lower pressures than 5.56, so always get that chambered in 5.56, if its an AK type .223 it doesnt matter, they can handle the extra pressure as long as its not a centuryarms.

  • Im thinking of getting one but I dont want to spend over $1,200, Whats the difference between the SA58 and STG58, I know the STG is an Austrian version, but is there a big quality difference??

  • @clubtc05 The type of rifle doesn't really make a difference in quality, it's the manufacturer. The SA58 costs more because it's made by DSA, a very high quality manufacturer. Some FAL type rifles are made and sold much cheaper by other companies that might not have such high quality standards. But that doesn't mean all cheaper ones are not good, just some. You can definitely find some good ones for under that price, just do some research before you dish the cash. :-)

  • Comment removed

  • @clubtc05 Well, find out who makes it, and do some research on it. There are plenty of FAL forums out there. Take the time and make an account and post it as a question, I'm sure there are plenty of people who are willing to help. I know it's not a FAL forum, but give 1911forum a try, they have a longgun section where people are pretty nice and will try to help you.

  • @slagman5 O ya im doing tons of research everwhere I just found out that the stg has a DSA stamped receiver so I should be good to go on the STG. Thanks for the help :)

  • @slagman5 Im just gonna get the SA-58 might as well if im gonna use this as my self defense and SHTF rifle. Thanks for the help :)

  • @clubtc05 Excellent, post a video of you shooting it when you get it. Make sure to follow the instructions for setting the gas regulator for reliable function.

  • wont the bolt come forward when you insert a loaded magazine? nice rifle. how does she group?

  • @STORM6490MT Nope, the bolt hold open lever keeps the bolt in the open position until you manipulate it down to release it. The best group I got with iron sights at 100 yards was about 2 inches, might be able to do better with optics... Won't know until I try, lol.

  • wow Mw2 completely changed the reloading..you just flick it off lol now that is a FAiL

  • @OmegaTrooper1, you can actually actuate the magazine release with the corner of a fresh magazine, so it's not really a fail. You can do that with just about any rifle that has a "rock and lock" system, given you have enough room to get the mag behind the release. The fail imo is that the AK isn't reloaded in the same manner.

  • @gsm1091 oh ok thanks...QUICK REPLY!

  • @OmegaTrooper1 Anytime, i'm sure that'll knowledge will come in handy, someday...

  • Very nice, what kind of Moa do you get at 100 yards with irons and or optics on that battle rifle?

  • @LompicoEletronics No money for optics yet, but so far the best group I was able to get with iron sights was around 2 inches. Will probably be better with optics.

  • You have got a great one.. I need a DSA .. I'm getting mine "old school"! thanks for reminding me what is important in life. vid shooting?

  • That digital pattern rocks.

  • dude that gun is fuckin tight as hell. you got the digital urban camo. the rail mounts. i would give my left nut for that gun lol

  • You have not posted a vid in a while, hope alls well. Question, looks like you have short fingers like mine. Do you have to work hard at keeping your trigger finger from slipping inside the guard on these semi rifles? I know, nothing beats a straight finger, but mine does not always rest, naturally on the front of the trigger guard.

  • i dont really know how its work in tthe usa for example...

but can you buy every weapon you want?

    just everything but nuclear weapons^^?

  • @ulkord

    No.

Automatics are very expensive and very difficult to get. Not completely illegal, but it's a safe assumption that if you're seeing a rifle, even a military surplus (probably a rebuild, see 922r), unless it's being presented as full auto, you're looking at a semi-auto.

Also, some states are more permissive in their laws than others. California, for example, is quite restrictive, while here in Nevada, our gun laws are very liberal.

  • F-A-L

    Not "Fal"

  • How much did you pay for your FN FAL because a gun store near wear i live had one for like $2,500

  • @TheViralKings It wasn't cheap, that's all I'm going to say, lol.

  • @slagman5 Spill the beans lol :P Thats such a damn nice weapon.

  • should kept m14 should have redeiganed it to be a carbine by way nice urban fal folding stock looks like a modern rifle of tgoday then old style

  • very well done review. You explained an unfamiliar weapon [to me anyway] in a very easy way to understand.

  • @HurpDurr id rather have Vietnamese on my side , scrappy , showed the fat yank a few things in the 60s didnt they

  • @HurpDurr Haha! Racism is fun!

  • germans and spanish used the G3 from hk not the FN FAL

  • I really like that digital camo you got on that rifle

  • so... there's no point of the trigger?

  • Good vid. DSA seems to make a very nice FAL and I came very close to buying on. There was one deal breaker. You can't shoot steel cased ammo in it. If I have to pay twice as much for ammo in a certain gun then I will buy another weapon instead. I am not looking for a safe queen in urban camoflauge.

  • @shurnee If I wanted to shoot crappy ammo I'd buy a crappy weapon. I shoot my FAL like I shoot all my other weapons. I don't fire steel cased ammo through ANY of my weapons, cheap or expensive. Well, unless I had an AK-47, because that weapon isn't accurate to begin with, so I probably wouldn't care about the barrel...

  • @slagman5 Different strokes for different folks. Millions of shooters use steel cased ammo in a host of different weapons with no problems. If I can afford to shoot twice as much by using the steel cased stuff then I'd rather spend my time at the range instead of having my guns just sit in the safe. I don't buy safe queens (especially not $1500 ones).

  • @shurnee Don't know why you keep talking about safe queens, I shoot mine just as much as any other rifle I have...

  • @slagman5......is it just your sights that need ajusted?.....the ak47 is accurate, the inaccuracy of it is just a myth.

  • @rickieingle101st It's not the sights if the groups are the size of a big screen tv at 100 yards...

  • @slagman5....Oh, whats the quality of your ammunition

  • @rickieingle101st The FAL is milled as apposed to being stamped metal like an AK or G3/Cetme. milled rifles are just more expensive to manufacture but more accurate. another thing to take note is that G3 with its blow back system when used in conjunction with steel cased ammunition is extremely harsh on the mechanics sometimes resulting in a catastrophic failure. a FAL can shoot Steel cased ammo but be careful steel/steel contact will stick to the barrel if you fire the rifle "HOT".

  • @assmonkey626 I don't think machined or stamped makes a big deal in accuracy. My stamped AK's and milled AK's really shoot about the same. The flutes in the chamber are the reason why it beats up the brass. I've never heard of catstrohphic failures with steel cased ammo being an issue in the G3. There is no steel in the actual projectile so your point about steel and steel contact is mute point.

  • @esh325 steel casings not the projectile itself. you should look into it some more, one of my friends had an explosion happen because of it and the gun busted. and no its not just the flutes that cause the beating up on the brass. again this is shooting roughly 500 rounds in one go those guns are designed to fire with brass casings only. the whole mechanism is hard on the brass not just the flutes.

  • @assmonkey626 The steel on the gun is a lot harder then the steel on the case.

  • @esh325 in my experience with AKs stamped always preformed slightly better either because of quality construction or better parts (generally more expensive). forgot to mention i did inspect some brass out of that cetme/g3 and there is bending and dents not just scratching caused by the flutes.

  • @assmonkey626 I've owned tons of AK's and the machined ones shoot about the same groups as the stamped ones. If there is an accurary difference it's more likely because of the heavier barrel that is on the milled ones. I don't have a G3, but from what I read it's normal for them to beat up the brass.

  • @esh325 that's exactly what i said it beats up the brass but ammo like Russian Tula or Wolf that uses steel casings cause damage that eventually end up in catastrophic failure with sustained use. aside from that you can still reload brass fired from it its just a pick and choose sort of thing some come out too damaged, scratches from the flutes don't necessarily mean much the extraction dents and warps the brass. we have fired at least 7 different cetme/91's always with the same problem.

  • @rickieingle101st if your going to use low quality Steel ammo in your FAL go Russian and not Chinese. Chinese ammo has to be among the worst i have ever fired... wolf, brown bear, silver bear does alright but but not tula (although it looks real cool). oh and the AK i would have to argue is inaccurate even on milled ones the rifle's tolerance is just too low. the long stroke piston pushes the barrel and receiver into a flex. but hey it will always keep chucking brass and that's what its good at.

  • @assmonkey626...you have a good point because the ak does throw itself around, when i shoot an ak i have alot of hits and misses but, everyone has a good day and a bad day.

  • @slagman5 not if you have a brand new AK that is old ak parts slapped together! nice FAL tho bad assss

  • @rickieingle101st true that. its getting used to the simplicity of the rear sight.

  • @SymAmineC8H11N....yeah, the russian sights take some gettingused to.

  • pretty cool, I think the canadian army used to use these... but they are illegal for civilians to own, or at least... prohibited. I think our government melted most of our fal's once we changed weapons.

  • Cool

  • MODDER

  • What about along with the U.S. M14 (which no one else went with except until we gave them ours later) all the other countries that went with the 7.62 HK G-3 or Spanish Cetme? It wasn't only the two, FAL and M14 you know... Plus letting the bolt slam home dry ain't a big deal. It slams home naturally during firing, doesn't it?

  • its too damn long, is there a para version????

  • My God I want that rifle...and I have a love affair with digital camoflage. I'm assuming you put that rifle to your specs on order, slag. If I may ask...what was the pricetag? And how long was the wait?I might have to sell a kidney to buy one.

  • ive never had a prob out of any other than wolf 308 just clean after egipt and dont worry about the bolt slamming home on emty chamber if something is going to brake id rather it happen at home than on the range or when i needed it mines a frankinstine

  • Awesome looking rifle! Whats the accuracy at 100 yards with these? Cheers

  • stupid question but does this rifle shoot both .308 win and 7.62x51 nato? from DSA website it looks they only recommend .308 win, i want to purchase this exact rifle but i only want to purchase it if it can shoot both .308 win and 7.62x39.

  • @adamjaw123 Are you asking 7.62x39mm or 7.62x51mm? You went back and forth between them. Anyway, this rifle can shoot .308 and 7.62x51mm safely, but not 7.62x39mm at all... There are some ammo it recommends AGAINST, like Egyptian ammo and some others, but most of them you probably won't use anyway. Don't use Wolf ammo either. Just stick to the good stuff and you'd be fine.

  • @slagman5 lol sorry i didn't mean to put 7.62x39 in there i was really tired my bad. but thank you for the info i will definitely be looking into buying a rifle from DSA. i was thinking about a M1a but i really like the FAL design. oh and another question are the barrels in these rifles chrome lined or chrome moly or something else? and how much are magazines usually for this rifle? lol one more question how much did you pick this bad boy up for?

  • @adamjaw123 They are not chrome lined, there is a certain model that is, but for the rest, it isn't. The magazines are pretty cheap, I see them at gunshows for about $10 each, but most are in used condition but you can find some in pretty good shape. I was actually in the market for a M1A/M14 type rifle when someone recommended the FAL to me. I did a bunch of reading and research and decided on the FAL.

  • @slagman5 ....Also,is that the SA58 para carbine w/18'' barrel? And where did you get the grip? I was leaning towards a ptr-91 for a .308, but you sir have changed my mind!

  • @nocturnalx5 It's the Carbine Para with 16" barrel in Original series (not Tactical Series) that is the base model. I then had just about every upgrade put into it. Speed trigger, quad-rail handguard, Ergo grip, extended scope mount, Phantom flash hider, and digital camo. And it was very expensive. I had to save up for a while for it... :-P

  • @nocturnalx5 The only thing I don't like about the rifle is the placement of the sling swivels. There's one attached to the barrel that just kind of rotates freely, I actually took that thing off. Then the other is back by where the receiver meets the folding stock. The problem with that is that it can get in the way of the take-down lever... I want to take that out too, I don't use either for my sling...

  • At the price the DSA cost, you might as well get a preban. I'm trying my luck with a Century arms one.

  • @esh325 Preban... what ban? That was a term used a lot during the so-called "assault weapons ban." But that has since expired... I've seen some small parts on century arms FALs that would break without much stress put on them... So I'd personally pay a bit more for a DSA. But that's just my opinion.

  • @slagman5, i can't think of a better term. How about pre 1991 rifles like the original FN and Israel FALs. You aren't paying a little bit more for a DSA, you're paying A LOT more. The prices of DSA's are like 1500-2k.

  • @esh325 That's the point, back during the AWB, you wanted one built before so it will have the features that the assault weapons ban made illegal. Now, you can get a brand new rifle with all of those same features. So why buy an older rifle? And yes, it's expensive, but I've seen more than one example of Century Arms FALs have a part break or fail. Personally, I'd rather save up more money for another month to buy a higher quality product than skimp and have headache later. But that's just me.

  • @slagman5, You were right. I puckered up and ordered a DSA FAL.

  • @esh325 What made you change your mind?

  • @slagman5, that Century Arms builds shit and that DSA is the only reputable FAL builder. The century model was the inch model that I prefered but the DSA was metric so I decided that getting something that will work and has more quality was more important.

  • @esh325 Well, I hope you really enjoy your DSA FAL. Remember that you have to properly set the gas regulator before it'll cycle through rounds reliably. Some people don't realize they need to do that and wonder why it fires only single shot... If you have any questions about how to do anything, please let me know. :-)

  • @slagman5, Thank you. Is it possible to shoot low powered loads in my FAL?

  • @esh325 I'm sure it is, but if it's significantly lower energy than the rounds you set the regulator to, then it might not be enough to cycle the weapon and you'd have to either close up the regulator more, or simply operate the charging handle yourself after each shot. But if you have any questions regarding ammo and ammo types, I recommend you ask it directly to DSA just in case. I don't want to give you wrong information.

  • @slagman5, I shot my STG58 and I was extremely impressed with the reliability and accuracy, even with steel cased ammo. DSA builds an awesome FAL!
