@tookoolkris Its the new school generation of "film" makers. They would have never survived back when equipment and media access was so expensive that you had to be skilled and prove yourself enough to to work for media groups and production houses. These days, technology is so available that it it is accessable to people who never really had to prove themselves or work there way up. There for we now have directors using the camcorder mic for everything. He needs to learn what a "lavalier" is.
@sirbluebloodington oh look at you. the fucking preacher. preaching how "hard" it was back in the old days. you scum bag. it's pretty fucking hard to land a job doing media currently so dont get stupid saying it was so hard and you had to prove yourself. you still have to prove yourself nowadays, and it's much harder because there is SO MUCH COMPETITION. so it is harder believe it or not. i know what a lavaliere (also called "lapel" mic) microphone is. i've learned a lot in my classes.
@Rebldoomer @Rebldoomer excellent point. You have also proved that today's new schoolers can't convey their sentiment without such educated terminology as "fuck" and "scumbag". I will accept this as your concession to my argument.
I've got a great idea! Let's do our interview at the freeway exit to the airport! Wait, why are you bringing those microphones? We won't be using those!
While I like Sasha's calm and short answers, I'd more like it if he would go more in depths...like for example about school shootings and all that stuff...many people take it wrong way unfortunately :/ and I am kind of person who likes clearing things up and being strait to the point, so I'd like them as well to be very strait and precise about it, so people could once and for all stop their nonsense about KMFDM being suicidal band...seriously...cause they're pretty much opposite of that.
@VEGETADTX I asked Sascha about that too and he didnt have much to say. I guess its kind of a sore subject with him and he made it pretty obvious he didnt want to talk about it. But, he is totally awesome. Really cool dude.
I am glad its like that, and lucky you for talking to Sascha :D
I'd really like to hear Sascha step up somewhere on the big concert or such and say "I want to clear few things up - WE ARE NOT suicidal band, satanic band nor anything like that, we have nothing to do with it, in fact we preach good things, and criticize bad things as it can be heard in our lyrics. And THIS you SHOULD take seriously GOD DAMN IT!" :D
That would even spare them from journalists once and for all :)
@VEGETADTX Yeah I met him last monday before he perfomed a concert in Hamburg. We chatted for a bit before he had to go back in to get things ready. After the concert I talked with him and Lucia and basically everybody in the band for a good 3 1/2 hours. It was a blast. Sascha kept buying me drinks. If you ever get the opportunity to meet them and hang out with them DO IT!! Totally awesome people. Each and every one of them.
@VEGETADTX if you have a facebook account, you can check out the pics I took of and with the band. Just do a search for Gordon Stockdale. When you see my profile pic, you'll know who it is.
@BeephLypz I'm not that lucky, I mean I also met them after a show and they were really open to the fans, I won't forget it however in such cases I become like a kid and I simply fall in ecstasy from the concert and there is nothing I can say or ask so I just stood there for a while, got the tracklist signed, smiled and then finally walked away while recovering from mental orgasm :D
@torpormeister Yeah I was pretty overwhelmed at first also. But Kapt'n basically told me to chill out and that everything was cool. When they do their next tour through Germany, I'm definitely going again. He'd still remember who I am I'm sure.
@VEGETADTX why? slayer doesn't apologize for angel of death. if you're stupid enough to be unable to discern the meaning of a song, or to think hurting people is ok, then you have bigger problem than the music you listen to.
That still does not change the fact that you should NOT be promoting something that is simply WRONG...unless its sarcasm and parody, which is definitely not the case with Slayer particularly.
Whats the song playing in the beginning? PLEASE!
