It's good to be short, but not too short for an inch-thick novel, n that's exactly what happened to Eragon. I like the movie, but I'm really disappointed abt missing the werecat, Teirm, Durza's blow n all the best parts in the movie, not just minor things, theres not even a link to Eldest!

The movie isn't bad.... It's just that the book(s) are taht much better.

So if you compare the book with the movie, the books are better.

If they want to make another movie they need to remake the first movie.

But that's just my opinion.

TBH i saw the film first and i genrally really enjoyed it. I love dragons so i loved the story and Jeremy Irons as Brom was really cool. Now i am reading the books and i'l admit i prefer them and i realised just how much was missed. Pity really i bet the books could be adapted to a really epic film series :)

What I can`t forgive about the movie is how they made Saphira suddenly turn into an adult dragon by flying into the sky when in the book, it took the usual months for her to grow bigger. When Eragon rode her for the first time, she was about the size of a horse. Also her horrifying feathered wings. What`s with that?

There is a bit of a major difference between missing a few parts and almost wiping out half of the important parts inorder to creat a decent sequel... also if they didn't have the budget for a some goddamn pointed ears they really should've thought about hiding Arya's ears throughout behind her hair... which was suppsosed to be black. IMO there had better be a remake and it had better be epic

I think It's possible to continue, and I have two examples. One, arya is not similar to the book, they can easily just change the looks for the next one just like storm in x-men 1,2, and 3. Two, I think saphira's fire is supposed to be blue so they can easily put that on the scene as Gleadr teaches her that technique.

Wow, why are people giving this such bad reviews? I didn't read the books, I thought the movie (and music) was amazing. Loved the ending, loved the action, thought a lot of the "magic" was done VERY well. I'm just sad to hear that it didn't do too well in the box; I doubt we'll be seeing that sequel I was hoping for :(.

Thats the thing. This was an okay movie in and of itself, compared to the lord of the rings movies and the Harry Potter movies and their likeness to the books. Those movies were made especially well, and very acurate to the books. It was much too short to relay all of the things in the book. It was also really irritating that they changed exact things, like:Arya has black hair and pointed ears, and Durza has red eyes, and Arya has no feelings for Eragon. It just pissed people off is all.
