  • I am non musician but interested of these things...the most ear friendly sounds are approx.from 2.35 to 3.15. Most of them with sound like broken equipment, nothing else. I guess a good tremolo does the same at a lot cheaper.5.02 sounds good too

  • Unbelievable. this is the 4th ring modulator demo I've seen today and NONE of them took a stab at the solo from Paranoid. Sacriledge!!!!

  • this along with the crybaby demo are my favorites, it just makes me laugh when the unforeseen happens. even with the demo not really giving an idea of what the pedal is for, its still entertaining. wether its sinking or steering the course, stay on the boat and keep it rockin

  • I didn't know Jack Black was doing this, nice to hear you dude! :)

  • That pedal sucked good funny video !

  • This could be perfect for New Wave and maybe Post-punk, not blues.

  • This pedal makes me think of all those crazy sounds by Electric Light Orchestra or Manfred mann's Earth Band...anybody agree??

  • Jack Black?

  • Comment removed

  • That pedal is begging to take it away from this asshole

  • ive yet to hear a ring modulator make a guitar sound good.

  • @overlook77 Listen to The Mars Volta.

  • @overlook77 Take a listen to the intro of Pendulous Threads By Incubus

  • well, there's six minutes and seven seconds of my life i'll never get back

  • dude i swear you're jack black. if you are you should play the metal through that pedal, it would be facemelting O.o

  • When i heard the intro, i reached for my iphone:/

  • Classic G man!!! Tell it like it is...

  • dude it sounds like jack black!!!!!

  • Look at his hand its's Jack Black!

  • germanthedude is jack black! Look at his hand at 00:50

  • WHY WOULD YOU PLAY BLUES WITH THIS?????

  • Think of this as a sort of fancy tremolo.

  • listen to take the veil cerpin taxt - the mars volta. that is proper use of this pedal :)

  • Someone I know who plays guitars w/ Jack Black told me this really is him!

  • Hey Jack, good work on the demo, when are you going to show your face on one of these demo's and admit that you are indeed the master of Kung Fu!!!

  • omg i don't know what it was but i just couldn't stop laughing. probs because i was picturing the expressions on your face while figuring out what the hell this thing does...

  • Dude.. crank up the gain and your tone stays the same. This ring mod is the main pedal of my chain.. its sick. I have 4 expression pedals just for this peda. Gain,LFO, Tone, and Frequency... Its truly one of the better pedals ever made. The pedal works by taking the sum and difference of the tone that goes into it. So if it hears your guitar or vocal tone at 200 and 700, it outputs signals of 200, 500, 700, and 900 Hrtz.. so cool.. run some beats through her and you'll think you was Dre.Sick

  • u sound like jack black but better than him on guitar never seen anything like this thing thanks for posting

  • I used to have this pedal. Ended up trading it because, yeah, you just don't really end up using it all that much. But they are really fun to play with, and makes a great over-priced tremolo pedal. Thanks, Kung-Fu Panda!! Haha

  • Really cool demo xD. Please could anyone tell me the name of the intro song??

  • good demo , can you demo the pick of destiny next ?

  • what a useless pedal....... but thats just my opinion...... which don't mean shit for most people.

  • I have one of these. I use it mainly for noise making, or John McLaughlin style fusion. If you turn the LFO off and play really fast but short intervals, it sounds wonderful. But you can really only use it here and there or it gets on people's nerves. The lo-setting makes it a wonderful tremolo, though.

  • of plague, and a white stratocastor of the same ilk hahah

  • yummy tremolo

  • Guthrie Govan pulls it off quite well.

  • at about 5:00 you got a good sound

  • i'm assuming a pedal like this would take hours to show all of its different sounds

  • i can only assume this sounds good with obscene amounts of distortion in a drone metal band like Sunn O))) or Boris.

  • Either you are Jack Black or you're trying very hard and very successfully to sound like Jack Black

  • Cool demo because it shows what any normal guitar player would do the first time that put his hands on this things

    keep on rocking!

    greatings from Brazil

  • @FHrgr lol moog players aren't 'normal'

  • i tried a simular pedal in a guitar store once. i couldnt work out how to use it either..

  • are you Jack Black. you sound exactly like Jack Black

  • @AnalogVenture... I think the same thing everytime i watch one of this guys videos... how does jack black find the time to make these youtube demos?

  • i'm thinking i could use these moogerfooger pedals to recreate some dubstep sounds and then do dubstep sound in the confines of a 'punk rock band' setup like rage against the machine did with hip hop/industrial sounds

  • @zep123dmc I suggest saving more and getting the pigtronix mothership.

  • Dave Matthews & Tim reynolds- 'nough said. Tim Reynold's use of this piece yields some crazy good results!

  • I have one - it's awesome. Brilliant little unit, once you get used to how it works, and find a proper use for it, it's quite versatile and interesting.

    also, it's easily repairable

  • the real power on the moogerfoogers is on CV ins and outs... there is where you can really have the real control... add the phaser to this unit and use some of the modulation capabilities to route this unit and you will be totally freaked out!... of course, is not for everyone

  • Hey Gearmandude! You should get along with someone else when you do your demos so that "someone else" could turn the knobbies while you play!

  • This is BY FAR the best of the moogerfooger pedals - and yes, it is better than the Analog delay. (which actually sucks).

  • God this thing makes some wacky sounds. When you start using it as a tremolo its beautiful.

  • that's one warm tremolo-sound in there!

  • I've heard lots of people say these make the finest sounding tremolos they've ever used, and I can hear that. Plus it does a lot of other cool stuff. Expensive toys, but awesome toys.

  • apparently Josh Homme uses one of those a lot, especially in Them Crooked Vultures and QotSA......I'm pretty sure Tony Iommi used one too, in the solo for Paranoid and in Killing Yourself to Live.

I'd sure buy one, if only it wasn't damn expensive. For that money, i should get assistance from someone who knows how to work one of those...

  • what would you use that for? What were they thinking in making this? " Hey dudes lets make a pedal that rapes the signal and screws the tone?" Just joking some of the sounds were not bad but not really anything I would pay for.

  • @gibsonjammer1 They were probably thinking HEY, I KNOW, LETS LET PEOPLE HAVE FUN. These kind of pedals aren't for everybody, I guess.

  • i dont think it was a bad pedal, i just dont think it suits your style of playing. but pretty good, in-depth demo!

  • Cool demo, but TERRIBLE sounds !! . {;o)

  • @PeterRosenqvist

if you don't know HOW to use these they WILL sound terrible!

  • Maybe best left on a shelf as an ornament next to the Conn Strobotuner...maybe not.Who knows?Lol

  • John Frusciante uses these alot but i have no idea how

  • I wouldn't spend like ~$700 on this thing. Now the delay on the other hand...

  • wtf I though my iphone was going off lol in the beginning cause thats one of its ringtones

  • bak in Dallas!

  • @ gmd and pimorules , lemee help u out ! customcanamps is where to find! GMD love the killer tomato or as we say killermater!!!!!!!

  • ring modulators suck hard. I liked the demo though. Its nice to see a high quality terrible effect :-)

  • @libertyfalls the crowd boos.

  • Please do a Line 6 FM4 demo. I love you.

  • these moog pedals are more intended for use with modular systems and analog synths. to use them with guitar or bass or piano or something you really have to know what you're doing with them.

parts of it still sounded good though!

  • did you ever find out who made you that beer can amp? still waiting to find out where i can get one lol

  • @pimorules yeah, i've been hoping to hear more about that too.

  • Send it my way, I'll make that sucker SANG!!!!

  • this thing sounds aweful...

  • it's about time. thanks gearmanndude! rock on!

  • hey im first!!! i love your vids!
