There is NO finite scientific definition of the beginning of life, so there is no definite point at which a foetus becomes a life. Therefore, the matter is entirely up to the individual and their judgement. If YOU believe life begins at conception, then YOU can CHOOSE not to have an abortion. Not everyone holds this view, and therefore it is a CHOICE. You're not pro-life, you're anti-choice (as well as being misogynistic and ignorant and all the rest of it).

Abortion is wrong, MOST of the time. Under certain circumstances, abortion is the moral thing to do. If you have a 14-year old girl who was raped, she should have the choice to get an abortion. What about the woman who gets raped? Where is HER choice? She doesn't have one. IT;s also her right to CHOOSE to abort. I'm pro-choice all the way. I think there are good reasons for abortion but it's taken too lightly. It's important to give someone the choice to have an abortion, but if you're not in an extreme situation expect the guilt to weigh heavily on you. I expect everyone feels that way at the time, but step 1 if you don't want a baby is using contraception correctly. An abortion is a huge choice, it's just human to feel that way, and there are a lot of people urging women not to do it because they have to live with the guilt.
Oh and heres a FACT for you...the planets resources barely support life on earth as it is, we're living longer and using up more resources than ever before, want an example of what'd happen if abortion was outlawed? Look at 3rd world countries where these things arent available, overpopulation and starvation. In the case of rape, I think abortion is justified. You have to look at this from the victims point of view. There is NO finite scientific definition of the beginning of life, so there is no definite point at which a foetus becomes a life. Therefore, the matter is entirely up to the individual and their judgement. If YOU believe life begins at conception, then YOU can CHOOSE not to have an abortion. Not everyone holds this view, and therefore it is a CHOICE. You're not pro-life, you're anti-choice (as well as being misogynistic and ignorant and all the rest of it).

The rape victim is commonly used but still valid. You don't understand that pregnancy isn't something that's over and done with in a week, it takes nine months of carrying that developing child and (in my own mother's case) 2 days of unimaginable pain popping it out. As much as this may sound counter intuitive, I think that the baby would truly be better off dead than having to be scarred for life from a negligent mother who doesn't want it/not being able to fully connect with their adoptive parents OR just being shipped around a lot.

In response to your analogy, if my life sucked because my parents didn't have the resources to help me live,If I lived in a shack, had no education (lived in a area) and got no attention from my parents (because they didn't want me) would I want to continue living "the great life," while still fucking my parents because I'm the reason they're still broke? Q 1: that isn't fair, you are taking one weak argument and saying, OK all anti abortionists believe this and don't have any other arguments. Q 2: when my mother had me she was a grown, married woman, and she and my father wanted another child, therefore it is false and unfair to ask this question in this context. I actually believe that if a woman can take care of the child or is willing to give the child up after birth, and is willing to have the child, then it would be unfair to abort the kid.

You suggested adoption, but children would much rather be raised by their own parents who love them & are able to care for them. That situation is the healthiest for them. A lot of ppl who adopt are brilliant & make wonderful parents, but there won't be enough of them if we prohibit abortion. If that soul was meant to be born into the world, it would find another way.

Or maybe the woman got raped she could be too young to have a baby, it could put her life in danger. I am really not pro choice or pro life. I find it a complicated matter that I think is a preventable matter with the simple use of birth control. I appreciate your perspective on issue however your rational is flawed. The choice has always been with the parents. You have no more choice in the matter to be born than you do to be aborted. Hence the "choice" doesn't fall to anyone else than the parents. therefore the better choice is to use birth control in the first place and avoid the wholeIssue

Therefore the choice has never been up to the baby. You or I never chose to be born nor would we have a choice if our parents aborted us. This is what i meant when I said that the choice has always been with the parents and not the baby. However once the baby is underway, is it morally right to stop the in the process of development i.e. abortion? I honestly cant say that I would agree with it in most circumstances and feel that with today's birth control measures it can be avoided altogether.

Okay, so, lets say the woman is raped. She is forced to have the kid. That kid will be either raised by a woman that has the strength to go through with the offspring of someone who put her through hell, or, most likely, abuse it and make it feel worthless.

I think there are good reasons for abortion but it's taken too lightly. It's important to give someone the choice to have an abortion, but if you're not in an extreme situation expect the guilt to weigh heavily on you. I expect everyone feels that way at the time, but step 1 if you don't want a baby is using contraception correctly. An abortion is a huge choice, it's just human to feel that way, and there are a lot of people urging women not to do it because they have to live with the guilt.

In the case of rape, I think abortion is justified. You have to look at this from the victims point of view.
