@slickcross I think that's sort of the point. To me it's the idea of seeing how far they could push the concepts of simplicity and realism. It's puts emphasis on the important things in music, like the song writing and the energy. I agree, Jack is one hell of a producer; he shows it quite often, but the White Stripes are about how much you can do with so little. If two people can record albums in their living room with pre-60's equipment and win Grammies, that's a pretty big statement on music.

Two things. 1. I have seen this done before, meaning without a bass player. I don't know if the band is trying to prove, that, you don't need a bass player, ( which they do ) to sound good, or, splitting the money is more between two.

2.If he loves what he's doing, that's what it is all about. If he has many gigs playing this music, great. BUT THIS GUY HAS AN INCREDABLE VOICE, and could be doing Led, Aero, and other hard hitting male parts. this guy could be busy. drummer, tim andrew
