  • Need to attach a mini clutch to make a desktop lathe

  • Im having trouble wiring the pinouts to a usb cable, and Im using a multimeter. The usb port is supplying 5v. I manage to get it spinning for 2 sec sometimes more, but later stops. I took an electrical class, but Im still a newbie. Please, help!

  • Is just me wondering, WTF is it for?

  • i had the exact motor that you have! but unfortenatly i destroyed it!

  • where did you get the RC speed controller

  • who tried to click away the link when it popped up? so used to the adverts n shit.

  • did you get it work with arduino or a pic ? if so can you post the circuit ?

  • should also add use a BEC to reduce the voltage for the servo tester all up will cost less that $10 and save having to use all the radio gear.

  • Just use a servo tester to drive the ESC... about $5 or less on Ebay, thanks for sharing ;)

  • @Sputnik11

    3 Channel Servo/ESC CCPM Tester Checker 3Ch 4.8V - 6V

So this thing can drive the HDD motor ?

  • How many volts/amps are needed to run a hdd motor?

Just want to run motor at one constant speed. In other words is it possible to connect voltage directly to motor and get it to run properly? If so what voltage am i aiming for so I don't fry the motor?

  • Can the motor be powered by the esc alone or must a radio controller be attached?

  • The esc just needs a PWM signal. So you can run it from other stuff like an Arduino.

  • @RockfishNW The 3 wires connected to the receiver? What are they ? are they 3 PWM signals with 120 lag?

  • Thanks. Very informative.
