  • the 1100 sounds like a jet

  • weres the snow???

  • i cant even explain the sound of the 1100

  • WoW ! That's nearly ONE inch of snow ! Cool !

haha, i hate the climate change, we had 6 feet+ of snow each year and now it's february and i can see the focking lawn in front of the house !! :(

  • @daver18qc no shit where you from?

  • @jamtoz Quebec, Canada... normally we have lots of snow but the last couple of years it's harder and harder to find snow. My neighbour bought a brand new Summit X and he's barely been able to find enough snow to ride. We have some, but it's shallow and lot's of rocks hitting the skis.. :-(

  • @daver18qc im from gaspésie and in murdochville last weekend we had about 100 cm of snow!!! and they forecast an other 30 for next weekend!! but i agree the last few years were pretty shitty

  • i think the sound of a turbo is rather cool..

  • that 1100 sounds like shit... cant believe they even call that a snowmobile

  • the 800 is poaching

  • i cant believe that turbos that loud

  • 1100 has balls!!!! Whats top end on both sleds

  • i want one......

  • Looks like the 1100T is a BEAST.

  • any naturally aspirated engine will loose hp at higher elevation due to the fact that there is less air up there. Both sleds a sick. the turbo looks like it has way more torque tho

  • 1100 is a beast!

  • aiaskanboy99661 love the reply.pro rmk all the way.the horsepower underdog DOMINATES the mountains.

  • @SuperTriumph955i hell yeah! i absolutly love it!

  • Totally awesome! There is no substitute for power!

  • @slyder1212 you could do that and it would keep up but it would also void all of your warranty on that new sled you just dumped another 5 grand into just to keep up or maybe. Just take the sled that keeps up with most mods and is stock.... With warranty

  • A 800 naturally aspirated will lose power at elevation where the turbo keeps its same horse power at elevation a turboed sled will walk all over a stock efi 800 anything in higher elevations and lower elevation

  • @polarisiqrgs it should its 5 grand more i bet i could dump 5 grand into a non turbo and make it close to even

  • Lol 5 thousand dollars more and you get a turbo sled that STILL has a lower power to weight ratio than an 800. And now good 2 strokes are efi so no power loss up high. There just too heavy

  • @ArchieBunker11 The reason you lose power in the mountains is because the motor is starved for air. The limiting factor for a stoichiometric burn is how much air your able to introduce into the cylinder. The fact that it has efi just means you dont have to manually re-jet to account for this.

  • 2 things I don't like about 4 strokes

    -the weight!

    -the sound(yuck..)

  • @572forums

    Its actually a 162hp 2 stroke

  • You can hear that the 800 release the handle a couple times... And the 1100 is at wot.

  • @siikboy the 800 is light and he needed to keep stable goin up there.. And what do you steer with on a sled? throttle and your own weight.. The 1100 is heavier and will keep a straight line better.

  • Arctic Cat PC 1100 turbo = 177hp, 4 stroke.

    Arctic Cat PC 800 = 120hp, 2 stroke.

    i would much rather a 2 stroke cat over a 4 stroke.

  • @572Forums 160 hp 2 stroke

  • 1100 turbo just to much power

  • sick yamaha man

  • the 1100 sounds like an airplane

  • @jtb3797 nah, it sounds like a turbo fourstroke

  • @jtb3797 Well it is a 4 stroke :P

  • pro rmk for the win.

  • @alaskanboy99661 why the fuck are u watching a arctic cat video then

  • @alaskanboy99661 nice your in kenai,ak

  • @alaskanboy99661 noo! ski doo!

  • @WTFdubstepFTW1 i would buy one of these new arctic cats over a ski doo

  • @alaskanboy99661 yeah i respect dat:)

  • -.-

  • Bingo...inherent risks and COMPLICATIONS

  • @the934x4 your point? if it was easy everyone would do it, and there are complications with every turbo system you just have to know what youre getting yourself into and take it as far as you need to get what you want out! for instance in our case we want race gas performance for cheap, propane!! you... on the other hand dont have a spine in your back to take on a challenge... so you bought an 1100T!! or did you??

  • @brandro87 If propane is so much easier and more convenient/safe than gasoline, wouldn't we all be using it????

  • Comment removed

  • @the934x4 people are scared of flammable gasses! and its not safer there are inherient risks complications with it thats why there isnt that many out there

  • @brandro87 As in fuel mileage....see below

  • @the934x4 did you know we run cars and trucks all day everyday on propane? life is not at stake here you build a seat, and when are you sitting mountain riding anyway? i dont sit even trail riding oh yeah your from vermont you wouldnt understand! i lied propane is only 110- same as race gas but $3 instead of $6 same cylinder pressures! but propane weighs 4.11 lbs/gal gas weighs 6.1lbs/gal so 11 gal you save the weight of the tank comes out the same!! no body dynos its a ratio of boost

  • @the934x4 nick has never burnt 12 gallons of propane in a day on 12lbs of boost and i have burnt 11 gallons of 91... sooooo pretty fucking good :)

  • Mhmm, mileage of this motor, bulk of carrying around propane..looks like a pretty comfortable seat...high compression=reliability issues, higher you go, higher stress, better chance of failure...oh, and a propane bottle would make a nice mountain seat lol...who did the dyno run to certifie it @300hp?

  • @8heg D&D made 650HP on the 1100 with a big turbo, TD is making 270 on 91 octane with the stock motor with a reflash, muffler

  • @8heg How? 177hp vs a Ski Doo 1200@130hp

  • When he brapped it it never even attempted to lift the skis or go over 7mph. Yes, please explain how a propane Mtn sled is practical..especially storage of fuel, electrical wires and propane...and your telling me that was you? Mmmkay

  • @the934x4 wow you have the thickest skull i have ever seen.... it was thrown together!! 5 min of tuning!! everything temporary, in a fucking alley!! we wanted to see if it would run!! that's all get over it we did it it works just needed to be turned permanent and tuned properly and no it wasnt me in the vid but i was there that was my garage and my alley, the rider is the one that did the chrome molley tube sled and the owner of the youtube account is the propane turbo rx1 my roomate!

  • @the934x4 well its practical because you get, propane is close to 120 motor octane for 3$/gal... not sure what 110ll is but i think like 7$/gal so you can turn up the boost!! you can buy forklift tanks that are certified so you can get it filled at the gas station, fuel solved, wires? its sealed just like gas, you can eliminate all parts of the efi circuit so less wiring all together, electrical solved. and it wasnt my project, it was joshs ask him if you want details

  • PROTOTYPE!! NOT PERMANENT, GET SOME RUN TIME ON IT, ITS A FUCKING ALLEY YOU CANT HOLD IT OPEN!!!!!!!! point is we know how to convert a two stroke to propane, thank you come again

  • @brandro87 What was so aww inspiring? He was afraid to hold the throttle for more than a few seconds, it was held together by chewing gum and chicken wire, looked impractical as hell and he had a ton of shit done to the motor by the looks of it

  • @the934x4 your not capable of reading a video description... why am i not surprised

  • @brandro87 Pulling HP #s out of your ass eh? Coverting your sled to run on propane would require a whole new set of mods to the engine, you'd have to raise compression to get better performance, adjust your oil injection system, get a whole new fuel delivery system, etc. Keep talking out of your ass friend...

  • @the934x4 "Turbo propane 05 polaris 900 rmk 166 " type this into youtube, watch in awe, then stop talking!! please

  • 315 on pump...You go ahead and run on race gas in the mountains...just don't stray to far..lmao. And on building a sled, it isn't to difficult..I'm building a sled around a cat 440 with my son..basing it off the ProCross chassis.

  • @the934x4 try a tube chassis!! there are problems with having another 1.5 inches on all your widths compared to 16 gauge aluminum :) try a custom turbo kit instead of a bolt on kit too!! then you will have an idea

  • Let's break it down: Your Dragon-200HP/My XF-315HP Your sled-488lbs w/turbo Mine 575. Mine $14k..Yours $13.4k plus your new top end, so prolly $100 or two over me. Me 315 on 91octane, you 200 on race gas...Which is better again?

  • @the934x4 i have no interest in what you look so dont get your hopes up PS 200 on pump 260 on race 300 on propane! thanks for once again not getting your facts right your making this really easy for me the point is i already spent the money on the dragon so it only costs me 3k to upgrade where as if i wanted an POS 1100T with dick enhancing HP, which i dont need, it would cost me 14k which is smarter?? and i wont have those gay ass A-arms that are gonna snap when you hit a pine needle

  • @the934x4 i like how you dont even have a single snowmobiling video up... makes you an incredibly reliable source of information dont it.... to be honest my sled isnt even light enough i want to be sub 400 with turbo and 163 track in fact my buddy is building one right now test rode it yesterday! polaris 800 garret 3071 CMX belt drive mountain tamer rear skid 162x16x2.5 built it for under 8k... think id rather to that, next year i will!!! keep in touch vid up soon!!

  • @the934x4 oh and i forgot the most important part, complete 4130 chromemolly tube chassis! drops 100lbs in chassis weight less flex and more responsive than a pressed aluminum chassis, my roomate did it too with his propane turbo rx1!!! you have jumped into an argument with people that know there shit!! oh and we might be in our senior year of mechanical engineering at Montana State... just saying

  • @brandro87 Whatd'ya want? For me to send you pictures of myself? Queer? And you've yet to prove how your older, way lower HP, slightly lighter sled that you have the same amount of cash invested in as mine, is better than mine...

  • *of 2 4th grade girls, sorry...

  • @brandro87 Anybody with the combined upper body strength of a 4th grade girl can throw around a sled that's only 90lbs heavier than an 800 twin. A little insecure anyway? You call me fat because I'm man enough to handle a "heavy" sled with lots of hp and you can't think of ways to defend your Polaris POS?

  • @the934x4 let me explain to you how things work in real life, if joe blow was strong enough to bench 500 lbs but only weighed 100 lbs that means he still cant roll over a big sled strength has nothing to do with it!! i power lifted all through high school but a bouncer can still throw my ass out the door you know why? cause i dont have much body weight strength is irrelevant i like light weight because i dont have to make big power to be fast and im never tired at the end of the day!!

  • @the934x4 you have yet to disprove a single thing i have said....

  • If you watch how easily the turbo makes it up vs the 800 you can't tell me that it doesn't pay off in lack of major maintenance on the sled down the road because its not working as hard to do the same chore. Not to mention the longevity of the 4 stroke vs the 2 stroke to begin with!

  • Nope, like $1.5k less..about 500 less when you get the price I got Sno checked...and that 800 won't be fine at 9-10k feet, it'd be at 600cc powerlevels.

  • the 800 is probably a lot less then the turbed one and it did the same thing just fine

  • Nope, I subscribe to the notion there will never be a fast enough. Way for your argument to fall on it's face. And I guarantee I would keep up with you in the trees, it's called being in shape. If you don't like weight I saw a Kitty Kat for sale...maybe you should look into it

  • @the934x4 yeah so im a wildland firefighter, IM IN FUCKING SHAPE!!! i run a 10 k before work everyday you are seroiusly the dumbest person i have ever had the pleasure of talking to :) the weight reference brings up another thought how much do you weigh? not only is your sled 100lbs more than mine but i have a feeling you are pushing 250 lbs yourself, since your compensating with all this hp it must be to more your fat ass around so now we are up to 200lbs you from vermont or something

  • my sled has 130hp.....

  • Y do you need 315 hp anyway? are you compensating for something? maybe a little dick in your pants? i think thats it ;)

  • i like to throw a little water in the tank too a nice cheep secondary DET protector :)

  • stock DET sensor, does wonders!! 600HP? for about 5 min.. they can only get 536hp outa an apex and thats on 37 lbs!! you can get 260hp on race gas on mine... go propane and 300hp isnt that unreasonable... yeah four strokes have the torque over two... does it sound like i like this sled? y would i care what year it is? ill never go four stroke so stop trying to convince me! i like the trees you will never beat me in the trees you can throw that boat anchor around!! im a little guy i need light!!

  • So youre pulling 200 sketchy hp, dependant on the quality of the fuel you get, you weigh 100 less pounds and ill be making 115 more RELIABLE Horsepower than you..Ill have a broader torque range, great in the pow, knock protection that dumps boost and pulls timing, I paid $12,500 for my sled sno checked, plus $1,530 for my TD reflash and exhaust combo.

Id say if we raced we'd be close for a couple hundred feet, then Id march away very quickly.

  • Besides, Suzuki has proven over and over to be reliable as Yammi, and the older Polaris twins. Not one of our 4 cats in our group have had ANY problems what so ever.

  • And it's a 2012 M1100T...there was no 1100 mountain sled in 2011...do some research before you open your trap youngin'

  • @brandro87 315 reliable hp vs 200 hp that's sketchy. What are you running for knock protection? Does your ecu dump boost and pull timing when your motor starts to knock? The 1100 motor is capable of over 600 hp with engine mods..your squeezing 200hp out of yours. Power to weight we'll accelerate about the same but I'll have a broader torque range and I'll march away up top. So stfu

  • @brandro87 Listen pal, I've gone the turbo two stroke route. With today's fuel you never know what your getting..so to guarantee you have good fuel you must not go to far from your house of home gas station. My bill was 12,5 Sno checked since I've purchased all my new sleds there since 2002, so I get some extra off.

  • The turbo sounds like a jet haha. I kinda like the two stroke "braaappp" noise personally. Both sleds seem pretty sick. hows the weight comparison feel when you are riding? I assume you guys traded for a little just to see?

  • @the934X4 A 2009 dragon weighs 477 dry and 2011 M1100T weighs 575 dry i dont give a shit what a 900 switchback weighs so im not even gonna look up that stats, why did you even bring that peice of shit up? so your bill was 13500 + the 1200 to convert.. my bill is 10400 + 3000 to turbo your running 315 you say? ill be at 200, my bill less than yours and your stuck with a cat... not worth it plus you need to look into modern turbo systems, guys are pullilng them apart at 2K miles and they are crisp

  • @brandro87

Not to mention if you happen to fill up with bad fuel and you have a meltdown because you dont have knock failsafes.

Oh, and youll only be the cost of a custom wrap ahead of me in cost savings..lol

  • @iBikeSA we are comparing turboed sleds to turboed sleds one just happens to be stock... which we are talking about modding so its a fair argument

  • @brandro87 your right, crank it up to 9lbs and BOOM! Goes your motor

  • @the934x4 its all about your fuel, till you have to start worrying about head studs that is, you can run up to around 14 with stock injectors with no problems!! once again do some research before you open your mouth, please!! care for another round of beating? bring it

  • that turbo sounded crazy!

  • @loganalt10 BTW, judging by your response your like 12...so don't tell me about sleds. I got a 79 Kawasaki Intruder 440 when it was new. Oh, and see below\/

  • Besides they pioneered slide rail rear suspension, rubber tracks, a arm suspension, reverse gear chaincase, EFI and batteryless EFI.

  • That's why they're always first across the finish line, always running and te Firecat was known as one of the nimblest sleds and the benchmark for performance. An 03 F7 can smoke an 03 Rev 800 out of the box, and with a pipe and clutching eats the new ETECs as well

  • @the934x4 you can shove your shitty 4 stroke cat up your ass everybody on the planet knows that cat has the worst sleds in the whole industry and the heaviest so shut the fuck up

  • @Brandro87 look below

  • Oh, plus the cost to get a full aftermarket top end put in..ya shoulda bought an Suzuki 700 twin and been lighter with equivalent stock for stock hp

  • So your saying an 06 Switch 900 is 90lbs more than your 800. I smell bullshit. Second off, every body but an absolute retard knows reliability goes out the window when you turbo a two stroke. Secondly, fro what it cost to get 200 on pump gas, I can get 283 trailable hp, 315 with meth injection. For about $1200. You have no argument here.

  • wow

  • The diff is the guy on the 800 didn't stay on the throttle... the turbo rider did (no waste-gate sounds).

  • Bossrev,Can you feel an appreciable difference between the two? I know some peoples hang up is the weight diff, but can you honestly say one handles better than the other? Or do you need more saddle time?

  • i need one very badly, hopefully this spring

  • i dont think the 1100 is bone stock.....

  • @tundrat3 stock comes with a turbo set to make 170 hp, but if they know what they are doing they can turn it up!! :)

  • @brandro87

    177hp...

And with a TD muffler, Stage 4 reflash, and shaved waste gate they can make 283HP at the motor with no other mods or studding of the

  • @the934x4 cool... im still not buying one

  • @brandro87

If speed scares you, its cool, not for everyone. Buy a Yammi or a Poo

If you enjoy wrenching before every ride, go buy an ETEC.

  • @the934x4 your funny!! speed scares me... see there is a little law called newtons 2nd law and it shows us that when you have a boat anchor, M1100T, you need more power to accelerate it at the same rate as Dragon 800T, so y would i go spend, what they want almost 13K for that piece of shit dont they.... when i can just turbo my dragon??

  • @brandro87 To bad the M1100T weighs about 10 more lbs than a 06 Switchback 900 with waaaay more power and power capability.

Turboed 2 smoke, lol, been there done that on my 04 RMK 800.. ran like a raped ape, but lets just say have fun getting your sled lifted out by a chopper.

Besides, the your dragon has the reputaion of bieng the most unreliable sled since BRP.

Those things had a million reflashes and devoured top ends like candy.

  • @the934x4 did i say i had an 06 switchback 900? no i dont my dragon is 100 lbs lighter than the m1100T and ill have 200 hp on pump gas so you wont stand a chance! and im sorry you couldnt figure out how to turbo an 04 rmk.... yeah the dragon has top end issues but if you get the 2010 mono block spi pistons and a dobeck performance fuel controler there is no more problems!! do some research please before you open your mouth next time thanks

  • @brandro87 butat 10000 feet your sled will be sitting at like 150hp, while the cat will still have 177....

  • @iBikeSA at 10K 4.6 lbs of boost will get me to 150hp, so you throw a little race gas in there and turn it up to 9lbs boom!!! back at 200hp

  • @brandro87 true enough, but your comparing a stock sled to a mod sled, so saying "my mod is better than your stock sled" isnt really an argument

  • @tundrat3 This sled was pulled straight from the crate and all that was added was fuel and oil. As stock as

it gets. Like brandro87 said, these 1100 Turbos are coming from Arctic Cat with factory turbos. What's better then a turbo'd Mtn sled with a full factory warranty :)

  • @Bossrev But the engine size (1100) to power ratio is sloppy but it does have great power just Yamaha has the better technology but are for now getting beat.

  • @Bossrev Yes, but do you think Tundrat3 is stupid. It seems like he and most of his friends ride cat´s so I think he knows about the 1100T, don´t you?

But I belive(spelling?) you when you say the 1100t is stock. But the m8 is "only" 17hp weaker and much lighter the the 1100 so it seems like it would not be that big difference.

But what elevation are you riding at? becouse you´re up high I understand why the M8 didn´t stand a chance.

  • is that 4stroker stock?
