I agree with olives, I don't see at all how they sold out. Have you read Gabel's reviews about being on a major label, they get absolute freedom thanks to Butch Vig, you know the guy who produced Nevermind by Nirvana and Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins. Their folk-punk was great but do you really think someone as politically charged as Gabel would constrain himself to folk punk, it was only a matter of time till he he wanted to try out new genres of music to get his messages across.

Heard the MTV snippet of this song and loved it. So I searched and found it here. I srsly think this live's better than the album version--the faster tempo helps out along with the live'ish sound.
I think what everybody fails to realize is that while punks consider this "poppy", the average mainstream MTV watcher considers this very heavy. I mean at least against me hasn't auto-tuned their stuff to hell like lady gaga, kanye west, and a bunch of other artists in the mainstream.

Heard the MTV snippet of this song and loved it. So I searched and found it here. I srsly think this live's better than the album version--the faster tempo helps out along with the live'ish sound.

I think what everybody fails to realize is that while punks consider this "poppy", the average mainstream MTV watcher considers this very heavy. I mean at least against me hasn't auto-tuned their stuff to hell like lady gaga, kanye west, and a bunch of other artists in the mainstream.

I actually hope I make it clear that their current music DOES mean alot, and it does say volumes about their loss of character and integrity and their loss of vision....I guess "real " fans like yourself are willing to overlook such sublities as long as you beleive their music "means" something, no matter how distasteful and lacking in true substance...a pity , truly.
