Jimmy is special! What 10 yr old kid picks up a guitar and wants to play blues, the real gritty old stuff ala Johnson and Hurt and B.B, et al? Jimmy, that's who. From his earliest age of recording he's shown an amazingly soulful voice as well, high pitch in younger years, but it has transitioned well into his present age of 19. He's now into more rock tinged tunes, stuff he likes such as ZZ Top, and it shows in his songs, but his best guitar work and heartfelt playing is on his blues numbers.
@darkmarzok I know. When I first listen to him it was on the television I was 16 (he was 14) I was O_O ! But I don't see why it's only blues stations though I mean this is way better than OMG!
Search "The Superstitions " blues band and watch Mike Recendez on a tune called "No Minors Allowed" .Hang in for his solo! He's only 23! Good as it gets...
If only God could have preserved his "young" voice - what an amazing talent. This young man is the best there is and I hope he isn't forced to sell out.
Sell out? Preserve his young voice? Music is a life journey and you want to lay that stuff on a a kid who after learning the whole Robert Johnson catalog dived into Mississippi John Hurt? Look, I was there at this show and couldn't get enough of what he was doing. How many people do you know, any age, have had the skill and the wisdom to write "Mississippi John sings sad songs happy tunes."? Jimmy Bowskill ain't a kid ... he's a man among musicians and someone you should enjoy.
Gee man - I didn't mean to offend you or anything. Lighten up, I love the kid. What part of "what an amazing talent" and "best there is" did you not comprehend? Maybe a little less coffee next time?
Nods to the buzzman.. cus he says it like it is.. Jimmy is one of the rarest I have met that KEEPS IT REAL!!!! For someone this age, blows my mind let alone what he will bring to us years from now... I can only imagine... MORE BRILLIANCE!!!!
Great intonation for slide. It`s only a matter of time before Jimmy Bowskill gets recognized for the natural talent he has and the hard work that it takes to reach his level. Never ceases to amaze me.
I love this so much. Man, kid can use a slide...

Excellent call! A truly tight band.
Like I said in my comment, though....don't really care for the sound of a Telly. Others do. That's why they make chocolate and vanilla ice cream. :)
