  • I WANT ONE OF THIS IN SAO PAULO - BRAZIL

    please?

  • Comment removed

  • I'd like to see it with open front wheels like a Prowler.

  • The inside! What does the inside look like?! I've been following the movements on this car & others alike & not one of the photos of ZAP Alias shows what the heck the interior looks like!

  • More competition for Aptera?

The sooner this type of vehicle comes to market the better.

Now if we can only get carbon fuel off the grid!

  • but this car cost only 32.000 dollars?? its impossible surelly there is some defect in this car.

    go the ecology

  • Ditch the fancy wheels, too wide tires, and open wheel wells, smooth the front, cover the rear wheel, too, all for better aerodynamics, then give it a Nu Vinci transmission and reduce the motor voltage & battery requirements. It doesn't need to go 100 mph, 45-55 will do.

  • 55?? ! What country do live in? 80mph is a must

  • OK, sure. 88 mph was as fast as my VW went back in 1972.

  • but most people wont buy a car like that. they want something that compares to current models.

  • 34 cents a share!

  • Wow! some really angry Detroit folks!

At least watch your mouth when you coment, as you sit there shivering in fear of change! Why are you beating up new american industries and american inovation? Remember when made in USA meant somthing? We don't make allot of stuff any more. If it wasn't for all the lives that would be ruined, I'd be happy if those big old dinosaurs in Detroit that are "too big to fail"(and btw, how'd that hapen!)folded. It'd give these little American companies a chance.

  • Im liking the styling, theres no reason all those electric cars have to look like blobs. More people would be interested in them if more of them looked like this.

  • True, it kind of looks like the Bat Car from the front.

  • I'd ride one of these easily, but not for 32k and 100miles on a charge.

  • Approximate MSRP: $32,500

Fuck this. You think it would be cheaper since they are saving huge amount of metal and other structure cost due to its tinysize. But no. Its a rip off. Buy a toyota for $1400 instead which is a family card for 4 people and trunk, ac,cd player and more.

  • .....and how much pollution does the manufacturing of the batteries create?

  • Have you heard of "well to wheel"?

It's the method used for comparing electric cars to petrol cars, But if this thing actually worked, I would presume it would be about 5x less impact on the plannet, and about the same saving on your pocket too.

  • depends on who makes them... A123 knows what they are doing

  • 1-thats only a fiber glass shell. no engine no batteries.

2-they still gotta figure out how theyre gonna handle heating and cooling.

3-why wait on that car when silence electric has a ev version of the t-rex?

4-im in nj so i would have to wear a helmet? gay..

5-i sware zap is so full of shit...wheres the zap-x?!

6-this is a pr stunt to increase investing becuz WIRE exposed them so they whip up an outter shell to shut people up.

    NEVER COMING OUT!

  • ZAP is a fraud

  • see miles xs500 a five seater sedan with 4 wheels it just passed a Chinese crash test mimicking the iihs it got four stars. Its 30k and goes 120 miles on a charge its top speed is 80 mph.

  • 0-60 in 5.7

  • cool car, but the only way I would drive something so small is if there weren't huge vehicles on the road.

  • And i think they misquoted the price in this video; it is going to be about 32k or thereabouts.

  • @pacu123 You know the price is not really high when you take into account the specs of the car:

    0 -- 60 mph : 7.7 seconds

    • Vmax: 100 mph

    • EV range: 100+ miles (160.9 kilometer)

    • Vehicle curb mass: 1612.6 lbs (733 kg)

and the fact that because you dont have to fill gas in it, it practically pays for itself!

  • thats pretty sweet

  • This seems pretty nice but the price is a bit high.

  • not really man... the fuel savings makes it worthwhile..i'm spending 60 a week on gas right now.

  • Seen the Aptera It is way better.

  • I so want this car.

  • Ask your boss at Zap to build it then.....and hurry, the world awaits.

  • November 8th 2009

  • in my country (indonesia) this car only costUS $ 13000

  • Looks good! I hope it'll be at the LA Auto Show in Nov 08 to view. Best of luck, ZAP.
