At 2:17 where is his third arm? I know he had his right arm up in the air but there was still two other arms playing the drums. However, I can see only two arms... where's the third...dammit?
@NonChocco It's a Ludwig drum kit, 6.5''x14'' chrome Supra-Phonic 402 snare drum, 12''x14'' Tom, 16''x18'' Floor tom and 14''x26'' bass drum, he was still using Paiste giant beat cymbals at this point before switching to 2002's in 71.
@ribblenewt Actually, he didn't start using Giant beats until 1970, from what i understand he was using a mix of paiste 602s and zildjian at this time
@fanboy789 according to the biographical "A thunder of drums" book, (which i have !) he never used zildjian..in the book there's a clear list of the gear he used, owned, had but never played, and what he used pre-zeppelin..everything from drums to cymbals from every session and tour, and zildjian was never mentioned...
@welcometothe90s They did not. They released only the show itself from this performance, not these TV shows and footages, but it's available on some bootleg DVD's.
@welcometothe90s I'm nearly sure about that. Do you have the title of this media? If you are talking about the Led Zeppelin DVD that released in 2003, it contains only the show itself (which Bonzo wears a green t-shirt), not these backstage footage. If you're talking about The Song Remains The Same DVD or Blu-ray, it does not have these stuff at all. An Led Zeppelin only got these two official video releases (DVD and TSRTS), other stuff are bootlegs. (Some CD stores sell bootleg DVDs altough)
@jamesbrown69 Nice pick up more than likely he probabley broke it though as he often did, hard to tell with camera angle. smooth transition getting a new stick as his left hand just took over for those few seconds. one of the amazing things that made him such a powerfull drummer!

It's actually an Arbiter 100, he didn't start using his Marshall till late 71. The Marshall was normally used for the theremin solo.
