I was in Roomful in the 80's (I'd be more specific, but this IS the internet), with Ronnie Earl, Porky, Copley, Piccolo etc. This was pre-rehab Ronnie Earl days, but even so he was a really nice guy. Most were (especially Rich Lataille, an amazing blues scholar as well), with two notable exceptions: Piccolo was a total prick, and the guy behind ousting Duke, along with Rossi. Everybody HATED Rossi.
I played with Vachon many times, and he was always cool. He just LOOKS like an asshole.
I knew Bob Enos (trumpet) for 5 or 6 years and they dont get any better than him.. What a great man and his horn speaks for itself.. WOW... Oh and Chris Vachon can FUK right off
Starting in the mid seventies is when I first saw RFB for the first time. If Ive seen them once, then Ive seen them a thousand times.
But ill never forget the first time I witnessed Bubba play with this band at the Wax Museum in DC. He blew me away Bob was the reason I kept going to back to all those shows, what a player.
And your right about Vachon. Ronnie Earl/ Horvath would talk with fans anytime. Vachon is full of himself, unapproachable, and a bit of a wanker.
