  • Who was the newsreel narrator? the minister of propaganda? The Nazi women were hot and cute;SIEG HEIL!! NAZI SOLDIERS WERE ALWAYS THE BEST WARRIORS, NOT LIKE TODAY'S GERMAN SOLDIERS ARE CRAPS AND SICK LION CATS.

  • Joaheim Marselle(misspelled, I know), shot down a lot of Tomahawks over North Africa, so in all likelihood, that's what they were. They were used mostly in a ground attack mode, overloaded with 20mm cannon instead of the .50 cals they were designed for. 4-20mm cannon instead of 4 wingmount .50's and two in the cowling.(earler models, later had 6 wingmount .50's)

  • This idiot tcrlaf post from 2 years ago can't be replied to. Only a complete fool would not understand that the US was Britians ally long before the Russians got involved. Some forget the Soviets invaded Poland at the same time that Hitler did. Why didn't GB & France declare war on them? Democrats have been fighting to keep this country free for a long time. I was in the US army in Vietnam, My brother was at the Battle of the Bulge & my dad lost a leg in WWI, all democrats. Not Communists.

  • at 0:07 it is not the Ark Royal being shown - looks more like HMS Courageous

  • The aircraft at 4:03 does indeed resemble a P-40. Note the exhaust port (or whatever it is) on the bottom of the aircraft. You can see this feature on numerous side-on views of P-40s. The Hurricane has nothing like it.

  • the planes sound like my dads carpentry!!!! LOL

  • Comment removed

  • junge komm bald wieder

  • The poor fella on 4:05, there is no doubt, is a P-40. Thach Weave could have help them a bit.

  • @CJLinton Sorry, but I have to dissagree. Look at this wiki:

    wiki/Curtiss_P-40_Warhawk

The P 40 had wheels that folded back, and there was a bulbe on each forward wing at the base of the strut. Hurricane wheels folded inward and flush. Hurricanes had a large square air intake to cool the oil:

    wiki/Hawker_Hurricane

Also note that the plane on film has vents on the underside of the engine. Hurricanes had flush metal under the engine.

  • They often use Ride of Walkure

  • yeah, our fighters are the best ^^

    i love the stuka sound

  • Last plane downed was a p40

  • right on,, another trophy for Davy Jones locker.!!

  • Stukas flying with sirens whining and " Ride of the Valkyries " as background ... Ausgezeichnet !!!

  • @rjwintl yeah with Wagner spirit revolving in the tomb hearing vulgar nazi using his music for propaganda

  • @vaxiawval Yeah. Though you must agree that the Walkuerenritt makes you want to invade Poland, as Woody Allen said.

  • @vaxiawval erm... you should read up a little on Wagner- especially his anti-semitism. He wasn't Hitler's favourite composer for nothing you know.

  • Beginning about the 18 Nov- (0:38) the Operation Crusader battles broke the 8-month siege of Tobruk, visible in the distance at 1:04, 1:10 (see Google map), and sent Rommel briefly back w of Benghazi ( 0:39).

No Swordfish H is listed among the aircraft of 820 Sqn (code A4, 0:15) in the torpedo attack on Bismarck on 26 May (Google: story torpedoing bismarck).

0:12 looks like 1930s film, with RAF uniforms on RN ships. Is 0:07 HMS Glorious/Courageous, sunk in 1940/1939?

  • isnt the last plane shown a P40?

  • @inar64 Yes. Earlier ones are unclear but the undercarriage fairings, tyres, lower fuselage, retracted tailwheel and big dihedral show 4th (3:50) and 5th are Tomahawks (P40) not Hurricanes. If(?) it’s Nov 41 (0:38) in the Western Desert, the 5 Tomahawk squadrons include 2 RAF, 1 RAAF and 2 SAAF (Richards and Saunders:”R.. A.. F.. 1939-1945”, v2, 1954). Axis and Commonwealth air losses were probably roughly equal in Crusader (Terraine: “Right of the line”,1985/1997).

  • the stuka siren is really good to hear..

  • esto que es, un nazinotticieren?

  • nazi forces. never dies

  • @karateivaneitor To bad you feel that way,but whatever floats your boat I guess ?

  • The planes are Hawker Hurricanes. The narrator says it at 3:04. It cannot be a P-47. The Thunderbolt had its introduction in 1942 and this video is from December 1941.

  • Yes, Hurricanes.

The sloped canopy behind the cockpit, unmistakable. Apparently not..

LOL at the ponce running at 2:00

  • @DieFaust84 NO. Hurricanes have a large central oil cooler. Those planes were American made P-40's. The RAF called them Tomahawks.

  • @woodbinedrinker They are Hurricanes (though your right about the Brits using P-40's - Tomahawks in this theatre). The Mk II Tropicalised Hurricane had engine upgrades to allow it to be used in the desert, as well as being up-gunned and and given a small payload of bombs.

  • @DieFaust84 If you take a closer look they are actually Me-109's that do the low fly-past.

  • @DieFaust84 If you take a closer look they are actually Me-109's that do the low fly-past. The close up of the "Hurricane" at 4:04 is actually a P-40 (you can tell from the undercarriage more than anything else).

  • I have to agree with that aircraft in the gun cam being a P40.

The landing gear fairings, exhausts, lack of fuselage vents, wing flush with the belly - I just can't see that being a P47.

  • ausgoxxerpilot - Compare the image in the video with a picture of a P-47. You will see the plane has the unmistakable silhouette of a

    P-47.

  • I did. It's vaquely similar to the P47 in some aspects but it clearly isn't a P47.

  • ausgixxerpilot - I am talking about the plane at the very end of this video that is being shot at from behind. It has the unmistakable, "Jug", silhouette of a P-47.

  • I'm talking about the one just after 04:00.

I can't see what makes you believe it's a jug. If it's a P47 what are the bulges under each wing where the P40 has the landing gear fairings? You can see the exhausts on the side of the nose? The wings are lower down the fuselage than they are on the P47.

  • its a p40 or p41

  • The siren sound that you hear on the Stuka bomber during the diving it is not a siren system connected to the airplane,I'm tired of hearing this, the noise was produced by the radiator cooling fan when the aircraft was in the diving mode,I have read books on stuka planes and the Stuka pilots that flew them, explained where the noise comes from.

  • i am not saying you are wrong but i read books to and they speak of so called "trumpets of jericho"- air driven sirens (looks like a bulge with a small propeller on it,i have seen pictures) attached to one of the landing gear legs (not visible in this footage), further i would say there is no radiator fan, it is just the chin-radiator,cooled by the airflow thru it while flying.. again, not saying you are wrong sir, just wondering.. what would be the thruth ?? greetings..

  • not many stukas had these bulge, so could it be a sound produced by the airflow thru the radiator itself? "trumpets of jericho" could be just propaganda from the germans.. would like to know more about this? i am allways happy to learn more. greetings

  • @MrLtdodds If you like historical books about ww2 you should read 'STUKA PILOT"BY RUDEL,HEINZ,he was the most famous german stuka pilot in ww2,I'm finishing reading PATTON by Carlo D'ESTE ,very good book it shows a lot of information not covered by the movie patton by the way stuka pilot covers more in depth the Stuka as a support bomber airplane, very interesting book for knowledge of ww2 equipment and history.

  • thank you sir, wil do so. i have a general intrest in ww1 and ww2, reading "d-day" from antony beevor now, good book. i know about rudel, 500+ russian tanks destroyed, and also shot down a few times.. ;o) my grandfathers house was bombeb in the war, with several others in my hometown,by stuka's. seems like they took out houses on crossroads and t-junctions,in an effort to block the roads with the rubble from the houses,on roads where they themselves where not planning to go past. greetings

  • This is wrong. First hand accounts by pilots often have inaccurate mechanical or engineering information.

  • @ausgixxerpilot Hans rudell a stuka pilot describes in his book what the problem, with the sound was,it was originated by the fan of the cooling system that when the stuka was diving the fan made this particular sound, the allies are the ones that created the myth about the siren connected in the airplane.

  • Was Rudel an engineer or mechanic?

Pilots back then rarely had much idea how their aircraft operated.

I regularly read reports where machineguns are referred to as "my cannons" in aircraft that never had cannons. Even Galland's biography has some appalling errors like this.

The siren was deliberately added to the aircraft to make the noise.

  • @marck0938

Sorry, but here you are wrong.

This special siren sound of the Stuka was indeed made by two small sirens with two tiny propellers at the undercarriage.

At each "leg" of the Stuka was such a tiny siren called "Jericho Sirene".

You can see those Jericho Sirenen at every detailed picture of the early Stukas.

What surprises and anoyes me at the same time is, how convinced and detailed you are presenting wrong informations here.

Where have you got your informations from?

  • @marck0938 ... But its a front prop aircraft, the only fan it needs to blow air past the radiator is it's propeller.

  • @ausgixxerpilot Not to jump into an argument needlessly but I really do think that Hans Ulrich Rudel knew more about the JU87 than you ever will

  • Did I say otherwise?

Anybody with any interest in that particular aircraft knows exactly how the siren sound is made.

  • My grandad served aboard this ship he survived the sinking my Great Grandad was the Royal navy fleet boxer he won against everyone

  • me not care either little boy. Maybe next Italian earthquake hit your precous Holy See eh?Nice to see it all as a big pile of rubble. Good chance to start over eh? Maybe fuckheads like you at bottom of pile eh?

  • N-o-t-h-i-n-g I said was untrue. Look at a map dumbfuck. A map of Poland, and of Korea. You write English like a 5-year old. Shall we talk about Italia's conduct towards the Ehtiopians? Or Italian Jews? Shall we talk about the Vatican's part in all the murder?

  • say hi to the pope for me fuckhead. Nothing I said was untrue

  • sorry but poland had terrible troops.... no motorisation, old weapons and not enough troops. they lost ;)

  • Do you guys ever stop and read what you've wrote ?

  • thats what i thought.

  • are you enlisted?

  • good luck with that.

  • dont forget who beat you in two wars and saved your ass in both world wars. considaring we made 70 percent of your guys war materials during the second world war. should of left your ass out to dry

  • And a bearded weirdo successfully attacked the Pentagon in 2001 and eight years later he's still gotten away with it. Your ineffective military is an joke now following 9/11 and Iraq and so your bravado means nothing.

  • Not sure who saved who eventually. Germans were better than the mongoloid Soviets, Americans should have understood that better and shouldve been more flexible in their diplomacy... Europe was destroyed - Central & Eastern Europe was enslaved for 50 years. By the way, General Patton was all out for dumping the "we are Allies" propaganda crap and fight the Soviets all the way back into their frozen holes. Anyways, history is there to be learnt..

  • thats why patton is my favorite american general, anyone who realizes the russians are only good for being dead have my support.

  • ey man You're nazi? tell me truth

  • not really. im just not like everyone else who thinks germany was so evil. stalin and japan killed ten times more innocent people. and you dont hear about that.

  • I'm polish so i know better what stalin did no comment

  • me too

  • u lived in post communist countries? i don't think so

  • Best wishes to Poland. Their troops were some of the best in WWII. Poland at that time was in an impossible situation with two nasty next-door neighbours on either side. When you think about it, Poland and Korea have a lot in common. Enormous, nasty neighbors on both sides of them.

  • What a cuntish thing to say,it would appear your love of t Nazi things has gone beyond the hardware onto the ideology .

  • ur english really need to find a new word. "cunt" is over used. and yes there are many things in the socialistict idealogy if the nazis i agree with. look at it this way. MLK had a dream but took no physical action. Hitler had a dream, but did.

  • It seemed the most appropriate response to your genocidal sentiment,at least have the balls to admit what you are and drop all the "im only in to uniform and weapons" bullshit at have the courage of your sick convictions .

  • hey, i love history. if you dont like what i like. fine. suck a dick and shut the hell up. mind your own damn buisness. and yes i specialize in the uniforms of the SS and the technology of the second world war. and i am also a firm believer of social darwinsism and the concept of sirvivial of the fittest. and should a race fell another is infirior then let them do what they please. personally i have nothing against the jew.s but hitler did and quite frankly i could care less what he did.

  • Hey ive no problem with you loving history but im entitled to counter your genocidal sentiment's if you can't hack responses to your comments then either keep em to yourself or post them on a more Nazi orientated site, your belief in social darwinism seems to run counter your craven interest in a movement that when it tried to put its own twisted take on darwinism to the acid test was completely defeated .

  • well im not a nazi, not even close. the nazi did many things with germany and the countries they occupied i would not have done. and modern nazi sites are a bunch of neo-nazi dumbasses that think they are hard ass' but ther are really a bunch of stupid kids.

  • Dont forget who carried the load until Dec 1941 dumbshit. Dont forget who was actually fighting Hitler while the Americans sat on their asses making up their minds whether to fight him or be his business partner.

  • considering our economy wasn't in the greatest of shapes in 1941 we didn't want to fight as our war industry was none exsistant. england may have been fighting Germany first, but you guys also got your ass' kicked across france. if it wern't for the english channel. and dont forget who produced more than half of you war material throughout the war. 70 percent of all you aircraft, 70 percent of all small arms, and not to mention the hundrads of war ships America gave england.

  • 1. America "gave" no warships to UK. Americans dont "give" ANYTHING to UK, UK was forced to grant leases for Caribeaan bases etc. Ur rite about channel; Hitler was afraid of water 3. Powerful segments of American business didnt want to fight because they admired Hitler's ability to make money. USA could've stopped the whole war before it started (1936, 1937) but only Roosevelt wanted to. Every German the UK killed was 1 less the US had to face. And just who was M. Witmann?

  • have you ever heard about the lend-lease program??? America leased around 100 vessels to the UK, mostly old destroyers and destroyer escorts. and yes. we did admire Hitlers ability to bring a country out of a depression as we were in one. and if you dont know who Michael Wittmann is. you have no business watching these videos. Michael Wittmann is my hero and the most talanted tanker in history. and yes, I know he wasn't the highest scoring ace. but he was in the most diffcult fighting of war

  • I've forgotten more about Lend-Lease then you'll ever know. Blah-Blah-Blah. You hold up for admiration a fucking nazi who would have killed any and all Americans possible for the sake of his insecure, whining little Chancellor. I assume by "most dificult fighting" that Wittmann fought in Russia because any German could have been an "ace" with nothing but Shermans to shoot at. Your'e a Hitler-Lover. If he got off a plane today, you'd be there to greet him.

  • wait a minute. first off i dispise Hitler for being such an incompitant military leader and costing the finest military of the 20th century its one chance to redeme itself. "Nothing but Shermans". On the eastern front>? seriously? the russians had the best armor the Allies had to offer. The T-34/85, IS1, IS2, KV1, Su85, SU100,etc. There were few American/British tanks on the Ost-Front and what ones were were mostly M5 Stuarts and M3 Grants and a few Cromwells and Crusaders.

  • For Gods sake will you listen? OF COURSE Shermans didnt serve on east front. That's why I said I assume you meant he fought in Russia since you characterized it as the most difficult!

  • 1,500+ Shermans fought in the Soviet Army. Read "The Red Army's Sherman Tanks: The World War II Memoirs of (Col.) Dmitriy Loza"

And the Hvy Tank Co's, and the Independent Tank Regiments of the German Army could not be everywhere at once.

The REAL problem for the Germans was that from late 43 onward, every tank that broke in combat was a tank LOST to the retreat, while the Russians could recover thiers.

  • compaired to the 55,000+ t-34s. that is nearly nothing. either way they are all Panzer meat on the plate.

  • And hey genius your'e the one who said, " and dont forget the hundrads of warships America GAVE England!" And your'e an expert on Lend-Lease? You see anything in there that said those ships were GIFTS? TO this day, America may GIVE food, humanitarian aid and every other fucking thing to any one of a dozen 3rd world countries, but it GIVES nothing to England get it!?

  • Secondly, when i said the hardest fighting of the war. This included the brutally hot russian summers during Operation Zitadelle and the horrible winters were it was -40 F every damn day. I would love to see british tankers fight in that. The 13th Heavy Tiger company at Kursk had Eight operational TIgers. Over five days they destroyed over 500 Soviet tanks, with not Tiger a total loss. And at Villers-Bocage, Wittmann ate 27 British tanks for his reakfast that morning. Good job Tommies!

  • And your precious Chancellor brought his country out of depression through coercion, extortion, threats, confiscation, re-armament, murder and any other disgusting method that served his purpose.

  • you probably do know quite a bit about Lend-Lease. Probaby more than me. But I cant see how you can be denying the fact that America kept England in the War. Becasue we realized that if England fell, America woulden't have a forward base of operations in the war.

  • Please examine Hitler's plans for the Western Hemisphere. They did exist. They were not his top priority OBVIOUSLY but they did exist.

  • there are always plans for every place in the world if you are a global player.

its sure that the usa have plans to invade each continent in the world. but they wont do that.

so you should not misunderstood that. it does not mean that he had realistic political ambitions in the western hemisphere.

  • America was VERY divided about joing the European War. It wasn't until the Germans attacked the Soviet Union that the Socialist/Communists in the Democrat icParty and the Roosevelt Administration started screaming that we changed from ANTI-WAR zealots in to pro-war hawks.

  • That and the US had not prepared for such a war. It took them months to ramp up production, so the war could be fought.

  • America didn't want to fight a war before we were ready. You're a fucking asshole, idiot. Are you saying that as democrats my parents were communists? Fuck you, cunt!!! We didn't have the magic knowledge that war is good for the economy in 1939. The U.S. was still trying to recover from the Great Depression. Get your facts straight, idiot.

  • Pick up a HISTORY BOOK-Read-LEARN.

Whether you like it or not, it's a HISTORICAL FACT OF NOTE that the Democratic Party of 1930's was rife with COMMUNISTS, many being DIRECTLY financed by the Soviet Union.

Read about AMTORG, the Soviet's involvement in the labor movements in the 30's, There was even a Democrat Congressman on the Soviet payroll during the late 1930s.

Start with researching the Alger Hiss-Chambers case, then Read The Haunted Wood-Soviet Espionage in America-The Stalin Era

  • " a few communists does not a country make."

REALLY? How many DOES it take?

"why didn't we go to war in June of 1941"

Because Roosevelt had no CAUSE yet, and the Right wanted to stay OUT of Europe.

    Jeez....

PLEASE tell me you aren't a dumb, and as ignorant of history as you sound.

  • ..and ever since then you have remained pro-war hawks...

you've had easy victories, winning your wars mostly from the Air, while loosing hardly any men on the ground..

I dont wanna sound too anti american here.. but war, guns and barfights are part of american culture

and you got some crazy people in power

  • @tcrlaf I think it has rather something to do with Pearl Harbor and the war Japan and Germany declared on the US.

  • We were already In an undeclared shooting War with Germany in Summer 1941.

Roosevelt's "Shoot on Sight" orders on German Submarines became public in Sept. 1941, after the Greer Incident.

  • @tcrlaf Thank you! The voice of reason is rare, today. Bowing to mindless propaganda is somehow perceived as "honorable".

  • @tcrlaf This is total bullshit. The Germans declared war on the US before we declared war on them. Spoken like a true right wing dip shit.

  • You should study history. It can be very enlightening. Start with this:

    FDR's UNDECLARED WAR By Jerome M. O’Connor

Naval History magazine (U.S. Naval Institute) February 2004

  • @diverdown48 Oficial press, yes it was Germany who declared war

Unofficial press: Atlantic Charta + Lend's Act = US declaring war on Germany.

But for some people a piece of paper declaring war is far more important that several war interfering acts

  • @himmelsfaust According to my studies a majority in the US did not want to get involved in another European war after having fought in WWI. Roosevelt who was not a communist but a friend of Churchill. He did everything he could to get help for the Brits. After Pearl Harbor the American public was outraged & wanted revenge against Japan. When Roosevelt made his speach to Congress declaring war on Japan, not one word was said about the Germans. A declaration of war is a powerful piece of paper.

  • @diverdown48 You forget that the main point for Germany to declare war against to the US was the Lend Lease Act and the consequent US support for the Red Army. So you can't just say: Country X declared War, when the other country is already doing war acts - after the Lend Lease USA wasn't neutral anymore. A declaration of War was irrelevant after that point.

But then, some believe that a piece of paper is more relevant than a group of acts.

  • The 4 fighters being attacked were P40's not Hurricanes.

  • good footage. british armor made for good target practice.

  • Nazi propoganda! The Ark Royal was sunk at sea by a U-boat! Stuka's were blown out of the sky by the RAF early in the war.

  • It's not been said, that a Stuka sunk the Ark Royal. By the way, propaganda is propaganda, no matter were it comes from.

  • one of the carriers shown there were either glorious or couraegous , both lost earlier in the war before ark herself was lost in 1941

  • AMAZING< A VIDEOM WITH THE STUKA SIRENS, very rare

    5/5!

  • Brits should not cry, they have a 500 yr. history of causing pain to other continents, suck it up.

  • Is the ship at 0:06 Ark Royal - with two flying decks?? I don't think so.

  • Cool close up gun camera of a P-40 being shotdown at the end of the film!

  • woodbinedrinker - That isn't a P-40 Warhawk, that is a P-47 Thunderbolt, "The Flying Jug". This plane was a flying tank and not easily shot down.

  • I don't think so. The USAF wasn't in the war until December 1941, and the P47B wasn't assigned to combat units until August of 1942. Also the P47 didn't have exhaust fairings of an inline engine. The P47 had a radial engine. Also the P47 undercarriage folded in and flush with the wing. The P40 folded straight back, neccessitating the underwing pods.

  • Regardless of dates, (we don't know where or when the clip of the plane being shot at towards the end of the video came from), that is clearly a P-47 Thunderbolt in the video, with its very distinctive coke bottle shape. At 04:00 to 04:03, this can be seen. It's the Fllying Jug. :)

  • P47's had radial engines! This plane has an inline engine.

  • If you look at a picture of a P-47 and compare it with the image in the video, you will see it is indeed a P-47.

  • Keep in mind, that many of the WWII video's that are thrown together here on YouTube are done so by people who aren't historians and cane be sorely lacking in historical accuracy. In some cases, there is all out lying propaganda being spread, as in this video, with the erroneous claim that the Ark Royal was sunk by stuka dive bombers, when in actuality it was sunk by a submarine. Moral of the story is, any history video you see on YouTube, take with a very large grain of salt. :)

  • The Ark was hunted contiuosly until she was sunk because of her success in crippling the Italian fleet at Taranto indeed the Japansese Italian envoy went to Taranto to assertain the effectiveness of the torpedo plane attack This infomation was relayed back to Yamamoto and used to reinforce he plan to attack Pearl Harbour

  • Wasn't it ILLUSTRIOUS that launched that attack?

  • No That was HMS Illustious

  • biplanes of the raf rolf... there r swordfish? they just suck ever get pwned by a stuka or AA

  • 3 biplanes - Swordfish saved the Island of Malta from the Luftwaffe, just 3 of these called Faith, Hope and Charity fittingly!

  • Except that they were Gloster Gladiators and in fact they only were important earlier in the siege.

  • really? can u tell me more about that? how many planes from the luftwaffe?

  • p-40 = shit

  • Ah, the P-40 was a fucking beast... my greatgrandmother's brother was a Flying Tiger. The P-40 was the plane that kept China from being totally occupied by Japan. The Tigers are well known for their crazy kill ratios and they flew the Warhawk.

  • in africa jg-27 Less than 100 devices it met beatings to hurricanis spit ant p-40. messer bf-109f It was fighting and maneuvering to 500km/h, Impossible for p-40, Slow, not accelerating , bad climbed, bad zom, Only useful as trainer, Since fighter is a shit

  • Those last Allied planes getting shot down were P-40 Warhawks. In the desert, the British and I think South Africans used them as dive bombers.

  • Holy crap! The stuka had a terrifying sound. No wonder people were so afraid of it.

  • They do not make warbirds like they used to. Even if the Stuka was absolete by 1940 without air superiority (the main reason they were retired from the Battle of Britain), it remained the the main ground attack bomber for the Lutwaffe during the war. Actually the A-10 was design combining the ground attack qualities of the Stuka and the P-47. So until recently the historical legacy of 2 of the greatest warplanes in history flew the skies.

  • the stuka was never really obsolete. it killed thousands of soviet tanks up until the end. sure it coulden't really defend itself. but give me a dive-bomber that can compete against later war soviet fighters, there were none.

  • AS fighter aircraft became faster and better armed the Stuka became too slow and too poorly armed to engage the enemy without fighter cover or in conditions of air superiority (the battle od Britain). Its role was reduced rather becoming absolete in direct offensive action, really, I guess.

  • the germans themselves knew the stuka was obsolete this was proven during the battle of britain in 1940. They tried replacing it by designing a FW 190 dive bomber variant as well as Henschels and me 210 as twin engined tank busters.

  • I can already hear those brits yell STUUUKKKAAAAA

  • Is your wife a go'er? Does she like photography? Nudge nudge wink wink say no more!

  • stuka had a special pull up device on it cause sometimes pilots blacked out due to the force of the dive.

  • i thought subs got arch royal

  • A U-boat did sink the Ark Royal, but German propaganda claimed she had been sunk on a number of occasions, by different methods including Stuka attack.

  • Hmm..they finally sunk her, despite thinking they had several times before.

  • whats the nazi thing got to do with this. you prats.

  • You must remember that it was the NAZIS who were bad, that mob of several thousand (not counting SS) who killed Jews etc.

But it was the GERMANS, the rest 80 million, were fighting for same reasons US, Soviet or even Chinese fought. Don't be blind to that fact.

  • *cough* But wasn't the nazi party elected democraticly by a majority of those 80 million "rest" Germans?

My opinion is that there's no "good guys" in a war, 'cause all sides did their part in the slaughter. Soldiers or civilians, they were all humans that died. But the nazis, although they had som beautiful aircraft, were particularly nasty. In the case of Stalins huge murders, they were not commited by a people in the same as the holocaust. It was more of the leaders iniative.

  • The Nazis were democratically elected but never reached more then 43.9% in an open and somewhat democratic election. Also the Germans who voted for Hitler in 1933 certainly did not vote for WW2, the holocaust and the destruction of their nation. They were not smarter than all the western politicians like Chamberlain who thought Hitler would ensure peace in Europe.

  • Jeez, does that mean that electing Bush twice males us even more stupid than them?. Is not like Hitler had to campaign in 1944 for reelection, right. At least here in America we are safe form politicians holding up to power forever by term limits. We could be no better or worse than Castro's Cuba, Putin's Russia, Chavez's Venezuela, Pinochet's Chile, Duvalier's Haiti, or Zomoza's Nicaragua. Oops, we helped them claim power ourselves believing that Democracy and political change was the answer.

  • well said even though we stopped the evils of nazism every country involved was guilty of atrocities in fact whatever Hitler did was only bettered by stalin for example 6 million people killed in the german death camps, 8 million killed during Stalin's purges. for those who think i am talking crap keep watching those stereotypical war films like the Alaistair Mclean rubbish or propoganda films made during ww 2

  • ja, das is gutes Material! Danke

  • stuka<3

  • Nazis can rot in hell... skinheads also!

  • and who else?

  • ve germans ver never as prejudiced as you are.....und remember..americas allies russia..under stalin killed 50 million russian....and millions of easter europeans......and america did nothing to stop them.....so who's the monster?????

  • Russian also killed half million of hebrews and no one is blaming them. Its like this never happened.

  • true true....now..ask this question..why isn't someone demanding that commissar so and so..of former gernaral what his face isn't put on trial for the massacre of millions of poles...the rape of budapest...the enslavement of eastern europe????...you put the blame on germany for the war...but not russia..why?? our uniforms were prettier and the world was jealous???!!!!

  • The problem is that who wins a war has the right to write the history and to modify the facts. This happend for WW I , for WW II and now is happening for Kosovo.

  • and people forget. stalin killed twice as many inocent people than hitler did. germany(unfortunatly) lost and thats why so many things got dumped on germany.

  • id hardly call Americans the monsters. The real monters are those who generalize and say entire nations are evil. Hitler and the Nazis were evil. Not Germany. Hell, some nazis weren't all that bad. They realized over time that Hitler was the enemy.

  • sei veramente troppo stupido

  • Hello there who is the racest here? Excuse me but during the war Muslims and people of other religions served in the SS! Ah yes there were even some English lads too! By the way there is no perfect race and believe it or not we are all part of the human race. So shut the fuck up and enjoy the historical footage! ww2footage, thanks!

  • I don't see any relevance in "saluting the flag".

For the first time americans managed to get over their racist-selves and voted for a president that is not white.

There are mainly 2 reasons for that:

    - they were afraid that McCain would be same as Bush, or even worse

    - Obama represented a radical change and also had a campign

If there was to be another war like WW2 it would be most likely a nuclear war and the price would be much higher.

this is only my opinion, so do not flame

  • It loked like the RNC did everything possible to not get McCain Elected. And saluting your own country's flag is a sign of loyalty and unity.

Obama is nothing but Amatuer hour in the White House and proves Affirmative action does not work. Too bad people voted for him due to his skin color and not his abilities to lead and succeed.

Course the USA was in a lose-lose situation in the last election. IMHO

  • had a campaign and plan, like a communist

  • looks like your another kool-aid drinking lefty. You don't "salute the flag"? Would you salute the UN flag? One of those "why don't we all just hold hands and everything will be better" guys? Go talk to the Muslim Jihadist's and see if they like you because you voted for Obama. What a joke!

  • It's been a year...

Is it "Morning In America!", Yet?

How's all that "Hopey!, Changey!" crap workin' out for ya?

  • What an utter load of shit.

If you have no argument at all, just invoke the Nazis. That's the golden rule of "bullshitting".

In most countries around the world, only uniformed military or ex military personnel have the right to salute the flag. Obama is not a military person. Get over it.

  • Get a life. You probably voted for Bush and McCain and beleive the so called "war" in Iraq is not about Oil and that there are not 100's of millions of our defence budget being stolen. If you have any loyalty to the American soldier pity all those dying for greedy war profiteers,

  • Bardzo dobry film! Wspaniały dżwięk!

  • I love that German man's voice :D
