  • Some people can fuck up a wet dream.

  • guys, heres a similar video and my sister needs views, comments and likes on it for her homework assignment. so can u guys watch it and like it? please!

    /watch?v=yJFydpF_dAA

  • Do I give a fuck? No. Theres no help for that shit hole country.

  • Hell, I can't afford diamonds so basically my opinion will only matter as an opinion...But a diamond is not worth that price

  • Yeah, well, that's capitalism for ya. Now marry me, bitch.

  • That's kinda bogus in the end that the girl just refuses to marry the guy lol, like he was the one who killed the people. He probably didn't know it was happening

  • this commercial is like soo sooo serious.

  • Interesting... because the RUF doesn't exist anymore...

Why Diamonds though is my question? Because it's convenient for people to target? What about all the other scandalous products out there we purchase and fund? Fucking wake up people - this is how the world works.

Odds are you use, wear, or consume something that was paid for in blood or slavery every day. I don't hear you whining about that.

    C'est la vie!

  • @EuroS50 We don't have the luxury of being aware. and a greater part is apathetic... I however am not.

  • @EuroS50 EXCUSE ME?! the only reason this crap happens because of heartless bastards and the ignorance of the consumer. How could anyone live with themselves knowing this happens and shrug it off?!

  • @ras144 Are you not viewing this video and my comments through a computer screen? One that was probably made in China, by a bunch of children or other workers for a couple cents, or dollars if you're lucky?

Maybe it's sitting on a desk made by inmates in a jail somewhere, or again, in china where the workers get various sicknesses and cancer from pressing that particle board together all day.

Quit being so naive and open your eyes to the world. Almost everything is paid for in blood or slavery

  • @EuroS50 Yeah, but I don't shrug it off like you do. I'm not going "Huh, that's life!".

Im going, "Oh my goodness, that's awful!" Like I said, the only reason this stuff happens because consumers dont know where the stuff is coming from. The world isnt as heartless as you're implying. Now inmates? I dont care about because they probably reaped what they sow. It's innocent people I'm worried about, not criminals. FYI, I'm not naive, it's not cheap labor I'm worried about it innocents' suffering.

  • @ras144 So basically, you're just going to run your mouth like everyone else and say how awful it is - but do nothing about it. Proving your worthlessness.

That's cool - hey at least you're honest and up front about it.

  • @EuroS50 Well, for one smartass, I can barely do anything as a minor, because if I had money of my own I would be giving money to Africa. Two, not buying these diamonds and having people aware of them is doing something. So just proved you wrong, butt face. There are some people that actually do stuff in this world to help others.

  • @EuroS50

    Only because,

    1. I dont have money

    2. What is a 15 year old suppose to do if you're damn smart?

    3. Telling people about is useful and only thing I can do at this point.

Keep looking through Jade glass. While I actually put some effort into helping this world the best I can.

  • @ras144 Listen kid - then don't come into a conversation about the world when you're 15 and act like you know everything. Again, you're a naive kid with no real world life experiences and view the world with your childish eyes.

You're not going to change anything by running your mouth - opinions are like assholes, everyone has one, and you're no exception. Don't do your generation a disservice by running your mouth about a subject on which you have no experience.. In this case, the world.

  • That was funny! I like the "family guy" one better, but this was pretty damned funny!

  • there are some ignorant IGNORANT- ass people in this thread! what could i expect though, this is youtube!

  • Not sure if it was by error or by intention but the RUF symbolized in this vid has an M16 while the vast majority of weapons in Africa are Russian/Soviet and European.

  • It was probably just an oversight made by a naive do-gooder who has never touched or heald a weapon before. But you are indeed correct, we (the United States) the M16 as do Israel, and I assume the UK. The AK-47 is standard in communist and "former" communist, and it is also a hit with terrorists and revolutionary movements because it was designed for cheap mas production. Soviet tanks and MIG jets were too.

  • Definitely should have been an AK47 in this video. Canada uses the C7 service rifle. Similar to the M16 but with a few tweaks (no more iron sights to name one). I thought most of NATO uses the C7? Great rifle btw.

  • very very true nice work =)

  • knowing this makes having a diamond even more worth it

that's how the human mind works

  • -.-

  • -.-

  • great vid

  • when i get engaged i'm gonna get a man-made diamond. cheaper, fewer flaws, and non-conflict.

  • Interesting remix

  • Oh, yeah, this makes perfect sense. Refuse to accept a diamond ring, which is the official way to propose marriage. Because I am absoutly positive that every single diamond ever made came from the hands of a baby who had its head chopped off. What a better way to protest violence in other countries than not get married, which I am sure none of you ever will.

  • @KenobiMan420

I agree with you, but the thing is to make sure the diamond comes from a conflict free zone or buy from a company that makes sures to use legitimate diamonds like Zales and Tiffany's or a company that follows the "Kimberly Process"

  • Funny that people still buy diamonds in the 20th Century, I mean for rich people it's to show off their welfare, that I can understand, but to buy a diamond that's worth $5000,- to show someone you 'love' them? That's just the most stupidest thing I've ever heard.

I'm all for this campaign, but I'm in it for the wrong reasons, does that make me a bad person ;)

Love is priceless. Let's keep it that way.

  • So if someone proposed to you, and gave you the biggest diamond possible, we're supposed to believe that you wouldn't accept it? I don't believe you for a single second.

  • That's not what I said, I mean to say that it's a ridiculous idea that you have to buy a diamond to show that you love someone.

  • i got my wife the biggest diamond i could afford. and asked it to b from africa! if they wanna kill themselves for my 11G's i say money well spent!

  • She's got herself a real winner- someone who will go out of his way to tell the world "I'm a soulless, thoughtless prick! Look at me!"

Please, do the world a favor. Don't breed.

  • Wow. And, of course, you know what is best for the world better than the rest of the world. My apolagies if I am going to live MY life the way I want to.

  • Diamonds are not rare they are abundant in Russia, Canada and South Africa. Their market is artificially controlled by the jewish mafia DeBeers who make you think they are precious when in fact they are worthless. It is a pretty good scam. Now go on and spent 3 months worth of your salary on a useless rock so that your fiance can parade around and show her girlfriends.

  • Yep , America is at fault ,

'When In Doubt , Blame The States' <--- U.N. logo Who traffics most heavily in diamonds?

    Its NOT the RUF

I wouldnt touch those diamonds anyway

  • I don't see how this can all be blamed on America. Blame it on Sierra Leon.

  • ZALES DIAMOND forever ??? HAHAHAHH WHO SAID THAT? POOR QUALITY YES

  • justice for the sierra Leon people!!!!!

stop the sale of blood diamonds!!

  • umm...lol?

  • Stop bloody diamonds business!

great video, nothing else to say.

  • Diamonds can be man-made now from subjecting carbon to extremely high heat and temperature. Why do people still insist on mined diamonds? Because of sentimental feelings of the manufactured ones being "fake". They are not "fake", the only difference is that no one was killed or enslaved.

  • You obviously don't understand the amount of energy and pressure (time) needed to make a man-made diamond. No one would be able to afford them. Its more sensible to mine them, and yes blood diamonds are a problem, but not all diamonds are blood diamonds.

  • You obviously don't understand that the process has become so much easier and cheaper in recent years that they can now be purchased for a fraction of what a mined diamond will cost. The mined diamond industry now inscribes their gems with serial numbers so they can tell them apart.

  • dimonds are use for more the wearing them. dimonds are inportant part of production of america and it impacts teh car trade in amreica dont stop importing cheap dimonds keep them comming. its not our fault that they dont treat there people as equals

  • More regulations on diamond trade - to purchase only certified diamonds - would only inflate its demand and reinforce the monopoly of De Beers and its likes.

To purchase conflict-free diamonds or not, that is not the question. It is actually to re-think if we need diamonds at all to feel happy about ourselves or express our love toward others?

  • exactly if GREAT america did not take away the dimonds from poor africa most of africa wouldnt be so poor anymore would they?

  • Africa isn't poor buddy, they're rich and cheaper than a rich man not wanting to pay taxes.

  • africa is the poorest continent on earth there may be some wealthy parts but mostly they are poor.

  • But the wealthy parts fit into the description I said earlier.

  • What are you talking about? American taking away their diamonds? De Beers and the other companies that own all these African mines are not American companies. If these company didn't restrict the supply of diamonds then they wouldn't be so valuable and shit like this wouldn't be happening, why do you think diamonds are the only rare gem that has this problem? Why is it that people twist all of the worlds problems into being the responsibility of America? It's AFRICAS problem, its EUROPES problem

  • Good video. People in this country mouth off SO much about terrorism and not wanting to fund terror groups until it gets in the way of their bling or their comfy lives, then they'll put up with anything. Such hypocrisy.

  • See. Diamonds are evil. Spread the word. Maybe it'll save me from spending so freaking much on an engagement ring. Cause and effect....Diamonds=Money=Bad.

  • It's not worth having if no one died over it. :)

  • evillittletree: really? I wasn't aware of that. I guess it just sounds off, or ther ecording does anyway. I am familiar with the music: "Palladio" with Karl Jenkins.

  • ooou it is so sad ;-( if someone will give me a diamond i will really refuse it.

but its a pity that a slave has already cuted his hand....

  • This video reminds me of islam XD. How funny islam is, a fucking joke........

  • What have islam to do with this ?

  • Islam -> jihad -> terrorist

  • ..so mohamed said to practice terrorism? so in your opinion, jesus said to pracitce Crusade?

    mfg

  • Watched this video in geography today. this video has such a good meaning and makes its point

  • Can't help a country that doesn't want to help itself. Can't help a RACE that doesn't want to help itself.

  • HELL YEA the more people they whip there the cheaper diamonds r here WOOOOOOOOO if id idnt care that they were starving why would i care when they were killing each other n now this why the hell would i care if they enslave each other? Africa ='s lost continent is there really a reason to have it around other than the diamonds?

  • right on man

  • wow from like wiping children and other africans to going on your girlfriends finger such a long process but who cares usually ends in ridiculously good sex

  • It's really interesting... Practically all the problems in Africa are caused by Occidental Countries, and of course, you don't care. Are diamonds really such a necessity?

  • actually i dnt care its far too screwed up to care anymore

  • No, they are not a necessity. When I bought my fiancee her engagement ring years ago, I didn't even know about any of this stuff. After being married for several years, we discussed that we will no longer purchase diamonds.

  • It's amazing how people who make these things, tend to overlook the fact that conflict Diamonds ARE illegal on the Open Market.

  • It's amazing to see how someone gave you a thumbs down for making a true statement.

  • Yeah...weird how that happens sometimes.

  • @Paytience3721 Through the Kimberly Process conflict diamonds have become indeed become illegal. However, the legislation on conflict diamonds are as the video states "ineffective"-- that happens when legislation has no teeth (that can happen through loopholes or lack of sanctions).

  • @Paytience3721 Certainly there is NO WAY for conflict diamonds to make it into normal consumer hands!

  • good point

  • ?? so far... only two people died for your diamond while trying to steal it

  • haha actually, no one died. Just lost an arm

  • Diamonds rock.

  • Who cares.

  • M.I.A

  • ok so is this a history lesson?

    lol

    nice little spoof though

  • isn't it funny how rappers in the U.S. show off their diamonds and they don't even know that maybe one of their relatives died in africa to get that diamond?

  • shit is real, look back in history and see how diamond was discover and wat they do 2 ppl in africa

    Have u seen blood diamond

    Not funny, it's real

  • What's the point of having diamonds? They're Shiny? They're Transparent? They're Expensive?

They come from the terroism of SIerra Leone?

  • the movie bloo diamond explias thta

  • I love the song, Violins Etc., But I can't seem to find it any were, I heard a remix Of it on 101.1 Energy - The beat of Arizona.

If any ones Knows, Please reply.

  • It's a piece called "Palladio" written by Karl Jenkins for DeBeers. You can buy it on iTunes.

  • It's a good point, but I somehow get the impression you're basing all your facts on the movie Blood Diamond. FYI, watching movies is not the same as doing research for a political cause. Something tells me this video wouldn't even have been made if it weren't for the movie.

  • though it was only POSTED a year ago, this particular video has been around for 6 or 7 years, long before blood diomond.

  • My friend and I were thinking the same thing! Finally someone understands us.

  • you're a pig

  • I was being sarcastic. That was obviously not a serious comment.

  • Actullay, there are some people who are sick and say that as a joke or even mean it, i love sarcasm, but when you're just typing it, people cant really tell, so its best to put sarcasm in parentheses after the comment

  • I saw it but just in case make sure you end sarcastic comments with '/sarcasm', remember this is the internet.

  • Well said

  • Where is the original commercial?

  • The RUF were smashed in 2002. Get your facts right.

  • amazing

  • So true. But the music is WAY off.

  • the music is from the original commercial of which this video is a parody.

  • Brilliant
