This is the clumsiest, most ill conceived piece of legislation we've seen in a very long time. Almost all of our historic buildings downtown are well over 40 feet. How will they be rebuilt if an earthquake or a fire takes them down? What about Cottage Hospital? And what are the "skyscrapers" being talked about? I admit that the one "tall building" people don't like (Chapala One) may be out of character, but chopping it down a bit wouldn't fix the problem.
