  • its good but not accurate an accurate one makes us (am only 24) cry thinking bout what it represented to a good few million people in a lotta europe... the last damn thing they knew what the hell it was before shredding into small bits by a fuck load of bombs

    took a lot of volts.

    grate video man.

    peace

  • Very nice sound :))))

  • dear riggerparish

were there size variations of these gents carter's, were there extra large ones in london, did numerous ones go off at the same time.

also i've noticed these four fan ones produce a distinctive bi-tonal wail exactly like in those archive films, whereas the grey ones do not.

    sorry for so many questions

  • There were differnt "Versions" Of the Carter, But most were Knock-offs of copies of it, and by "bi-tonal" Do you mean Dual tone or like a hi-Low?

  • These things amaze me. :)

  • when was this made its in good condition we used to have one but it probloms (a lot)

  • me to if you where my next door neighber i would be pooing my pants

  • awesome, i want one .. imagine driving around town with one going in the boot of your car .. if you could get 3phase of course ..

  • look at everything flying around the room lol

  • What's the Port Ratio?

  • 10/12/15 port

  • Love the sound

  • Look at all the shit flyin around it lol

  • Is that a phase converter running in the background?? ...nice video

  • No, we had direct 3-phase power that day.

  • five stars!! I love the wind up and wind down!! best siren video!!

  • Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

  • bloody hell

  • Sirens... Neighbors love em!

  • Pure power!

Can't beat the whine of a Siren!

  • Your neighbours must absolutely love you.

    hehe.

  • Lovely, funny it's blowin all the stuff around LOL

  • awsome siren!

  • thet sound!!! i love thet sound! makes me relaxed.

  • WOW BLOODY HELL that on LOW voltage

  • Gents' WWII Air Raid Siren (Low voltage to full) 1

  • Im not sure why but the siren sound is just so beautiful to me,especially when it reaches a high point then slowly comes down.

  • Fascinating sound.

How many ports in each of the four the stators?

    Thank you.

  • theres sirens are common all over newzealand thay are used at fire stations

  • they still are made

  • they are? huw much in us$?

  • beautiful sound

  • wow that things got some wind output!! look at all the fluttering debree

  • Unlike an air horn, which is a high pressure, low flow rate device, a motor driven siren is a low pressure, high flow rate device. This explains all the wind. In spite of the high flow rate, sirens are among the most efficient of all sound signals, as their low pressure requirement makes up for it.

  • I should try and stick this into the quad block I live in, I think I may make myself slightly unpopular.

  • (i know its impractical) but wouldnt you just fucking love to hide one of those in your locker at school and revv it up, hahahahahahaha!!!

  • Superb. Out of curiosity, how and where do you go about getting one of these bad boys and whats the cost. They must be illegal to use outside surely.

  • Nice !! I love that sound!

  • Me, too.

  • It's a nice sound. But I am sure they freaked out the elders in the area ;-)

  • Haha. Probably. :-)

  • Awesome! That would be awesome to use on New Years night.

  • Sweet!

  • Absolutely awesome.

Yo, Riggerparish - could You get a DB-meter to measure the output on this green monster?

  • Cool! This is sooo cool!

  • This one has the most awesome sound i've heard so far (on youtube, hehe).

  • is is a small one. in southgate in london ontop of the old police station on the roof there was one the same size as a anti aircraft lorry, that served as the district air raid sirent, obviously there was more than one though incase one got bombed

  • what would happen if you ran this inside yer car? broken windows?

  • No idea what to say to that, Mary... hahaha. I really dont think it would smash car windows or any window. It is not at the right frequency to bother any kind of glass.

  • Cool. I like all the crap getting blown around when it gets up to full speed. Those things really move a lot of air.

  • funkidelic

  • Sounds like they ran the thing on an inverter so they could digitally control the output.

  • NICE!!!

  • I have no idea!

  • Whats that sound that sounds like a power generator?

  • it's a power generator

  • Yeah, mate. It Wasn't ideal having it in there, but I wasn't complaining at the time either.

  • it caused a draft in there ast full speed

  • Very nice job :-)
