  • best buy says it supports 1080p 1080i is this true??

  • @acrock21 It can accept a 1080 signal, but it only displays in 720p, so it's not actually 1080p.

  • @t3hmauler oh .. i see well how big of a difference is that? i dont have anything for 720 or 1080 yet

  • @acrock21 I would say if you had 720 and 1080p side by side, you could definatly tell a noticable difference in the quality. However, it varies on how far you sit back from the screen as well, and the size of the screen. 720p looks fantastic on its own, so it just depends on how much you are willing to spend, and how picky you are.

Everyone who sees my projector is amazed by the quality of it, and probably wouldn't be able to tell it's 720p just by looking at it.

  • @t3hmauler so you would recommend me to buy it?

  • @acrock21 Yes, I really don't think you are going to be able to find a better deal on the market right now.

If you don't mind spending a little bit more money($400-ish), you might want to step up to the HD20, which is a REAL 1080p projector. I don't know a lot about the HD20, but depending on your budget, it might be worth the extra money.

If you don't want to spend the extra money, I highly doubt you will be anything but fully satisfied with an HD65.

  • @acrock21 It can accept a 1080 signal, but it only displays in 720p, so it's not actually 1080p.

  • @acrock21 the more important thing is that its native res is 720p, whereas min is wxga or something like that :( need to purchase the hd67

  • @khantko you might want to check out the hd66 its a newer version of the hd65

  • @khantko I sit about 10 or 11' away from mine, so that should be really good for you. You could sit even closer to it, but then you might not be able to view the entire screen comfortably, so 12' should be a perfect distance for you.

  • @khantko I haven't noticed any problems with mine. The only thing you might experience is the "Screen Door" effect if you sit really close to the screen, but that's really it.

  • Hello, I am thinking of making the jump to projector, this projector in particular! How big an image would I be able to get with the projector about 3 meters from the wall?

    thanks

  • @theinvertedhourglass I'd think around 85-100 inches diagonal.

  • Hi Can i ask what pic size am i gonna get with projector 2 meters away from viewing screen ?

  • how loud its the projector fan ??

  • It can be fairly loud, but if you have even a decent surround sound or stereo system it shouldn't be a problem at all.

  • How do you get audio because the projector has no speaker?

  • I have a separate surround sound system for my ps3 and xbox 360.

  • whats the distance between your projector and the wall?

  • About 11-11.5 ft.

  • My car can so PWN your car in a race IRL =P

  • You must have a fast car lol.

  • Sweet. I just bought one too i love this damn projector. I'm going to be posting videos of it soon. How big did you manage to get it? I have mines at about 100 inches diagonally. Keep posting man. Hopefully you'll post a vid with Gears 2

  • I have it at almost exactly100 inches as well. I just moved it to a different wall, and before I had it at 80 inches and it looks SO much better now. =)
