Check the date. This video was made in 2006. I wasn't very good back then, and hadn't mastered Hammer-ons and Pull-offs (and yes, the GH1 engine made for a pretty difficult time using either).

I'm still not even close to the best player out there, but it's never really been about my skill. I just like being a goof.

If someone wants to play a game with a plastic guitar, let them, who gives a fuck if they can play the real thing or not. Hm. Well, the trouble with that is I've played piano since the age of 4. I know how long it takes to excel at a real instrument, and I don't have the time to learn guitar. Meanwhile, I can play Guitar Hero for a half hour a few times a week, and enjoy the hell out of it.

I actually play guitar, and have done so for a number of years now, and I absolutely love this game. It's a really fun game that isn't actually supposed to be like playing real guitar and, even though a lot of actual guitar players won't admit to this, some of the songs are harder to play on expert than they are in real life. So why don't we all just chill out, have a good laugh, and enjoy the show.
