Music has to be played. It just keeps on moving and growing. You keep the songs alive. Live music is the best. It's wonderful to listen to history on old records but you make Buddy Holly's recipe into a living, real music experience once again.
Don't listen to the trolls. We all know there was only one Buddy Holly, but you did a great rendition of Doesn't Matter Anymore. Definitely a thumbs up from me!
@Orangetree547 Thank you, Orangetree. Yes I don't expect to be Buddy Holly reincarnated, but I also know I'm not "dreadful". Also, this was only my 2nd show and I've gotten much better in the 3½ years since. I can take criticism (that's why I post all comments unless there are obscene words) but tell me what needs improving! Otherwise, it's just a bunch of hot air. :)
Hi i had all buddy hollys records but this is the only one i havent got and i love this one and you sang it fast but it was Great i play electric guitar to love Shirlsxx
it always brings a tear to my eye when i hear this song. if only modern music was as breath taking as this. what went wrong in the world of music post 1980??? many thanks. Paul x
Absolutely amazing cover version of this classic. My hat's off to you (though I don't wear hats). Unbelievable, dead-on impression of Holly. You have real talent and should be doing your own thing.
Thanks so much for the kind words, fazbell! I am currently working on an album of original material, some of which I will present on here when it's ready.
Thank you very much for the nice comments, samooray! I suppose the song IS a bit depressing - because it was recorded at his last studio recording session. It is a touching song for sure.
This song was written by Paul Anka and he gave it to Buddy who was so excited that he immediately rushed over to the Pythian Temple Studio in New York and insisted they record the song immediately.
Very nice, I'm only 18 years old but I appreciate a piece of good music from the 'oldies'.

Actually, it was recorded a few months before his death, but was indeed released not too long before he died (less than a month).
Thanks!
