Nice to see even the Japanese make mistakes sometimes and get the wrong version of a move coming out (in this case, super instead of ultra). The difference is, I let it affect me and I lose the match!
using up a whole super gauge just for some chip damage would be a waste unless the chip guarantees a win. an ultra in that situation is a great trap tough so he definitely made a mistake when he used that super
I disagree.. I also think he used the Super to deal some guarantee chip damage. It's pretty hard to mess up Ultra and Super c'mon... and not to mention these guys are profs...plus when he used the Super it is early in the round and he can gain it back. Also Sim doesn't have much use for its meters except for EX Yoga Fire.
sim's super is his greatest damage output after teleports or ultra on hit. it's also a great anti air. even if the super wasn't used much, it would be much better to throw 4 EX yoga fires than use a whole meter for just chip.
they are pros, but they're also human. even the best can make mistakes.
i disagree also. Have you seen iyo play before? he gets his super up easily, im sure he didnt mind using it up for chip damage taking the chance that balrog was going to try to headbutt throught it and get pwned.
balrgo did the right thing by staying down and blocking on wakeup, but he still took chip damage. a lesser balrog might have quickly stood up or tried to uppercut.
The main reason why I dont think it was for cheap damage is because he used it way before it should have been. He used the Super while Rog was still down, usually you do that with the Ultra.

He used the Super because it has more chip damage, and he's saving the ultra for the noogie trap.
