I really like her voice! But, and this is JUST MY OWN OPINION, but I think she sounds like a mix of Rin's and Gumi's voices in this song. But that's a really good thing, because all three voices are awesome!!! And anyway, it's only in this very EPIC song (LOVE the song!) that she sounds like that. I think it's the robotic joints combined with the outfit that give people the otherworldly impression, rather than the flat chest. Besides, just because somebody thinks that Miki's from another planet doesn't mean that they hate her; it's just how they interpret the character.

Her name was based off of Miki Furukawa's name, the person who gave her her voice. And the clothes means she isn't from where we are. Her clothing,robotic-ish voice and patterns on her arms and legs hint she is from a different plant.
