K guys seriously. Take any band. If you take the trumpets out, the band sounds plain and boring. Put the trumpets in, and it sounds powerful and strong. Sure, every instrument has a part in the band, but usually the trumpets have the most important parts.

To comment on this video - I was rather surprised at the lack of intonation by the trumpets. Make sure that you guys are tuning AND listening around to make sure that your intonation flows and matches with the rest of the band. One of the hardest things to do - but one of the greatest things a musician can do.

Umm wrong much? Trumpets are the INSTRUMENT of the gods! Trumpets are the superior instrument of concert, marching and jazz band! If your not a trumpeter, than your just jealous ;)

@BurstTheBean Err, don't get your words mixed up now. Tuba requires a lot of air and possibly a lot of stamina, but trumpets can have a range of up to 5 octaves, whereas I've never heard of a Tuba that has the range of over 3 octaves :)

Yeah, too high. There needed to be a lower part to balance it out. In fact, when my band plays it, about two thirds of our trumpets play the low part so the higher parts stand out. And I think they're a bit out of tune, but even the weather could have caused that...
