One of my favorite train songs.... but please, credit the incomparable Steve Goodman for writing it. Arlo Guthrie tells a GREAT story about how Steve conned a bar owner to convince Arlo to listen to the song after a gig. Arlo agreed as long as Steve bought him a beer. He would listen as long as the beer lasted. He later said it was one the better beers he had in his life. Steve Goodman, rest his soul.

You should serious check out Steve Goodman's body of work. He was a song writer's song writer, an impeccable guitar player, and a fabulous live entertainer who's energy and humor could dis-arm Attila the Hun
