Sorry to ask this on such an old video ,but um has anyone had a problem with an appcrash when you run the game? Mine crashes with that error, then my taskbar becomes unresponsive :/

@sneaker177 lol today I installed the game on my windows 7 after playing it in playstation some years before.. It happened the same to me, the game wouldn't run, crashed me with an error (program stopped working, trying to resolve - or something like that) and the whole system stopped to answer.. I had to reboot system

This is not a horrible game isn't great either. I have played better but played worse also. Basically don't go in with the mindset expecting this game to be grand. I am able to look past some of the graphical issues with this game. I had some fun with this game. It cheap now also if your looking for a new game to kill sometime. I am not surprised that the voice acting is bad. Sometimes games like this the acting is plain bad. Who talks like that lol. Reminds me of Resident Evil PS one Port.

I thought the voices sounded fine - especially Eike's. I would hate if they changed them.

I wish you would've been able to keep that costume on Eike. The mask looks really cool.

they did change the voices for the PSP release, I can safely say these originals are much better, especially Homunculus

Man... just imagine mixing together Shadow of Memories and Silent Hill.

One can come up with all sorts of weird scenarios / happenings.

Eike in SH2 would be so random, what would he do when confronted with Pyramid Head?!?

Or what if Wagner calls up PH or even Alessa or Samael or whatever, and turns Lebensbaum totally evil and twisted?

James travels back in time to prevent the death of his wife... maybe finds a cure for her in the past.

I actually enjoy the original voices, if they changed the feeling wouldn't be the same...its like rewatching Its a Wonderful Life with someones elses voice over James Stewart. Its ridiculous !

Anyway, the main problem with this game is the voice acting. It's awkward as hell.... !

A remake -- with proper voice acting (to the same quality of the MGS series) -- would be awesome.

Eh... I dislike the lack of gameplay, and the horrible sound effects, but this game has a great sense of nostalgia to it, so there's no room for me to complain. I used to watch my roommate play this game all the time when I was about ten.

Excellent game, however I dislike the voice acting, as the game is set in Germany and there no German tone voice actors. One of the guys back in the 1500s sounds like a country man who's living in the states.

I would. The ps2/xbox versions are probably better since they have nicer effects and the sound doesnt unsync in cutscenes. PC version has higher resolutions but overall the console versions win out.

i dont think the graphics were bad, i think it was great, i would even go as far to say it was fantastic, though when i first saw the game i thought that Eike was a girl, but as i proceeded everything looked better and better. and not to mention the story, that is absolutley fantastic. there is so much to discover in the game.

The game's maximum resolution is 800 by 600 and as for the blurring effect....I can't seem turn it on as well. The documentation says the recommended card is GeForce 2 GTS. I tried that card but it still wouldn't turn on.

Eike is always so laid back and casual when the homuculous (or however you spell it) ask him if he wants to live again. If something like that happened to me and some disembodied voice was asking me i'd be freaking out.

I love this game to bits! I've never felt more intrigued by a game or movie like this. I bought it a few years ago for XBOX and I was obsessed with every detail, and to this day I still find really cool details and tips in the dialogue. Just when you think you get the *whole* story (which is REALLY not simple and requires at least TEN playthroughs imo) some sentence may cause you thinking, "wait a second"! :)

There are hacks to allow higher resolutions on the PC version (and even widescreen modes), although that wont help in recording obviously.

I hope you plan on releasing avis or something of higher quality. :-)
