Pathetic sports writers didnt vote for Ron Santo, have them pay and goto the games and cheer for their team, oh they wont but the fans do and have no say so in this vote. Useless Cooperstown building.
@sliderchase748 im there every day. my unkle works there. the place is so amazing. my uncle is the exibit technitian. so basically he sets up every thing u see. ive been able to hold babe ruth, lou gherig, derek jeter,a-rod jerseys. ik u dont believe me but i have the pics to proove it
Should be in, IMO: Dwight Evans (Better player than Rice, yet, he never really got any serious consideration) Ron Santo Trammell Whitaker Bobby Grich (had a lot of power for a 2B, posted a good OBP, played GG defense) Ken Boyer Jimmy Wynn Blyleven Darrell Evans (very underrated player; played great defense, but unfortunately for him, he played in the same league as Schmidt; also spent his career in parks that were far from being friendly to hitters) Tim Raines Vern Stephens
I agree with you guys on Gossage. I also think Santo should be in. And especially Alan Trammel and Lou Whitaker. They had more double plays than any other duo in MLB history. Trammel was World Series MVP in 1984 and Whitaker was AL rookie of the year in 77 or 78. They both have numbers comparable or better than other second basemen and shortstops that are in ther hall.
@aronrox1 i normally go there once a every 2 months cuz my uncle works there. he sets up the exibits. i know u wont believe me about this but i got to hold babe ruths world series jersey. i had to wear white gloves tho. if u dont believe me il send u a picture. when they get rid of old stuff my uncle gets to keep some of it. hes a big boston fan so he has kurt schillings bloody sock from the world series in a case on his living room wall lol

Its unfortunate the reporters may try to keep the greats of my era like Bonds, McGwire, Clemens out due to whatever they may have used. I never saw Babe Ruth play so I don't have the respect for him that I have for the men I've seen play in my era. It's sad to see whats become of this
Barry Bonds WAS great...even before steroids. But guys like him helped make the era a black mark in baseball history. Maybe he and McGwire can have a seperate wing for the way they cheated. Add Sosa, Palmiero, Clemens. Call it the Hall of Infamy.
cant velieve they let in gossage....now smith, nen, wetteland, rivera, hoffman get to go....its all business....without a very exciting ballot this year and no eral hof'ers, they inducted someone simply to have a ceremony, bring people to town, and generate millions of dollars for city of cooperstown...bullshit
he is 27 , and therefroe likely cannot relate to the time and era when relievers were pu into a game when they were sometimes BEHIND , and many times pitched 2 , 3 , or even FOUR INNINGS...when goose was in his prime , he WAS THE MOST FEARED closer ( for about 7 years 77-83 ) in the game..DOMINANT , PERIOD!
good point .. i figured thats what it was ..... the role of the closer definitely has changed .... i remember Goose in the late 70's and what i remember was that he was unbelieveable ... yeah he didnt get 50 saves but again . the role of the closer id completely different now .... very deserving and he should have been in already ..
Fantastic! Wells hot and well written. In visitng the website that produced the video I found lots more interesting content including a tour of the Naismith Basketball Hall and one of the World Golf Hall; they should share those too.
Great feats in their eras. I have a hard time giving respect to Anson or Cobb for their outward racist acts in their careers. But the numbers posted are impressive to say the least
I have a new video on the Hall of Fame. If you go to my channel, you can see it.
