  • holy fuck :D

  • Jesse Eisenberg fronts La Dispute?

  • Wow. That was so deep

  • I love it :)

  • litterly one of the best lyrics and most amazing lyric videos ive seen... keep up the good work

  • :O i felt like i was a super awesome scientist for once! :D

  • Shit this is some dan good typography.

  • Is this O'Henry?

  • whats this Peom called?

  • @Fjig10 Amzingness... Might as well be.. But really Idk..

  • @Fjig10 It's not a poem, it's a song by La Dispute called One.

  • @mattmakescovers its an excerpt from a book called Still Life with Woodpecker

  • this is great! :D

  • Amazing work with after effects, first time through I thought it was the proper music video for it, and I thought it was a good one.

Love the song, is making me think...

  • This is fantastic.

  • awesome!! totally great job, glad you made it.

  • Oh I should add, I guess, that this all text from the book "Still Life With Woodpecker" by Tom Robbins

  • According to the actual book "To this last, Princess Leigh-Cheri responded, "There are two lost continents.... Hawaii was one, called Mu, the mother, its tips still projecting in our senses-- the land of slap dance, fishing music, flowers and happiness. There are three lost continents.... We are one: the lovers." I know that the quote is odd out of context of the book but i think it answers the question... the three lost continents are: 1.)Atlantis 2.)Hawaii 3.)Lovers
  • I think Atlantas is the first lovers are the second and the third is talked about in their song the last lost continent

  • @Olivia7Ptv whats the third and the first? the first is the lovers

  • his voice sounds like Jesse Eisenberg.:)

  • The Lovers are one lost continent but what are the others?

I've been searching everywhere for that answer and cant find shit haha

  • That was by far the coolest thing I've ever seen.

  • Sorry I know everyone has probably been bugging you about the "anser" thing but there is also "jagged and hospitable floats" its actually "in-hospitable" ^___^"

  • These guys are like. Preachers, but WAY better. x3

  • I may be getting to deep into this piece of art, but who else found the utter bluntness and minimalistic aspect of this to be somewhat, eerie, it's so to the point it's haunting

  • this make anyone else think of social networking?

  • This is simply brilliant. No other words for it.

  • Why does the Real Question send chills up my spine every time I hear it?

  • this is SO great :)

  • @AerostaticaVOX

Wrong. The three lost continents are all "stages of love", sort of speak. It's not as cut and dry as you make it seem. It's a metaphor, you see; the lovers are actually all three continents. He uses the book "Still Life with Woodpecker" as an anecdote to more concisely demonstrate the first two. I feel like i shouldn't explain it any further, because it's really up to the artist interpreting the piece to find their own deeper meaning.

  • how do i get all of the "hear hear"? anyone??

  • this is amazing!

  • also you said hospitable where it says inhospitable

  • this is beautiful and inspiring

  • does anyone know what the second lost continent is?

In this song he says the first is love, then their song The Last continent(12) talks about the third...

    what is the second?

  • @Olivia7Ptv Hawaii. :3 This comes from a book by Tom Robbins titled Still Life with Woodpecker. This poem/song is a quote from it,just with some parts taken out. Here is the section of the original quote that's actually relevant to your question. :D

" To this last,Princess Leigh-Cheri responded,"There are two lost continents....Hawaii was one, called Mu,the mother, its tips still projecting in our senses- the land of slap dance, fishing music, flowers, and happiness. There are three lost continents

  • @singninjasing

After reading your reply, i looked up Still Life with Woodpecker, and i have to read this book now!

It seems amazing. Thank you so much.

  • @Olivia7Ptv We are one: the lovers." The intro to the book is what this was taken from, and the reason why I started reading Tom Robbins in the first place.

My apologies for such a lengthy reply..

  • @Olivia7Ptv Atlantis

  • @Olivia7Ptv

this whole entire recording is just a rendition of the first 2 or so pages of Still Life with Woodpecker by Tom Robbins

when he refers to the lost continents he's talking about Atlantis and Mu along with other myths of that ilk. Saying one of the lost continents is the lovers he's basically saying love is something people look for but many claim doesn't exist any more or never existed in the first place.

  • @Olivia7Ptv the first is love right? the last, the third, is the lovers? so maybe the second is the heart?

  • <3

  • Wow. This was amazing.

  • THIS IS AWESOME. LOVE IT.

  • beautiful!

  • What did you make this with?

  • @UberGigglez Adobe After Effects

  • This is so great.

  • Also, *consider 0:45

:3 Just letting you know. I understand that your primary language isn't English, so I can't really get on to you :) but just bringing it to attention. Amazing video man, favoriting, thumbs up, everything for me. Keep up the good work.

  • Where is 2 and 4?

  • @savage5394 This video took me a couple of weeks to make. I haven't made one for 2 and 4 yet and I don't know whether that will ever happen.

  • @Timvanhelsdingen please make 2 and 4

  • Flawed or not this is fantastic. :)

  • this is really really good!!! <3

  • great job man!!! this is by far my favorite song and i listen to it everyday and i wondered if anybody would put it on youtube yet and thank god that you did man =)

  • I thought this was awesome. lag or no lag, ws or no ws.

  • How did you make this video?

  • I fucking LOVE your video. It was booootiful<3

  • FUCKING AMAZING

  • @Timvanhelsdingen I jep it concise great job man!!!

  • This is truly outstanding. I love La Dispute and Still Life With Woodpecker, and now this typography. However, being the grammar nazi that I am, I noticed a few misspellings besides "anser".

"concider a certain night in august" should be consider

"jagged and hospitable" should be inhospitable.

Fixing these would make this video perfect.

  • wow you did a fantastic job here!

  • This is amazing. Amazing song.

  • as every simple question - this also has a simple answear.

Just think more about your lover - then you think about yourself.

Dont be selfish, but respect yourself.

    And thats preety much it

  • Good job man.

    La Dispute are amazing.

  • 1:16 "Anser me that" O.O

  • @venapax i see... fuck, i spend months on this thing, too bad i fucked up with such a small thing.. i'll fix it

  • @Timvanhelsdingen its ok man. the devil's in the details

  • @Timvanhelsdingen king of buttons.

  • @Timvanhelsdingen wonderful video, it was excellent and i loved it :)

  • Looking great xx

    =)

  • Hey, this is really nice. I love kinetic typography. However, sometimes the sentences kind of "lagged behind" when the camera moved, like at 1:15 Otherwise, it's really great animation!

  • @Ap0ske Thanks man ^^ But don't you mean 0:15?... :P

  • @Timvanhelsdingen Naah, I meant the part where the heart zooms out to the upper left corner. The heart has this "blurry movement" effect, while the text doesn't, and it just kind of looks unnatural to me ^^
