The thing that separates us from everything else is our ability acquire intelligence. That's why us humans are capable of being ignorant (lacking knowledge) and not animals, plants and things.

Ignorance should be distinguished from stupidity, although both can lead to "unwise" acts. Also, if important information is available, one may fail to acquire it due to lack of intelligence (not realizing its importance, or not understanding it).

Ignorance is a state of being uninformed (lack of knowledge). The word "ignorant" is an adjective describing a person in the state of being unaware and is often used as an insult. "Ignoramus" is commonly used in the UK and Ireland as a name of someone who is overwhemingly ignorant.

I agree that the number of students out-number the teachers. Maybe we need some security cameras around the school, with alarms that go off everytime somebody's attacked.

"Teasing" and "bullying" are different things. Sometimes there confused with each other and "teasing" tends to downgrade what is truly harmful behavior towards a person.

Teasing is when friends make light fun of each other. It does not hurt the person's feelings, but is a light poke. Even if its a repeated joke, teasing is not meant to break the person down psychologically, or to hurt them.

Bullying is the physical and psychological oppression of a person. It is not done among friends.

Teisha I agree with you totally. Bro T, as much as I appreciate you, but you are not making sense in this video! Bullying is not natural nor teasing is natural because no human being came out of their mother's womb bullying someone. It is true that bullying will never cease but others who oppose bullying can mitigate it. Like Kia said, we have to be optimistic and not accept the stats quo. we must challenge it.

It Is the job of the parent and student to report that they are being bullied. The principal need to be notified so that disciplanary actions can be taken. If that does not work,the kids who are being bullied need to learn how to defend thereself. I don't think that its gay kids being bullied. There are alot of straight kids being bullied. The gay kids draw attention to thereselves and it makes kids want to pick on them. I believe so many kids are homophobic is part of the problem.

When you physically disciplin or verbally threaten a child, that child will imitate that same behaviour at school. We should focus on getting to the root of the problem, and find out what's causing the child to act this way in the first place.

I think that people in general need to find other non-destructive methods of dealing with anger.

I agree that the local media/police should be contacted when has gone through all the right channels, and is still ignored.

@k5lta say if you were a child or teen who constantly get's pick on or watever, and your keeping all of that in, not tellin anyone about your situation. all of that anger and sadness builds inside of you, until you figure that the only way to deal with this is to go away, where you will feel no pain. Untill you feel that way, don't say they are weak, becuz you don't understand what they're going through. I don't feel that they shoud kill themselves becuz their are alot of ways you can deal with

i got constantly bullied before too in middle school,but yeah some people cant handle it so they kill theirselves,so whatever man,the bullies will never stop,cuz no one will retaliate and defend theirselves,so i guess the weak will constantly die off from not learning had to man up and retaliate.
