@letsseek In all the story adaptations I've seen, Beth never plays complex, layered classical pieces on the piano. That's more reminiscent of Laurie's style and skill level, particularly when he plays the "Sonata Pathetique" following Jo's rejection later in the book. But this is a cartoon after all. :)
I remember watching this as a little girl and loving the scene when Beth plays the piano, and the song she played. I was just starting to learn how to play the piano at the time myself, and always wanted to learn to play the song. I was so happy when I was able to finally find out the name of the song was and get the sheet music for it.
And, because of all of that, Chopin became my favorite classical music writer. :)
I loved that scene as a little girl too. I always wanted to play piano because of it, and finding this on youtube made me able to find the name of the piece Beth played and was able to listen to it over and over. I love Fantasie Imprumptu
Ow, I fell down stairs before and it hurt like hell but Jo was hitting her head and it looks like her neck should be broken.. x) This is a really cute cartoon though :D

That full somersault down the stairs should've been enough to break Jo's neck. lol.

@rayva1 The stairs back then were made of solid wood. It would have seriously injured her in real life.

Usually it's not funny when someone falls down the stairs, but Joe does it with such style.
