  • i still love this song!!!!

  • ......but they ask him if he had a girl friend?

  • this guy? now girls scream at some one cool like Flo- Rida

  • The best part of this video (other than the song) is seeing the expression on that pretty girl's face at 2:23 ... priceless!

  • OMG!! I was 13 and Bobby Sherman was my heart throb!! My room was plastered withhis pics!! So great to see this!! Have to admit I loved the music much more back then!! LOL!!!!!

  • I can remember my first poster was of him, and i think it was from Tiger Beat!

  • I think God made him as cute as He possibly could then sprinkled him with gorgeous dust!!!

  • My teacher always sings this song to a girl in my class named zuli

  • Where I work at, there is someone who always sings this song whenever I come in, so it's a pretty good song

  • Nice

  • I have an Aunt Julie who played this song every durned day for a year!!!

  • So refreshing to see a superstar like Bobby Sherman who is humble and real unlike so many performers today

  • I was in the Bobby, and Bridget fan club!Lol ! Actually he was married here to Patty Carnel, but under Multimedia Record contract ..Bobby had to call himself single,or Tiger Beat ,and Fave ,16,and Flip mags. would flop to David Cassidy! The marriage did not last.He remarried a multi millionaire in real estate.Bobby is now an EMT in So. Cal.Donates his time to emergency medical treatment !He is still cute, and if I get in a car wreck Robert Cabot Sherman can give me mouth to mouth anyday lol!

  • hes kinda cute >.> even tho hes like 100 years old now xD

  • i am huge bobby fan and i'm 17! i know its annoying when people say that but i just wanted to post it. i collect vinyl and i post videos of them often,i have a variety of songs on there and not all of my videos are vinyl related. i even have some bobby sherman=) so if you would like please check out my channel and see if it is for u!

  • Love him on Here Come the Brides as Jeremy. I was so swooned.

  • written for 'julie' of the 'mod squad'...

  • This song was written for my grandma!!! The Guy Singing it Didnt right it!! But The Song Was Written For My Grandma!!

  • I love you bobby! I wish you weren't gay!

  • @jenniferjuniper97 bobby's not gay, he's married

  • @jenniferjuniper97 He's not gay

  • my dad used to always sing this to me

  • The girl at 2:24 shows this to her grandkids and says "That's Me!"

  • Love Julie Sadly Died

  • The big teen heart throbs about this time were Sherman and Cassidy. The Beatles' time had passed, as they had gotten old and into drugs. Campbell was too old when he became popular to be a heart throb, Sherman later left the business, working for the LAPD giving some paramedic training to officers. In interviews, he comes across as very honest and sincere.

  • guess you had to be there . . .

  • i will have an ORGASIM NOW >>>>>>

  • i remember sitting at the table in the school cafeteria and all the little girls from my fourth grade class would rant over who was better looking, Bobby Sherman or Glen Campbell almost everyday. Fast foward 40 years, not sure why he was so popular. His songs suck, he looks old and wasn't no Beatle. Oh well, that's life!

  • Why was this popular? It was the dumbest song of all time.

  • @Albacorewing It was the 70s, this stuff was the pop-i-est of the pop, it wasn't meant to be anything other than ear candy (sticky, sweet and not really good for you, but still tasty).

  • @WH32290 This song was just awful. I still know this woman who would go into semi-orgasmic paroxisms when she heard this song. She is now fifty-something. When I once reminded her of this, she yelled that I was a damn liar. Ah, the embarrassments of youth.

  • @Albacorewing you must be a guy

  • @Albacorewing And I remember my little sister, the youngest of 3 girls, who never felt special until she first this song. If your friend went into spasms hearing this, that was her problem, but I'll be forever grateful to Bobby for making my sister-who was about 10 at the time-feel as special as I always knew she was!!!!

  • If you like Bobby Sherman, you'll probably like listening to my bubblegum music radio show "Echo Valley". It's online, free and just for fun. I play Bobby Sherman and other great stuff like that almost every show! Google " echo valley bubblegum " and you'll find it! :)

  • @GeorgeCarlinIsInHell Your really f**cked up, dude.

  • I used to hate this guy. Only because my older sister loved him, and had his posters all over the place. But now I see this youtube stuff, and he is a pretty good entertainer. My sister passed away from cancer, so now I like this dude. I actually have the albums my sister collected from him now. I have one album cover on my office wall, and one on my workroom wall in my house. Some people make fun of me at work because of it. I don’t care.

  • @cesar1963able That story put tears in my eyes. Sorry about your sister. It's amazing how people can connect us to other people and be a bridge. Your sister must have been a wonderful girl/woman to have loved someone so fine and upstanding as Bobby. To other's it must have been an annoying teenage crush at the time, and now you find that very thing endearing. Do they know about your sister? Maybe they won't make fun if they knew. Kiss yourself on the nose for me!

  • @pjgumby I guess the cancer she had is eating at your brain and dick at the same time. Nobody said anyone was an upstanding citizen. But we all know you are, because your wit and sarcasm puts you above and beyond most junior high kids I know.

  • @cesar1963able Didn't mean to upset you in any way. Don't understand why you are upset. And by the way I don't have a dick.

  • @pjgumby I apologize.

  • Who in the world could resist that golden voice and those baby eyes! He had all screaming in those days!

  • 14 people aren't called Julie

  • I remember watching this on TV,i always liked this song.

  • I saw Bobby Sherman with Peter Noone and Davey Jones several years ago in a Teen Idol show. The middle aged women went nuts for Bobby just like they did in this video. Honestly, it was like a Beatles reaction. It was hysterical. He must have gotten flowers from 3 dozen women. You had to be there. I'm glad I was. Had a wonderful night seeing a rare Bobby Sherman performance.

  • Thank you for posting this video as it brings back alot of good memories and I was around 10 or 11 yrs at the time. I had Bobby Sherman, Donny Osmond, The Partridge Family and Elvis Presley Posters on my walls .

  • @deemdoyle1960 What, not Leif Garrett?

  • My very first concert ever.

  • Bobby Sherman, like Taylor Swift, should not attempt to sing live!

  • I used to go nuts every time this came on the radio and it wound up being one of first 45's. Still have it. Dang ... is he cute or what? How weird though to be a guy in his 20's serenading 8 and ten year olds. Not insinuating anything. I know he's a good man and with the LAPD.

  • Why does the band sound like it's amplified by a transistor radio?

  • This is when music was music, not the garbage out there today. No need for craprappers.

  • Wow!! What a blast from the past!!! Thanks!!!!

  • I fondly remember seeing Bobby Sherman on my 13th birthday at Oakdale Theater in Connecticut. I will never forget that day for as long as I live. Thanks Mom and Dad for the best BD present ever!!! I think he even blew me a kiss!! :- )

  • The girls were just nuts about this guy---

  • OMG I'm gonna drop acid after watching this.

  • @Walkerisawanker -LOL!!! :)

  • @Walkerisawanker this song sucked big time but we weren't listening to the song, lol. he was so gorgeous we couldn't see or hear anything else...i didn't like his music at all but not many men liked or thought about raquel welch's movies but that didn't stop them from drooling all over her...same thing...i saw him live when i was 13...at the beginning of my hormonal climb into adulthood...he kick started it for me haha

  • FANTASTIC !!!!

  • Oh yes the hair helmet, and the days teen idols.

  • I had a big crush on Bobby Sherman when I was a teenager, still like him today. I remember this song too.

  • First record I ever bought ---- Thanks for the memories!

  • YUMMMMMMMMMM!

  • like this Bobby Sherman song!..used to sing this song when a chick name Julie broke my freak'n heart some long years ago!..got sooo sick for three days..took me awhile to get over her..when i think about it..makes me sooo mad! x0/

  • Justin bieber sucks

  • The pretty girl at 2:24 reminds me of Velma from Scooby Doo :-)

  • Comment removed

  • @barnabas50 Hahahaha, not exactly subtle, are you? Still........gotta agree 100%

Simply put: in 1970, this man was THE shit. I hate it that some guys have it all! lol

  • the Justin Bieber of the 70s :D

  • wow things back GOOD TIMES for mer - WOW

BOBBY was it for me = WOW

  • this sounds like easy listening pop rock to me.

  • isn't there a better song with my name?

  • Oooooh. Now he was a cutie petutie. Look up cutie petutie and his picture should be there. This song would come on the radio and I'd go nuts. Still have the '45.

  • oh, the fantasies of a fifth grader! Such a cutie pie!

  • Great song, written by one of the Partridge Family studio back up singers.

  • Major crush then... it was the time. Never noticed how big his feet were though. His pictures .. hung.. on my wall too. Hmmmmmmmmm... lol

  • He looks like Fred from ScoobyDoo

  • @rainingowls Oh my... I really did laugh out loud at this comment., espcially since both of them had the oh-so-masculine Ascot... :-)

  • @rainingowls sings like him, too.

  • OK, Ladies; Here he is~~~

  • boy brings back the memories

  • This chorus keeps going through my head because I have a little girl in my room at the daycare by that name. Honestly don't even know how I even knew that much because I was never into Bobby back them. I was just a little girl when he came out. He is awful cute thought.

  • HEY!! thats me!! hes singin to me!!

  • My memory is that he was a better singer than this. However, he moves his hips well.

  • my little sister Julie used to love this song and had pictures of Bobby Sherman all over our walls. we even called this "Julie's song". well, my little Julie died just over 2 months ago and this song brings back such sweet memories whenever i hear it. thank you, Bobby!!! Jenni Whitney-Julie's sister

  • "Here comes the brides".

  • You know Justin Bieber is just a younger version of Bobby.......but I still prefer Bobby over anyone!

  • Wasn't "Starbuck" on the original 1978 "Battlestar Galactica"

    based on him?

Dick Benedirt was a better singer though...

  • This sounds like a beer drinking song !

  • TWAT? I CUNT hear you! I think I have an ear inFUCKtion!

  • So forgot about this one. Julie Julie Julie. our little one is Juliana...gotta make sure she know this one.

  • i wanted to be julie sooooooo bad!!!!

  • LOL at the comments, I had Bobby Sherman and David Cassidy on my walls. I miss that time when Life was so easy.

  • @HaleyTylertoo ......life was easy and GREAT

  • He made me cry....just like the girls in the audience!!! I would hug his record album cover and just cry cry cry...cause I wanted him soooooooo bad...at 12!

  • @luvmusic1957 Isn't adolescence wonderful LOL

  • Just rediscovered Bobby. He was my top guy. You couldn't help but fall in love with him. He makes your day with that smile.

  • I remember that you could cut the single of this song off of a cereal box and that is how I got it. Can you believe it? I had crushes on both Bobby and David Soul from "Here Come the Brides", a poplar tv show at the time. I was 12 or 13 years old.

  • that intro chatter was purely contrived

  • Straight from the cover of Teen Beat - Those little girls would've torn him to shreds and been ecstatic

  • damn I was in love with him then and he still causes my heart to throb lol

  • My Pa Pa sang this to me when I was a little girl........cause my name is Julie & I've never heard it sung by anyone but him, cool :)

  • My song!

  • He sure does. i would love to see a new interview with him. What a nice, talented, handsome wonderful man!. I was only about 7 when HCTB aired, but I now have all of his DVD's and have his book coming hopefully soon. . Are there any DVD's out there of his performances?

  • There is a YOUTUBE interview of him with Rosie O Donnell...you can find it easily!

  • he has such a genuine adoration for his fans

  • This was one of my favorites, growing up. It reminds me so much of my child-hood. Great song and great entertainer. You da' man - Mr. Sherman!!

  • I LOVE Bobby, he is all MAN.

  • My best friend's name is Julie, so I used to tease her with this song.... LOL

  • I have a cousin named Julie and she used to think this song was written for her.

  • My fav ! He looks like my buddy

    Bobby Watson !

  • He is the best!!!

  • I do believe he worked either as a sheriffs deputy or cop down in Southern Cal for many years..Think he just retired recently..

  • Times-Picayune did a story on him about 10 years ago and at that time he was a paramedic.

  • I remember him when I was about 6. Wonder what ever became of him?

  • Hey Dont Poke at Bobby!! He hung on my bedroom wall as a little girl in the sixties w/his good looking black leather pants!! You go Bobby Sherman!!! They're just jealous!

  • @MrSCRAPPY67 Hung? By his neck I hope. Haha

  • @Manwithjeep oohh.. You must be Jealous of Dear Bobby!!!

  • @MrSCRAPPY67 Yeah that must be it. I'm jealous of the easy money he made off those poor unsuspecting girls (like yourself at the time).

  • @MrSCRAPPY67 yes -- my great grandaughter loved him then... Boy that was a long time ago!

  • How did he get to be a little girl hanging on your wall? ;-)

  • @MrSCRAPPY67 In retrospect, he's lookin' a little better than I remembered him!!

  • @ShamWasBetter Really? Nothing intelligent to say I see.

  • @MrSCRAPPY67 I didn't know he was a little girl in the `60's!

  • boo urns thats gick

  • I love the girl's reaction at 2:24. Her expression seems to sum up exactly what all those screaming girls were experiencing while watching Bobby!

  • @TessDesmond I remember the times well. I was the same age of those teeny boppers in the audience, and I was just thinking how most of us are Grandmas now, and probably loving Bobby the way we did then. Gee..Where did all the time go? So many good times :-)

  • @TessDesmond: Sure... they were all wet even before he started to sing...

  • I can't believe we actually wore clothes ilke this in the 70's I laugh but it worked to get the girls

  • Speaking of that hairdo, Donald Trump's got nothing on those bangs of his, man.

  • Never ever seen a hair do like this one.. good on ya bobby

  • Get a load of those gun boats on his feet.

Is it just me, or is he wearing a pair of clown shoes?

  • totaly narley groovy

  • well, do you ????

  • this song is better than any song of 2009!!

  • He thinks that national girls are outta sight.

    Groovy.

  • Um, that's NASHVILLE girls, not national girls. This clip is from The Johnny Cash Show in Nashville Tennessee.

  • Would love to hear a comment from the girl at 2:23. She looks totally mesmerized by him. (Who wouldn't be)

  • must of been 10years old when this was in charts

  • He's probably got a small penis.

  • And I now have a girlfriend name Julie

  • my name is juliA

  • Axl Rose copied this guys dance moves!

  • Bobby was my first crush and when he came out with this song to me I knew he was the one :-) julie

  • I was a Bobby Sherman Freak long before I was a Elvis Freak , I was 9 and thought he was the end, I watched the episode with him on the Partridge Family with David Cassidy and I was in heaven, dreaming of marrying him with his chocker necklace. I think its awesome he went on to help people and become a police officer and paramedic, what a great guy.

  • OH My God! This Is Unreal! He Was My First Artist I Ever Went Nuts For!! I Couldn't Get Enough Of Him Then.. Now It's Clay And Josh Groban fettucini50

  • pish,compared to white plains,crap

  • I listen to Sherman saying he's not married, not engaged, and it still pisses me off. I had tickets to his concert at the Salt Palace, and I was soooo excited--the way only a twelve-year-old girl in love with a pop star can be. Then it was announced the show had been cancelled because Bobby had "the flu." Turned out later he cancelled because he got married. He didn't have the guts to say that, though; it wasn't til months later that it came out in Tiger Beat. What a scudge.

  • Now, come on -- after all these years, you're you telling me you don't understand why he didn't want to say he canceled a concert date b/c he was getting married?

Here's the way it works: In the teen idol game, you have to pretend you could fall in love with one of your devoted fans for as long as you possibly can. That's why Adam Lambert was asked not to reveal he is gay and why Clay Aiken's CD sales decreased 700% once it started leaking out he probably was.

  • @endora60 he was supposed to put his life on hold because some hayseed from Hicksville had bought a $3,95 ticket to sit in the back balcony of one of his shows??

and you're still stewing over it 40 years later??

sweetie, you need to run, not walk, to the nearest psychologist's office 'cause you've got some issues!

  • @BernardProfitendieu Stewing over it? No. I hadn't thought of that for decades until I saw this clip. As for being a "hayseed from Hicksville," you're probably right about that--but my hick money was sure good enough for Sherman to spend, wasn't it? Just remember, Bobby Sherman's fans were mostly teenaged girls from Hicksville who put out their allowances and babysitting money to make him a rich man.

And the psychologist's office thing is silly. Do you think it makes you seem cool and tough? No

  • @endora60 the Doctor is waiting, dear. Call him. You won't regret it.

  • I was a pre-teen Bobby Sherman mega-fan! Now I sing "Droolie Do You Love Me" to my cat. Thanks for posting this. The memories are PRICELESS!

  • It's also how I gots my name xD

  • LOL!! this song!! my mom always played it for me when I was 5 lol!! (my names julie) and i loved it lool!! I love him even tho hes 65 now ....:(

  • hey julie is my name 2 LOL = )))))

  • Because they are so similar!

  • Here's a puzzling question: why do teenage girls go crazy over effeminate guys like Bobby Sherman, David Cassidy, Shaun Cassidy, and such?

  • because they are "beautiful," and not overtly sexual. it's a way to start on the whole attraction business without it being scary and confusing.

  • I have been singing this for days lately.

  • this is the greatest............great bubble gum music love this era ........
