Thanks! I've never preserved my soaps before, since a nice balanced soap with less than 6% superfatting gets me a shelf life of 1 year, but I'm planning to sell my soap and I'm shooting for 2+ year life for standard CP and 18 mo.+ for milk based. And yes, benzoin is a great fragrance fixative for soaps, lotions and creams. Thanks again.

LOL My Brianna is 12 :o) As for natural preservatives you can buy benzoin gum to preserve the soap IF you are adding milk fruits and veggies, and fresh flowers. If you are adding nothing but fragrance oils or EO's then there is no need to actively preserve the soap :-) Benzoin can actually keep the scent in your soap longer as well. It is just a little tricky to work with lol

No. I haven't made a shea butter soap yet lol I am working on it though :o) These are soaps my 12 year old daughter made. :o)

She has had boys following her since she was a baby. What is bad for the boys now is not only does she have an over protective father, but she also has 4 over protective uncles and a over protective godfather to deal with as well lol She is going to be a trip as a young woman lol

Thank you :o) We try to have things to do as a family but I wanted to share this with her. My son is still raving about the coffee soap I made to combat his smelly feet lol I think there are enough people selling soaps though, I don't think I would make much of an impact on the market :o)

Thank you. I try to have the type of relationship with Brianna that my mother NEVER had with me. She loves working with her hands though, and she has AMAZING fashion design ideas already stuck in her head. She is like her sister, on their way to greatness. :o)
