@3bdols3DaS In their defense, capcom has been trying to get in more obscure characters lately, like Firebrand and Hsien-Ko. I just think Capcom is trying to get in different play styles and don't care for characters, like they won't include Batsu because he's too similar to Ryu (which brings up the whole Akuma thing) and I doubt Kaijin no Soki will be included, because he's too similar to Dante.
@kl24ntr Just look at their moves. Ryu: Hadoken, Guts Bullet; Shoryuken, Guts Uppercut; Tatsumaki Senpukyaku, Guts Kick. Batsu would be compared to Sakura or Dan, They have the same moves with the same command, but the moves do something a little differently. And for Soki and Dante, they both have their long-range sword normals and demon forms, the only difference is that Dante has 40 special moves while Soki has no projectiles at all.
They didn't add RS characters cuz they think the Western audience will not know the characters cuz they are more like Japanese characters ..........SCREW THEM

@DoomedAbyss That's actually.....an incredibly good idea. Sean is around Sakuras age, and Sakura has been in the Rival Schools series, so it makes perfect sense. Plus, you get interaction between SFA and SFIII characters. Then there's the SakuraxRyu and KenxSean factor. Fandoms usually spout out rearded ideas, but that was pretty good.
Capcom, please do more thorough development & thinking when coming out with crossover titles... Batsu definitely could have been in MVC3. Even Shoma, Roy, Hideo, or just about any person from Rival Schools could had made it in MVC3. No disrespect to anyone, but C. Viper shouldn't had made it into the game. In all honesty, most of the new characters are great additions, but in my OPINION, C. Viper, M.O.D.O.K., and Spencer should not had been in this game. Well hopefully there will be more downloadable content in the near future. It would be awesome if Captain Commando and Gambit made it back in. Those two were my favorites and best people to use.

Well, the producer did talk about wanting to have eight more characters so they could pass MvC2's number but they were forced to rush it for a holiday release. At the very least I'm sure this means UMvC3 will see some DLC characters. I'd say Batsu still has a slight chance.

@ChidoriSnake Bionic Commando was released at the 80s and it was a Capcom's success. Capcom has added its legends (Ryu, Strider, Haggar) in UMvC3. I think Batsu should have been in MvC3. I think Capcom has done in MvC3 what they should have done: add their best characters (their legends and current characters).
Batsu was excellent in TvC bevause he's a good rival for Polymar and, if Capcom makes TvC2, I think Spencer should be added because he'd be a good rival for Casshern.

u guys know that the rival schools games and final fight games both take place in the street fighter universe. So if capcom dont got any ideas of making a new rival schools they can put some ppl from rival schools into the new street fighter gamee jus like they did with cody and guy in super street fighter 4. or marvle vs capcom 3 would be cool 2 see batsu and guy in 2
For what console was Rival Schools? looks like a ps1 game, but I think it only hit arcades, or did it come for a home console too? I'm just sayin' I don't know..
Rival Schools was in the arcade on what was basically a PS1 in an arcade cabinet. It also got an actual PS2 release, which was probably a matter tweaking, and little else.
The PS1 version got an extra disc with more characters. A japanese only semi-sequal for the PS1 and a true sequal called Project Justice was released for the Dreamcast. I have no idea if Project Justice was in arcades. I'd guess yes, but perhaps in Japan only.

Hell yeah Batsu! After all he's the main character of it. I'm just happy a Rival Schools character is in this game, I can't wait to play it when it comes out over here.
@burningvatsu because he's not unique....jux another character that punch and kick and shoot a beam.....and the cast of rival school are extremely unusual and diverse....out of all of that and they chose to put in the most generic one I'm not satisfy.
Phoenix Wright was originally intended to be one of the new characters for American release. One of his main attack was suppossed to be OBJECTION that flew across the screen, sadly, in Japan, it would have been fine, seeing as how its 1 to 3 characters, but when translated, it becomes a whole 9 characters. They felt it overpowered and scrapped him.

@CaptainPimpSlap No, he's right. The move is Zenkai Kiaidan. Genkai means limit or bound where as Zenkai means full-throttle or all-out.

I always like Batsu as a Character but I fell even more in love with him when I found out he had the same voice actor as Link (From legend of Zelda Orcarina of Time)

u guys know that the rival schools games and final fight games both take place in the street fighter universe. So if capcom dont got any ideas of making a new rival schools they can put some ppl from rival schools into the new street fighter gamee jus like they did with cody and guy in super street fighter 4. or marvle vs capcom 3 would be cool 2 see batsu and guy in 2

For what console was Rival Schools? looks like a ps1 game, but I think it only hit arcades, or did it come for a home console too? I'm just sayin' I don't know..

Rival Schools was in the arcade on what was basically a PS1 in an arcade cabinet. It also got an actual PS2 release, which was probably a matter tweaking, and little else.
The PS1 version got an extra disc with more characters. A japanese only semi-sequal for the PS1 and a true sequal called Project Justice was released for the Dreamcast. I have no idea if Project Justice was in arcades. I'd guess yes, but perhaps in Japan only.

Oh yeah. We played a Project Justice machine in an arcade in Melbourne, FL. The arcade was called Andretti's.
It was in english, too.

Also they should make the previous rival school games a downloadable for psn and xbox live with online just as they did to MvC2. But yea another rival school game would be nice cause this was my main fighting game bac in elementary.

@burningvatsu because he's not unique....jux another character that punch and kick and shoot a beam.....and the cast of rival school are extremely unusual and diverse....out of all of that and they chose to put in the most generic one I'm not satisfy.

Phoenix Wright was originally intended to be one of the new characters for American release. One of his main attack was suppossed to be OBJECTION that flew across the screen, sadly, in Japan, it would have been fine, seeing as how its 1 to 3 characters, but when translated, it becomes a whole 9 characters. They felt it overpowered and scrapped him.

well dis was from rival schools that high school rooftop remixed wished they had kyosuke in this but im fine with bastu. I love this game & its some much fun to play. too bad it ain't online :(
