I have one in my garden (stupid and unknowing I planted it myself about 8 years ago) And now I try to find out how to get rid of it without using a herbicide. Wish me luck :-)

I HATE THESE!!! HATEHATEHATE THEM! They are like a freakin hydra. Cut them down, and a million suckers pop up!!
