@josheho IP bans are useless. Two of the main reasons are that many people don't have static IPs and those who do can reset them in just a couple of minutes. That's why a lot of companies (Jagex included) don't implement them.

Runescape is dead. It amazes to think how advanced these bots are these days. Years ago all they really ever did was wood cut and a few other non-complex skills and now there killing green dragons and out numbering us.

@RsTasks Dude, bots in general have depleted in f2p. I havn't played in like 6 months on f2p, but I went back there and there is like 1/4 the amount of bots at the usual bot hot spots i.e. chickens, ess mine, mining guild.
easy solution jagex....daily updates...just tweak the game code a little bit each day so it is unnoticeable and then the bots would have to update and it takes hours for bots to update to runescape.....so there you go, theres like 50% of the bots gone

Please check every Free To Play world and go check the hotspots where gold advertisers were all the time. They're now all queit, this is not done by P-mods since P-mods only mute a few botters and another one comes back. The new advertising bots quitted coming to the spots, and the other ones are queit and frozen. Please check this out, Jiblix made Jagex do this!! Thanks Jibby!
A friend of mine who I've known for years has recently been permanently muted for "excessively disrupting" the clan chat as a Jagex Moderator described it. Yet, all he did was ask what what actions Jagex were taking to counteract the bot crisis. This has evidently happened to others too, and Jagex has gone to new heights in censoring those who care about the game. Instead of punishing bots, they punish those who point out the botting problem.

You guys don't understand.... banning bots is like putting a killer in jail. They will always be replaced the only way to stop the botting problem is to kill it at the source which is the RWT Websites and individual persons who create these botting scripts. Jagex currently stands for Just About the Gaming EXperience. It previously stood for JAva Gaming EXperts. The fact of the matter is, the gaming experience is SHIT currently. Jagex suckered up to money over quality, and therefore are actually pushing their own game into the ground to squeeze as much money out of it rather than focusing on keeping the game alive to generate more money in the long-term. They show no respect for the customers by punishing those who care about the game they make.

Making your own RSPS? Make it RS in '07 and make it on your subscribtion base until it gets bigger, make it exactly the same with some minor changes that you feel neccessary. For example, take away something like Korasi, or even Curses... make it to where people liked it back then and actually listen to your "Gaming Community" for updates, and like you said, "If you want it done right, do it yourself."
Jagex was working on this projekt all the time.

Probably was just the recent update that kept them off for a while. There's been quite a few of them recently.
They can do sweeps as much as they want, but it takes about three minutes to get another account from lumbridge to the GE.

You guys don't understand.... banning bots is like putting a killer in jail. They will always be replaced the only way to stop the botting problem is to kill it at the source which is the RWT Websites and individual persons who create these botting scripts. Jagex would have to take legal action against these websites to get them shut down which will cost a considerable amount of money because of legal fees. They are doing their best against the botting problem but you still shun them...

I look at Jiblix's videos and I think, if Jagex are actually watching these, which they are, why aren't they doing anything?
The comments towards Jagex on alot of RuneScape videos now are mostly about bots and advertising, scamming, and the like. If they know these are here, and they aren't paying the attention to us, why should we pay attention to them? They let the game get this way themselves, & promised to keep it ad and bot free when the FT & Wildy came back. Did they?..See for yourself

Jagex currently stands for Just About the Gaming EXperience. It previously stood for JAva Gaming EXperts. The fact of the matter is, the gaming experience is SHIT currently. Jagex suckered up to money over quality, and therefore are actually pushing their own game into the ground to squeeze as much money out of it rather than focusing on keeping the game alive to generate more money in the long-term. They show no respect for the customers by punishing those who care about the game they make.

Making your own RSPS? Make it RS in '07 and make it on your subscribtion base until it gets bigger, make it exactly the same with some minor changes that you feel neccessary. For example, take away something like Korasi, or even Curses... make it to where people liked it back then and actually listen to your "Gaming Community" for updates, and like you said, "If you want it done right, do it yourself."
