  • @Theshoesaremine İf you want to learn Turkish, we can speak via msn or skype. I want to learn English & you want to learn Turkish This method can help each of us. We can learn from each other.

  • @noclassatall Mostly because it's easier to say that way, otherwise sounds funny and weird to me.

Oh and Turkish is a polite language, with time, you will fully understand why it changes, by ear. :)

  • beautiful language

  • abi is wrong, ağabey is right.

  • @OverLord987 abi is short form, not quite wrong

  • it is Merhaba, with H

  • Abla , Abi , these words of sign of Respect, if u have brother older than u,u do not call him name,u tell him Abi, ofc if u want to call his name u would, but with Abi,For example Mehmet (Abi),if u have a older sister than you,for example , Ece (Abla), usually we turkish ppl do not use the names into our family,Bigger Sister (ABLA) , bigger brother(abi),like i said this is a sign of respect. Amca(Uncle),Teyze(Aunt),Anneanne(GrandMother),Dede(GrandFather),Kuzen(Cousin)

  • you didn't mention that "ata" is old turkish for "father".

  • @Sule452 ata means ancestor these days:)

  • merhaba is pronounced "merHaba" or "meraba"?

  • @athenistan i would say both:)) but, usually, the "H" in the middle is not pronounced, because it takes some effort to say that "H" all the time... we just quickly say "meraba":))

  • @LearnTurkishChannel thank you very much for your important help

  • @athenistan you're welcome:)

  • thank u for this ,xx

  • how would you pronounce 'ocean'? Like "day-neez"?

  • @kimmi90me ocean---okyanus, sea---deniz, the letter "e" is different in turkish, you shall watch my "the letter e" video...

  • at 0:41 the word "siz" ppl still use it?? i always use "sen"! it still means u right?

  • @PrincessMarina121 people do still use "siz":) "sen" is singular, "siz" is plural..

  • really i always thought "siz " was used for being polite to people who are older than you, like use it when talking to ur parents, grandparents, etc. well since i`m a Ahiska Turk we mostly use "sen" =)

  • @PrincessMarina121 you're right:))) but, its used both for being polite and plural form:))

  • yeah i guess=)

  • u know turkish is a little complicated but i`m glad i`m a turk^-^

  • Anya --> Ana (mother)

    Ő - O (He She It)

Ők - Onlar (the "lar-ler" is the hungarian "k" suffix)

    Én - ben (i)

    Enyém - Benim (mine)

Sok - Cok (many, lot, very) (the hungarian "s" is the same like turk "ş")

    Very similar to hungarian!!

  • Yes, linguists say Turkish, Hungarian and Finnish come from the same family of languages. So, we can be considered to be relatives.:)

  • very useful

is this true in turkish (çok yararlı)

but I dont know how do they say it?

    Specialy (yararlı)

because I learned çok means very

  • Turkish have a lot of other languages in to it. like money pora i will always remember that becaouse someone i use to know use to tell me give me money in Serbain all the time.

Dee Me para "give me money"

  • turks have ruled multinational empires for years, so its normal:)) but still, turkish also has lots of original old turkish words in it... we can still understand the other turkish groups living in central asia...

  • I can see that, we use turkish words in Egypt as well, like Abla, Abi, Baba, Ana. I'm hoping i could learn more turkish, it's a wonderful language and culture.
