Who's going to be able to think clearly when they have a snake crawling on their windshield?! Yeah, I love animals,too,but its not every day this happens. Evidently, they weren't snake experts as so many of you, and had no clue from the view they had whether it was a rattlesnake, copperhead or what. Poor shame, poisonous or not, go to a wooded area, get out the back door, one keeps their eye on the snake, get a branch (at least 4 to 5 feet long) and gently remove the snake. into some grass and let it slither away. Is it REALLY THAT hard?
I was truly more scared for the snake. Thank God those two were NOT in my canoe when a water moccasin tried to board it. A few taps, not WHACKS, just a few taps to let it know "no, sorry bud, this is not a river taxi... keep moving" and it away it went.

Also I have seen yellow and black copperheads so its safe to avoid all snakes with similar markings. Who's going to be able to think clearly when they have a snake crawling on their windshield?! Yeah, I love animals,too,but its not every day this happens. Evidently, they weren't snake experts as so many of you, and had no clue from the view they had whether it was a rattlesnake, copperhead or what. I would have been more concerned about it slithering in if I 'gently pulled off the road" as to not hurt the snake as so many of you suggested...forget about the kid in the backseat!!

Poor shame, poisonous or not, go to a wooded area, get out the back door, one keeps their eye on the snake, get a branch (at least 4 to 5 feet long) and gently remove the snake. into some grass and let it slither away. Is it REALLY THAT hard?
I was truly more scared for the snake. Thank God those two were NOT in my canoe when a water moccasin tried to board it. A few taps, not WHACKS, just a few taps to let it know "no, sorry bud, this is not a river taxi... keep moving" and it away it went.

Also I have seen yellow and black copperheads so its safe to avoid all snakes with similar markings. He obviously didnt have enough distance in between vehicles (especially given a motorcycle) or he was not paying attention. If he was driving a car it would have prob been a fender bender. Panic doesn't usually consist of joking around, taking out a camera and filming the plight of another, continuing driving as normal, and wishing death upon a being whose very life is in their hands. However, I did see what I would call "panic" in the video, but it was coming from the snake. I won't make excuses for these people who knew what they were doing.

I mean, aside from an initial shock at seeing a snake on your car, would it have been that difficult to just slowly make your way off the freeway, let it move off the car, and just continue to wherever they were going? There's no reason they couldn't have slowed down, got in the slow lane and pulled off (they do know how to drive don't they?) to let this poor creature go on it's way. This particular snake wasn't scared enough by people and their car as it should be - as a result this snake seized to be and it's totally fine with me. Probably the other snake will flea next time and will give birth to little baby snakes with a proper instinct. Call it a natural selection.
