Yes ... that would be very usefull indeed, especially if you can make it last a decent length of time.
I've had quite a few days recently where the wind direction was changing from one moment to the next ... nearly a nil wind day ... hardly registering on the windsock.
@BrianTurboT Hello Brian, I use to dabble with electric matches and so I could rig you some up? A double length, longer burn version would be ideal set on a 2 foot spike/stand to aid very light wind forward launch direction (less likely to fluff a launch :o). Also for approaching/landing pilots, again when the windsock is of little use, a 'ground crew' member could ignite one :o) Even if wind is only blowing 1mph it could make all the difference from either a 13mph landing or a 11mph landing.

Yes Rob ... I can see the attraction ... BUT how much extra thrust does it give (lol).
If you could rig an electric 'match' to start it remotely, we could strap a couple onto the Egg ... Red Arrows ...Paaaah! ... who needs 'em :-)
