  • that's the Truth, may God bring Justice to the situation

  • She was very well prepared!

  • yes she did an amazing job. when one speaks the truth, no matter the amount of preparation before speaking, it comes out powerful because it is the TRUTH.

  • Very moving speech. I swear i get goosebumps every time i listen to it.

  • MashAllah! The girl really brought it home. As long as we have such heroes among us, we know that Palestinians are not alone and we'll be liberated.

  • you're right, this is a waste of all of our time.

you do not care what anyone has to say, b/c it goes against what you believe. i'm not saying any more, because you are an idiot.

and thanks for posting this video. so people can hear actual facts, and not your bulls**t

  • that has nothing to do with being shot at. also, seeing how no reports have come out about hamas shooting at red cross or UN officials, none whatsoever, i think its safe to say that we can count hamas out.

no only that, but this is the pope's official minister of justice and peace. you think that the pope would appoint someone to that position, and allow him to be interviewed, without approving what he's saying?

  • The pope doesn't need anyone to speak for him - if he felt that way he would say it. Cardinal Renato Martino has said many things that Catholics don't agree with.

Allow him to be interviewed? This isn't the Middle East we're talking about Trend - just about everywhere else people can be interviewed. It's only in Muslim countries that freedom of speech isn't allowed.

Of course the Red Cross issue has to do with being shot at - aren't you reading anything about this issue?

  • and so you're implying then, that Hamas is shooting at the Red Cross, the very people that are trying to treat the wounded and the dying? and the Red Cross has said nothing about it?

  • Please don't be stupid now, just when I thought you were being sensible.

Opinion within the Vatican varies. Cardinal Renato Martino has his own opinion, and that is it, he doesn't represent the Vatican, the Pope does.

The Red Cross says Israeli soldiers are shooting at them. If that is true, those soldiers ought to be court martialed and jailed. But until we are sure that it is not Hamas soldiers firing at them, we must wait for evidence. Hamas has been willing to kill anyone, as proven.

  • watch who you're calling stupid, moron.

    the red cross says:

"After 10 days of uninterrupted military operations in the Gaza Strip, what we're dealing with is clearly and beyond doubt in my mind a full-blown and major humanitarian crisis," the ICRC's Pierre Kraehenbuhl told the BBC.

"For the people inside Gaza, the situation has become intolerable... The reports we've had during the night is that the last night has been the most intense in terms of bombardments and military operations."

  • Such is the legacy of Hamas shelling Israel. Why anyone would tempt war with a nation they know could obliterate them, I don't know.

Maybe Hamas meant for this to happen. Maybe you should hold Hamas to the same moral standard you demand of Israel. The Middle East would be a more peaceful place if you did that.

    Will you do that?

  • there was the murder of the palestinians before hamas. there is the murder of the palestinians with hamas. and there will be the continued murder of the palestinians after hamas. all at the hands of the israeli authorities.

ps. i love how you don't address any of the points i made.

you just bring up...what do you know?! hamas!!

  • This trick of yours - projecting your weaknesses on me. I see there was never much to be learned here.

What a waste of my time.

  • evr...what does voting for hamas have to do with these videos? none of them end with "long live hamas." they all just ask for an end to the bloodshed, particularly the most recent attack in gaza. im sorry they don't all yell "omG we love Israeli policies," but you know what? that's ok. we don't all have to agree. so why try to vilify the speakers as terrorist supporters when all they're trying to do is remember those that died?

  • I'll tell you why Trend. Monstrous movements like Hamas survive because people front for them. Speakers, like the ones at this rally, did not spend their time searching for clarity, but to focus blame for the tragedy befalling Gazans today. But what choice does Israel have if terrorists are bombing its citizens and then using their own families as human shields? But none of this was mentioned - only recrimination for Israel and America.

I've watched CAIR play this game for too long.

  • the girl in this vid quotes the vatican and the red cross, both claiming that this latest offensive by israeli authorities is a humanitarian crisis, not a humble self-defense technique on the part of israel. you're telling me that the vatican and the red cross are now allied with cair now? wow...cair must have a lot of influence!!

  • LOL - nice answer to my question, Sweet.

    You lose again.

  • look moron I was not answering your "question," aka repetitive bullshit, since you obviously don't know your facts...

and im sorry, but were we even playing a game for me to lose? shows that your intentions are to win an argument, no matter how baseless your retorts are. seriously grow up.

  • Sweetie - don't lie to me - nothing will ever be solved if you do that. Israeli policy has never "implied" the extermination of Israel. In fact, within Israel live Arabs who enjoy more freedom there than in any Arab or Persian country today.

But what of the Palestinians? The demand back land they abandoned when Arab nations told them they intended to annihilate Israel. Why should Israel let back in those who supported annihilating Israel?

  • wow evr...you really have issues, you should consider taking a "i have no morals and don't listen to the truth because i am dumb and blind" class, you and your zionist friends....it'll do you some good...

  • seriously. and notice that he didn't even bother to include professor o'connell's speech, which gave an academic, unbiased perspective on the situation in gaza... way to go... fueling your own agenda of glorifying israel and making the palestinians look unhuman

  • Sweetie - then why did Gazans vote for an organization that makes no secret of their hatred for Israel? Hamas never wanted to dialogue with Israel - they are terrorists that want to push Israel into the sea. There can be no peace process with Hamas - Hamas won't allow it.

Why did they vote for them?

  • Sir, with all due respect, they can't vote if they're dead.

You think they wanted this?! stravation, unemployment,no dignity, no future

Israel's policies, if u haven't noticed, far before this war, before 67, before 48, have all implied elimination of the peoples of Palestine. "A solely Jewish State from the river to the Sea". This Zionist policy may not be the opinion of the majority, but tell me sir when a so-called "gov't" plans a genocide... is it called terrorism or self-defense?!

  • Sweetie - I don't want any more people dying in this conflict - but I know which side wants peace and which side glorifies terrorism. Children, the ones you claim to care about, are taught in Palestine to hate and hunt Israelis. There are children's shows in the PA territories that indoctrinate them to kill for Allah.

If you cared about women and children, you'd demand Hamas change its charter and you'd demand Palestinians vote for peace.

  • evr, you say "We all have a responsibility to denounce terrorism. If you sympathize with it, you abet it."

    1. we are sympathizing with the victims of the war, not Hamas.

    2. DO you stand by these so called "Israeli policies of defense" which kill so many BENI ADAM (sons of Adam)?!

Because by defending Israeli's actions, you've become a monster not a peacemaker!!!

  • lol think of a new line please.

  • You find terrorism something to laugh about?

This says a lot about you.

  • Lol to evr. do u not see how ridiculous you sound? "we've figured you out." lmaoooooo

  • Who do you think you're fooling? Having family and friends come in to support Palestinian terrorism won't win you any friends.

    We've figured you out.

  • Beautiful speech. Raising awareness on the humanitarian issue in Gaza is definitely not Pro-Hamas.

  • We all have a responsibility to denounce terrorism. If you sympathize with it, you abet it. Hamas terrorists have been attacking Israel relentlessly to create the war happening now.

Open your eyes - and don't equivocate.

  • Also, at the end of your video, you're asking her to take responsibility for inciting the war. But as a student at UCI (obviously not Hamas) and someone who is not Palestinian, why would she take responsibility for starting a war? She is clearly defending the CIVILIANS of Gaza.

    otherwise, looks good!

  • hmmm wow! very well put! Thank you so much for posting this video. I was looking all over the web for it. Now, those who couldn't attend the talk at UCI can still hear the speeches. She made some very strong points and used such a wide variety of sources.

unfortunately, your title is misleading. She did not defend Hamas in a single statement nor did she imply her support for Hamas so Im not sure where you drew that conclusion from.

  • I was there Super - and spending an hour dismissing Hamas terrorism and attacking Israel and America is not pro-life, it's pro-terrorism.

  • How is this pro hamas. Maybe we were at a different rally because the one that is shown in this video is not pro hamas but pro life. "WHERE you live shouldnt determine IF you live". THe rally was pro life, pro justice, pro humanity, pro peace. It had nothing to do with hamas

  • straight up, straight up. where was hamas terrorism discussed? seriously, WHERE. it was discussing the crimes being committed against the INNOCENT gazans that have killed over 800. open your own eyes.

  • what is mentally wrong with you people? damn...

  • I heard about this rally in one of my classes, and when I went it was anything but pro hamas, it was pro humanity, if you know what that means! why don't you go and take what you say and smoke it...
