Doh! It's a classic case of rabbitude. Most of the time, they get used to being held after a while. They just don't like being lifted. But if you put a towel over their heads and wrap them up so they feel comfortable, they won't struggle as they're being lifted. Then you can set them in your lap and talk softly to them as you pet them, and slowly unwrap the towel. You'll probably need to try different ways of unwrapping the towel. But rabbits really aren't as cuddly as most people think they are
haha yes indeed it is rabbitude and she has a little one, hehe. Okay ill have to try that my boyfriend can hold her for like 5 minutes tops but then she gets jumpy so I will have to try this. Thanks for the tips:)
Me too. I was just thinking about her today =( I was vacuuming, and some feathers from our feather pillows were floating around, which reminded me of the way her fluffy bunny fur used to poof all over the place. lol Oddly enough, I actually miss that. She was a good bunny =^.^=
We went to her for 11 years. The bunny was the last of the "small pets" that died. From the beginning she was supposed to be the "small pet specialist". I just tell everyone I know to NOT go to them.
In this video, nothing. But it is what led to her death. The stupid vet didn't know what she was doing. There's a recent video about what that vet did to us.
My daughter works at a Vet's office, and she does those pedicures--for now. She's studying to be a Vet.
The last time I talked to her, I remember her saying something about rabbits needing hay to regulate their digestive systems. She said they need hay, alfalfa, or straw.
That makes me allergic to her bunnies, but I can't help petting them anyway.
That bunny was so sweet! But she died last August. I didn't even realize it has been a whole year. It took me months before I stopped thinking I saw her on the pool deck. And that entire last week before she died, she wouldn't eat anything at all! So I started force-feeding her baby food through a dropper. But I guess it was her time to go =( I just take comfort in knowing she had a good life, and brought us a lot of joy. She's now buried right outside my bedroom window =)
thanks i didn't name him though, i adopted him and he had that name. but i love it thats why i didn't change it. P.S sorry i didn't mean to smap you i clicked the wrong button
She was a sweetie. She died about 3 months ago =( And I'm so used to seeing her running around on my pool deck that I keep thinking I see her. It's weird. I guess I miss my bunny.
Unbelievable -- I'm am the grandma of a big bunny too. I have 20 grandpiggies, a grandbunny, and a granddog named Brandi. We also had a cat that we loved dearly, but had to get rid of him -- but that's a whole story in itself.
I don't think you're nearly as obnoxious as you try to be. :p And when the bunny misbehaves, my husband threatens rabbit stew and tells her she won't be so lucky when her foot is on his key chain.
I hoped we had nothing in common, alas,we have a black cat,we even had the complete cast of "Watership down" at one point, they systematically ate the garden, it was so bad we had to ornamentally pave before we could sell the house!
Ah the joy of owning pets - vets fees! :( We only have one cat but he has a mild skin problem which needs treating every month..I think we need to remortgage the house for what the vets charge! Wouldn't change him for the world though :)
Yes. Both cats are declawed. The bunny lives on the pool deck and only goes in a cage at night. The black cat can be left outside with her all day, they've been friends for 4 years now. The black and white cat is fairly new & doesn't like to be out for long, since he's afraid of his shadow, so he doesn't get left with her.
Actually I do, since my husband has not yet gotten the boxes to pack everything away. But, I recorded this last month and just now got around to editing :)
I paid $75 one time, for an X-ray on a guinea pig. He died a few days later :( He had a gall stone. With guinea pigs, by the time you notice there's something wrong, it's probably too late. And I've been wondering, what kind of cats are those?
thats what i read online about bunnies-very fragile-"if you EVER think anything is wrong-take bunny into the vet... so i'd worry.. of course..look it up.. diagnose what I THOUGHT the problem might be.. have xrays done.. ultra sound.. etc... = ) and my cats? found them... so i have no idea = ) b&w med to long haird cat & brown & gold med hair cat = )
You shouldnt keep her ALWAYS in the cage. Bunnies like to run around.

If they have a good small pet specialist then they should go to them. They just shouldn't go to the one we had!
