If you want cheap cabinets and are willing to do all the work yourself, yeah, IKEA is the way to go. If you want cabinets designed for you and done by professionals, go to a custom cabinet shop, the little extra cost is worth the service and the warranty.
Cabinets for cheap that is. Granted they are low-end in some ways but you can pay a lot more and end up with a worse product. Their value is hard to beat.
