Spanish and French are Latin languages not similar. However there are languages that are very alike French . I was Romanian and my language has imported in 50 years over 70% of all the French words. Romanian is a francophone official language and yet still can't afford saying similar. Quebecoise is the French language spoken 300 years ago but still not 100% French  Vivre la France! Milk Inc used to have back in 2002 now they only release stuff in Belgium/Netherlands... Sylver they had Germany but it became difficult for them ... lasgo same story ... which i find sad cos i like them and they are almost the same style of music...

the last names u gave can't really recognise the most of them... and some of them just perhaps cos im into belgian music.

I think you're focusing too hard on who wins awards... If awards were a measure of who's best then Britney Spears would be one of the best singers EVAR!!!! Success these days means you're catering to the average taste of the masses.

I also found a list of the most sold BE artists EVAR!, Kate Ryan is at spot... 36, with 3 mil records sold!!!
