I do this style all the time but I leave my hair damp to make sure that the style holds, I dont think it would stay that long in my hair once the braids are taken out if I braid it dry. I also have a lot of hair so it makes it easier for me when I do it. I recommend you put a little mousse when you braid just to give it some hold and just make it a lot easier when you braid.

@NAILLOVER099 ya, for me, it works better if i do it overnight when dry, cus if its still wet in the morning well it's easy to just comb the waves out. Where as when it's dry, the hair is properly bending in the braid for hours when your sleepin' !!!! :D xx

Make sure your hair is dry.

I used to do it when it was wet. And let me tell you. AFRO. So make sure it is dry leave it for 8 hours.... WAZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM.

@fyeahitsamanda im pretty sure her hair was dry. make sure its dry because if you braid your hair while its wet, it might come out a little more frizzy and poofier than you'd want it to be :)

The braid she did was actually a dutch braid. A dutch braid is when you bring under, and a french braid is when you braid over.... So a french braid is a regular braid and you just add hair...she actually did a dutch braid:) A good way to tell the difference....dutch braids pop out, while french braids close into the head, and the actual braid isn't as noticeable:) Hope I helped you out!!

@bluduk100 OMG me too! i actually do 6 braids. 1 my bangs, 2, a FRENCH braid piggy tail, 3, french braid piggy tail on other side, 4&5 two underneight the piggy braids then one in the back, anbd i no longer get an afro. ;)

if you want super waves braid the hair while it's a little wet still, and if i you want it fast clamp the braids FULLY dry with a flat iron for about 5-10seconds on a low-medium heat setting. or braid wet hair and blow dry it. <3
