Personally I think we're all going wrong with our carbohydrates. Good old fashion white potatoes are eliminated by most of us and I am finding it's a huge mistake. It's one of the best energy carbs you can eat. Problem is it's overeaten and generally saturated with butter, margarine or oil.
I challenge any athlete or weight lifter to eliminate fruits and replace them with some potatoes baked or saute in a table spoon of canola or olive oil & salted. I guarantee you run longer than on fruits.

@baeronautics I'm vegetarian to it's really easy to get protein. For protein I eat beans, rice, soy, maca, grains, nuts, seeds, sprouts, spinach, eggs, spirulina, goji berries, and lots of other sources I can't think of.
i was wondering does it matter how you take your eggs when trying to gain muscle? For example do you get more protein out of eggs that are beaten up first then fried or eggs that are just fried straight out of the shell with the yoke?

I've heard it's better for you to eat at least 6 smaller meals a day. 3 big meals a day is just for convenience in our society. Your body absorbs everything better when it's smaller meals spread out. And really what your doing is minimizing the times in the day where your body is hungry.
Should be something like Breakfast, Snack, Lunch, Snack, Dinner, Snack. Look up weight gain (or regular), healthy meal plans if this guy doesn't already have some available.
i'm very thankful for finally someone cares for the skinny. I have struggle with gaining weight for years. I'm so skinny that I need to gain like 10 kg more, and I don't know why I lose weight so easily, it's like I can lose 2 kg in one day. @hardtoresist100 Hi - Unfortunately 2 weeks is a very short time frame to gain much weight. I'd recommend checking out the video on the '8 steps to healthy weight gain' and the other vids you'll find in my youtube channel. That should give you a good starting point. Good luck!

@hardtoresist100 Dude, you are going to have to take a long term approach to this or it's never going to happen. I've gone from 120lbs to 183 lbs, and I didn't do it in 2 weeks. I didn't even do it in 2 years. I've been lifting and eating properly for 3.5 years. Select from these exercises and eat 5-7 solid meals every day. Squat, bench, deadlift, rows, pullups, military press, and throw a few isolation exercises in with those (a FEW...don't go overboard. 1-2 is plenty)

But seriously... i found out that during a workout some people just burn more calories than they eat. Try more flapjacks (oats) and sleep more!!! Recovery is more important than training ;)
@hardtoresist100 it takes atleast 1 and a half year even if u workout if u have the perfect genetics ... it could also take 3 yrs ....u have to eaat healthy all protein, carbs, fats in the right amount for constant 3 yrs
@hardtoresist100 Dude I had the same exact probelm that you did. Eating like a fuckin horse for 3 months straight and couldn't gain a pound. Then I went to the CVS and bought some One A Day Men's Health Formula bottle and off of two weeks I already gained 6 pounds. I'm not saying it'll work for you but what i think the problem was is my body wasn't producing the proper vitamins and nutrients I needed to properly digest food but with those pills it does. Try it out bro

@lord9544 Hi there - The key factor with nutrition is hitting your daily calorie needs with regular and consistent meals of 'clean calories'. Some guys find they need to supplement with protein shakes to hit their daily calorie target. @erriz90 Yeah, we've got to make our efforts consistent and gaining momentum is the most challenging bit of most us. However, there usually comes a point where you can ease up a bit and maintain your gains. It's all about putting in the effort upfront, reaching your desired weight and size, and then striking the right balance with exercise, rest and nutrition to maintain it. @HeeheStyle My top priority would be to 'train' your appetite to increase over time. This means eating at regular intervals regardless of whether the appetite is there or not. By doing this your body should start to 'expect' food at these times and your appetite should increase as a result. It's not necessarily easy to get the ball moving with this, but once you have some momentum it's pretty straightforward. Thanks.

Hi @SPIKEYQWERTY -- I'd avoid the steroids path (not worth the risks in my opinion). My advice would be to incorporate your eating plan with a solid weight training program focused on building muscle mass -- Primarily compound exercises that activate the most muscle fibers and stimulate the greatest natural anabolic response in your body.

@rodriguezplayer i'd start with calculating your calories being taken in daily....then double it. But in a good way; peanut butter, bananas, eggs (like the video says), omega 3 (you can find this at any grocery store, less than $10). You need long lasting fats. Work out and eat shortly after your finsished....grilled chicken and brown rice is a very good after workout meal.

Hi @xxzipitzz - Protein shakes can be useful as an additional supplement, but most guys make the mistake of believing the hype and thinking the protein shake will do all the work FOR them. So they end up disappointed. Instead, I recommend starting WITHOUT protein shakes, getting all the nutrition you need from natural whole foods, and then bringing in trustworthy supplements later (if needed). I've heard it's better for you to eat at least 6 smaller meals a day. 3 big meals a day is just for convenience in our society. Your body absorbs everything better when it's smaller meals spread out. And really what your doing is minimizing the times in the day where your body is hungry.
Should be something like Breakfast, Snack, Lunch, Snack, Dinner, Snack. Look up weight gain (or regular), healthy meal plans if this guy doesn't already have some available.

i'm very thankful for finally someone cares for the skinny. I have struggle with gaining weight for years. I'm so skinny that I need to gain like 10 kg more, and I don't know why I lose weight so easily, it's like I can lose 2 kg in one day. @hardtoresist100 Dude, you are going to have to take a long term approach to this or it's never going to happen. I've gone from 120lbs to 183 lbs, and I didn't do it in 2 weeks. I didn't even do it in 2 years. I've been lifting and eating properly for 3.5 years. Select from these exercises and eat 5-7 solid meals every day. Squat, bench, deadlift, rows, pullups, military press, and throw a few isolation exercises in with those (a FEW...don't go overboard. 1-2 is plenty)

But seriously... i found out that during a workout some people just burn more calories than they eat. Try more flapjacks (oats) and sleep more!!! Recovery is more important than training ;)

@hardtoresist100 Dude I had the same exact probelm that you did. Eating like a fuckin horse for 3 months straight and couldn't gain a pound. Then I went to the CVS and bought some One A Day Men's Health Formula bottle and off of two weeks I already gained 6 pounds. I'm not saying it'll work for you but what i think the problem was is my body wasn't producing the proper vitamins and nutrients I needed to properly digest food but with those pills it does. Try it out bro

@lord9544 Hi there - The key factor with nutrition is hitting your daily calorie needs with regular and consistent meals of 'clean calories'. Some guys find they need to supplement with protein shakes to hit their daily calorie target. @erriz90 Yeah, we've got to make our efforts consistent and gaining momentum is the most challenging bit of most us. However, there usually comes a point where you can ease up a bit and maintain your gains. It's all about putting in the effort upfront, reaching your desired weight and size, and then striking the right balance with exercise, rest and nutrition to maintain it. @HeeheStyle My top priority would be to 'train' your appetite to increase over time. This means eating at regular intervals regardless of whether the appetite is there or not. By doing this your body should start to 'expect' food at these times and your appetite should increase as a result. It's not necessarily easy to get the ball moving with this, but once you have some momentum it's pretty straightforward. Thanks.

im 22, i tried ur diet b4 ...never worked...its a basic balanced diet
i am asian ,skinny...so bottom line...ive got poor genetics.
i have a high metabolism too, cuz i eat 5-6 times a day...tried high calorie weight gainers...but lost the weight as i stopped
so i figure, my body wont allow it to store much fat, or put on muscle,,
unless, i force it too
only 1 way i kno of > steroids...but its damages ur prostate and testicles , + otehr complications

Hi @SPIKEYQWERTY -- I'd avoid the steroids path (not worth the risks in my opinion). My advice would be to incorporate your eating plan with a solid weight training program focused on building muscle mass -- Primarily compound exercises that activate the most muscle fibers and stimulate the greatest natural anabolic response in your body.

@rodriguezplayer i'd start with calculating your calories being taken in daily....then double it. But in a good way; peanut butter, bananas, eggs (like the video says), omega 3 (you can find this at any grocery store, less than $10). You need long lasting fats. Work out and eat shortly after your finsished....grilled chicken and brown rice is a very good after workout meal.

Hi @xxzipitzz - Protein shakes can be useful as an additional supplement, but most guys make the mistake of believing the hype and thinking the protein shake will do all the work FOR them. So they end up disappointed. Instead, I recommend starting WITHOUT protein shakes, getting all the nutrition you need from natural whole foods, and then bringing in trustworthy supplements later (if needed).
