  • it is very small

  • * This video shows no mixing or use of this mixer*

  • my god, thanks for the video, but this is the worst song i ever heard in my entire life.

  • looks like a gameboy

  • Is there any way to rewire the output of the Djay software in to Logic for recording the scratches? I would love to get this to do some scratching in my recording sessions, but I'm not sure how it would work out.

  • @onlyseanmeier With an audio interface, just route the output of djay to one out channel on the ai, and route that channel to one input of the ai, then route that input to logic

  • does the controller work on pc on virtual dj?

  • @ProBiosp mac only.

  • @ProBiosp from my research online i hear its only for mac. but idk i could be wrong

  • @markpcatlin It's only for mac the Typhoon hence why this includes MAC only software in the box but thr Typhoon is it's windows buddy however the spin looks much nicer and is actually cheaper at the moment.

  • @ProBiosp nope

  • @ProBiosp no

  • allen an heath r the king of mixers, but each to there own.

  • this dj can work on another dj software then dj 3 because i hear dj 3 its only for begineer and its suck somebody tell me thats

  • @angryvideogameshad i really like dj but i have heard it can be use with other dj programs

  • i was thinking about getting it but not gona now, looks like a toy,i can imagine some 12 year old brat getting it for Christmas to play chipmunk on lol, allen an heath is where its at.......

  • @blesso1000 I don't think Vestax would ever produce a toy. their mixers are SOLID man. it may be made of plastic, but so is this Macbook I'm typing on, and this aint no toy either. Vestax = king of mixers!

  • what song is this!?!

  • can this work on pc??

  • They now make this for PC too.

  • nope it's exclusively for mac

  • Do you need a mac? or can I use windows vista?

  • @chickenadobo711 mac 10.4 or higher

  • mac only

  • you can program it to traktor i hear...but get a mac

  • You can use it on PC with Traktor

  • @ScorchinBeats The Vestax Typhoon is essentially the same thing but for PC, I think it comes with Traktor too.

  • Anyone know when this comes out in Germany? I went to the Apple store in Munich today and they did`nt have a scooby doo what I was on about when I asked if they stocked it.

  • Exclusive for US and Canada.

  • The only people (besides those that actually play vinyl) who will say this sucks are those who invested $899 in a VCI-300only to be slapped in the face by this release.

$250 vs. $899 is a horrible marketing decsion for a device that essentially does the same thing. Build quality must be garbage...has to be all plastic right?

  • @tjs6025 It may be plastic but it feels very good. They demonstrate it in some retail apple stores and that says something.

  • Anything that coems with a free microphone is a toy.

That being said I would be pretty pissed if I ocughed up $899 for a VCI-300 only to have this come out.

Sure, Serato is a more respected brand then Deejay 3 or whatever but is it $650 better?

Vestax has a really, I mean really bad track record of releasing 10 similar products that run the $ range of $250 - $900. That just pisses people off. Very irresponsible. Hell, the VCI-100 doesn't feature a soundcard yet sells for $150 more!

  • This is just a rebranded VCI-100, a better one at that considering the Spin has a built in sound card.

  • I'm going to try to get this.

  • the dj controller great for people who dont want to be djs!

  • can it cut? is it better than the VCI300

  • it's not meant to be the same - "vestax for the people" is the tagline - rather than a professional controller. Pretty cool huh :)

  • no it sucks

  • Ok, so here is an informal review. After I posted my last comment, I went up to the loft and set everything up. Once I got the input and other sound settings right (I have my imac hooked up to a Podfarm UX2, also). I was able to give it a whirl (pun intended). The jogging wheels are nice; lights up blue and red with touch. Top is metal and touch sensitive. It's a great size, and works excellent with Djay. For $250 including Djay, it's a pretty sweet deal.

  • Looks like a toy

  • I just bought this, still in the box, haven't had time to use yet. so while checking email I wanted to see if there are any reviews out there. I can find none, all there was your video, which is cool, but it seems like nobody even knows this sucker is out yet. i bought mine at the local Apple Store for $250, it includes djay 3, which is what I wanted anyway.

  • It's fair to say that nobody knew about it before this morning.
