You will be arrested even know its legal and have to wait who knows how long to see a judge before they let you go, if they let you go. CA has some really bad gun laws but the ones you really need to know are the county laws. Every county has there own laws on guns and there always more strict then the state laws. If you do this make sure you have the number of a CA lawyer that knows the gun laws for the area youll be in when you have it on your person.

hey i heard u mention u might carry that in ny. i live in ny and i just figured i would let u no that might not be the best idea for one thing ny doesnt allow open carry unfortunately and for 2 in order to have a pistol in ny state u need to have a ny state pistol permit and if u go to nyc u need a special permit just for the city. so just be careful.
