Aaron I would suggest an easy quilt, such as a "Simple Simon" design by Mark Lapenski (sp?). It is all straight line sewing and very attactive. You might find some sewing videos on here to help you learn. Also, the bargello is advanced for a newbie because you have to try to match the rows up and sew them straight. There are some wonderful sewing programs on TV, such as Sewing With Nancy and America sews. You might be able to access them on internet also. Good Luck and Happy Sewing
Awesome quilt!!! My name is Aaron and I want to get into quilting. I have only been sewing a few years. Almost like 4 years. I not great at sewing but love it!!!!!! what advice can you give me? How do I get started? How hard is it?
thanks for the comment. I have a couple of other quilts in the works...one is the weaver fever done in oranges and greens, one is the stack n whack stars, simple simon, and another is a crazy quilt that I self taught. Maybe I will put another video on when I get time.
