  • I can't wait till that education center is finished. You make it sound so grand. Loved the song in video. Thank you for the enjoyment like always.

  • Well done, and really really important to show how wild life is beautiful (and how it sounds). Great work, 5/5

  • Beautiful video, Phil. Seems like the work is picking up in the Education Centre!:)

    FROM YOUR FRIEND AT: 449944991

    -Robert

  • @449944991 It is going to be great to see it in use by all the children that visit the reserve now. Their smiles make things like this, all the more worth it. Not forgetting, introducing them all to the natural world.

  • Another lovely video Phil...Robs song is fabulous its so pleasing to listen...Rob really should go places...

Phil with the Environmental centre would they do reasearch on bird habits etc...Thanks for sharing this lovely video (as usual)...

  • @lmmsl It is being run by the Wildlife Trust. I met Deb yesterday, she knows her stuff. It is going to be a classroom for children and adults whop are interested in Nature and preservation and conservation. The Reserve had 3 schools in 3 days, it is awesome to see the children enjoyinig as they learn. Never had that when I was a kid.

  • Always a pleasure to enjoy, I am too tired to make a witty comment but I am defenently here!:)

  • @scottytoohottie123 They are looking at May time. The Heron Trail, is blocked off a lot of the time as they unload the cables and other parts for the Centre. Went out this morning and was quiet. Managed to get a clip of a Robin before the battery died. Yeps, forgot to charge it last night lol

  • Just what I needed,Phil!

  • @fehquig Good Morning Andy. Loved the Lake video. Loved the birds.

  • Thanks for watching that. I knew you'd enjoy it :)

  • @fehquig Anything that has birds I am passionate about is top rated with me Andy ;)

  • Thank you Phil for another great posting and Rob's music fits so well

    Cheers

    James

  • @bigeeezy Thank you James, its one of my fave songs of Robs

  • The new center is looking good! I'm so excited to see your weeping willows have leaves, as well as the snowdrops still blooming! A lovely mix of Rob's song with the waterfowl at the end, but I always enjoy hearing you speak so affectionately about your second home... it's nice to hear your voice with the wildlife in the background! xoxoxo, S.

  • @Scoppertop Thank you so much Susan. The willows are becoming more green, a sure sign that Spring is here.

  • You sort of did a bit of change-up on this one, and it went nicely. It's great to know that the center is going to be a harmonious addition rather than an intrusion and an eyesore, isn't it?

If the person who asked what Grebes sounded like had asked me, I believe I would have posted this link for them to listen to:

    watch?v=ZOU8GIRUd_g

See ya later, Phil. ( If I'm not blocked by then, that is, ha ha haaaa )

  • @nameofthepen lol Rick Astley lol hahahaha hate him ;)

  • Another wonderful treat my dear friend, Ive got to say the song went straight to my heart. Thank you Phil for our feathered friends, as you say, to wake up and not hear a song of a bird would be devastating. God Bless have a magical week with your loved ones. Lady♥Q blowing gentle puffs of stars your way ***** Have a happy ☺too x

  • @LadyQuaintly Thank you LadyQ. I would not want to be in a world without the birds.

  • very nice video the pussy willow tree's in bloom . The center will look nice when its done, I really like the swans just beautiful

Do you ever see turtles are they on your reserve? 5~Star video :D

  • @hufcar We had a Terrapin there once, but no Turtles. The Terrapin was probably put there because it was too big to keep as a pet. I am amazed it survived, but it did. Wonder if I will see it this year.

  • As i travelled down the A1 from Peterborough to Letchworth this very day, i glanced through the skeleton trees that lined the roadside and i was honoured to view Paxton Pits nature reserve with my own eyes! Twice in fact, once around 9.30am and again around 10.45am as i headed back....youre right, it was quite breezy, but thanfully sunny...hope you had a good day there sir :)

  • @RobElliottMusic You should have called you brat ;)

  • Very posh voice Phil you been sucking plums. vERY NICE VIDEO .

  • @pickoneto oh yes dear boy haw haw haw ;)

  • LOL Pickoneto. :D

  • Hi Phil, I was wondering if there were other types of Grebes? I seem to remember seeing the same type of bird on our campground pond doing it's natural diving & fishing, but it was not crested. At least not from my view. Hugs, Chris

  • @bugsinrug Hi Chrissy. There are four more types of Grebe that I know a little about. They are 01. The Little Grebe 02. Red necked grebe 03. Black necked grebe and 04. Slavonian Grebe. Though grebes, they are not to similar to the Great Crested. It is possible, that it may have been in non breeding plumage, then the Crest is replaced by just a small black cap. It may also be one of the birds known as Divers. Hugs

  • @Zoltrix67 wow! thanks for the info Phil ! xoxo

  • @bugsinrug You are very welcome Chrissy ;) If you ever get the chance to video them or photgraph them, you know I am here waiting ;) Love your videos and the stories, they are a highlight of my week. Hugs xoxoxo

  • @bugsinrug (((Phil)))

  • Love the sounds of spring. You may not believe but it will be my first spring with feeders in the garden and the songs are so lovely it sounds like my own garden forest so many unique sounds.

The Great crested grebe is an amazing bird you would never believe such a magnificent looking bird could be found in British lakes too many people have gone out of touch.

I will not tell you what I think of the video Phil because you would already know :)

  • @thebirdgarden Thank you Ger. I was woken at 4:20am by a Blackbird singing outside my window, Its so cool. I know what you mean about the sounds.

  • Ah...grumblers and not singers! lol...I will leave the singing to Rob and let the ducks do their grumbling....thanks for the reply. That new trail and center will be very nice... vegetation will complete the landscape

  • @tps607 lol you and Rob are great singers Tom ;)

  • @Zoltrix67 Rob is the warbler...I am the duck!

  • That's not a 'songbird' eh Tom !? Hahaha

No one! but Donald Duck ! QUACK !

  • @Meissie35 Annet...we're gonna get in trouble with Phil if we don't treat ducks with more respect...
