Hey I'm a young artist, and I really would like everybody to check out my original ballad on my channel entitled "Why Can't I Live in Your Heart." It's a quiet storm ballad that sounds sounds like a cross between Boyz II Men's "End of the Road," Mariah Carey's "Can't Let Go," and Vanessa Williams' "Save the Best for Last."
You're not alone though; I'm black and I adore this music. It reminds me of 'something', like Pink Floyd and Steely Dan bumped into each other and just got together and wrote really good music....
I'm Black as well! I don't think people realize how Black people are able to like different genres of music besides rap and R&B. This type of genre really intrigued me. I'm the laid back, chill type of person so this type of music relaxes me.
Yeah I kind of agree. It's "blusey-esque". I don't know who's singing here. Don't you feel like you almost don't want this music to become popular because it loses it's sentimental value? Maybe that's just me.
Well I can certainly see your point, but if it gets popular you can say "I was into them when they were underground!" haha. Honestly though, I don't really care who listens to it as long as it touches me (in a spiritual sense, yeah....).
Look up "Oh I Wept" by Free, the vocals are real similar and the general groove has a similar feel.
His name or street name is Rufus. I know his from the UK and I believe is blind. The two producers had like three lead singers for this brillant album. Try smoking a b'luv and chillin to this sensual sound. String arrangements are profound as well. :^P
this is an excellent song...and one of my favorites bands...is so incredible relaxing to hear one of this songs that makes you forget everything else...

@tonysils88 played on an urban channel under the section "Dinner music". I'd call it somewhat ambient/alternative/soul (?)

To be fair, I would say this song takes heavily from more traditional R&B, but that's neither here nor there : P

they ARE actually a band. the vocals are just by various people. from their youtube profile: "Zero 7 is a downtempo styled musical duo comprising Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker from the United Kingdom. The band's songs feature vocals from Mozez, Sia Furler, Tina Dico, Sophie Barker, José González, and for the first time, Henry Binns providing backing vocals on the third album, The Garden."
