Can't "turn gay" any more than we gay & lesbian folk can "turn straight"... however much some may prefer to. Simply put yourself in the other's shoes... or at least TRY to. --Carolyn, the analogy to disliking squash (and being forced to eat it) is so "spot on"! LOVE that! --And, privatebunny, gays ARE capable of reproducing, technically speaking. And maybe, just maybe, not EVERYONE was meant to reproduce, and thank God in an already overpopulated world! You can thank heterosex for that.

Why is it a bad thing to be tempted by alcohol, drug abuse, mental illness, and other brands of temptation and trials? Well, because it makes life difficult. And life was supposed to be difficult so that we could exercise faith in God, and be obedient to HIS plan for us and rely on the Savior to save us from ourselves.

I can relate to this section so well. I am a 21 year old married woman and I have struggled with depression since I was 14. I am active in the LDS church and have prayed so many times saying "Take this away." After all living the Gospel is supposed to bring you joy. But I accept that this is a personal trial that I came to earth with, that I will not always have. When it gets hard I pray to make it through that day and I will make it through.

yes, you will make it. Im an ex gay and things are great now that i have different goals for my life. After being around those godless "queens" it is such a contrast to be around people that have a different spirit about them. Good luck and yes, you are doing the right thing by hanging in there.
