i hear alot of racers wont be attending the baja this year due to the recent assassinations at a few mayors and such just like the dakar rally a while back they stopped doing it in Dakar because drivers were getting shot or blown up by terrorists and their vehicles were stolen by the terrorists

Actually I find it funny how everybody is so far from the course. I guess the city keeps them back off the course there in town. You can search you tube for some of the more ugly crashes (ie. TT"s rolling into spectators on the outside?? of a turn) further down the peninsula. I am surprised that more spectators don't get taken out each year. If you want danger try getting out and chasing for a team.

i would have said if its 50 50, then the next car coming past is going to hit you....so if i didnt get hit by that one, id move out the way, but go see the one after that :p
